What a Gem! I walked into a chic vegan cafe where I wanted to order every single item in the menu. They all looked so good. The lady was so nice and professional, food was promptly served, everyone in there were kind. I love my sandwich - delicious to eat and feels good after eating - that's veganism. Love this local spot near home. Have been in the past for their juices and shots, but never have ordered food. Today, I got matcha, golden toast and the black bean burrito. I LOVED THE pb toast with bananas and honey, although every was delicious and arguable a bit pricey - but good-for-you & healthy food always is. Service was not the quickest, but I didn't wait too long either. The storefront is small, but has ample seating and has a couple of outdoor tables, as well. I love Harney and Sons tea and was pleasantly surprised to see it here at Be Well. I've always seen ads for this cafe but never actually passed by. On my way home from the farmers market I figured I'd stop and get a smoothie. Once I took a look at their menu and saw their cherry pie smoothie I knew I had to try it. It was delicious, super flavorful and very filling. I would definitely stop back in to try other smoothie flavors and get some Harney and sons tea! This is one of the few cafes in Rutherford that provide gluten free options, plant based meals and fresh juice. I've visited a few times and I really want to rely on this place for good food and reliable service but I can't. The portions are large and the food is fresh. I need to add a ton of salt as the salad ingredients are all bland. My order is wrong every time I visit. Ingredients not included in the salad. First time here and it did not disappoint! As an avid healthy eater, I was eagerly surprised to find this place on my Yelp search for healthy food in the area I was in. I had to stop by! First, I was going to go for a salad but was tempted by the delicious sample of the cauliflower chickpea curry the woman gave me along with sampling 2 fresh juices--I went with be cleansed since I don't eat many carrots why not drink it? I also tried the loaded green toast which was on a thick, soft but not too soft multigrain like toast--yum! Everything was so delicious and fresh. The service was so friendly and helpful, definitely worth coming back to, again! I'm already eyeing some other menu items. The ambience of be well is laid back and chill, love the aesthetic- it goes so well with their purpose! Parking could be a little tricky but I found it right in front for 15 min only. This was the absolute best experience and best vibe i've seen in a little shop! The loaded avocado hummus toast was actually to die for! The service was amazing! Manny made it such a happy welcoming environment and even let us try a new product on the menu! We were so happy eating in there and walking out of there! I was really excited to try Be Well because it is difficult to find healthy options in Rutherford. The service was good and they gave me a free sample of one of their juices which I liked. I ordered the Havana Salad Bowl which I did enjoy, but the price was crazy! $16 for a salad without meat puts it about $6 more than other quick service salad spots. read more

I stopped in looking to bring home soup or to see what was available to bring to eat to a celiac and asked if any soups today are gluten free? I was told the barley soup was. Even I know Barley is a big no no. Glad I had common sense and not taken her word for it and brought home soup and said it would have been safe to eat. So maybe I can get a smoothie so I asked about the coconut one and the board changes as I was reading ingredients above me.. she handed me a menu and I stepped aside to read the coconut smoothie ingredients from the menu board and noticed discrepancy in ingredients on the laminated menu card. Be well lets you be anything you want to be, as long as it's on the list of things it says you can be. You can be protected, glorious, energized, immune, and a few other things. That's if you decide to have their cold pressed juice. I just wish that they were a bit more specific on how you can be protected. If I drink the juice will I be protected from fake news, climate change, and rattlesnakes? Or were they more referring to certain cancers, diseases, and high blood pressure? Then when it comes to the be immune juice, exactly what are we immune from? Like is this why Aaron Rodgers and Novak Djokovic didn't get covid shots, were they just coming here? And then how does a juice make you glorious? Maybe I won't ever really know until I try. I got their "be energized" and I did feel more energized after. I'm really glad I went here. I had the devil and angel on my shoulders. There was a donut shop right next to be well. I understand why donut shops don't name their food the same way be well does.
