Man, this place is fantastic. I lived in central Texas for a few years. I used to plan my work weeks around where I wanted to eat BBQ... I've had the greatest Texas has to offer. Beach BBQ is in my top 5 BBQ list of all time. Wright's is good, but doesn't break the top 10. The owners of this place are beyond friendly. Offer samples while ordering your plate in line. Can't go wrong w anything on the menu. The sides are fantastic as well. Ordering here is difficult because everything is so damn good. Way to go! read more

Did not dig the service or the food. Person slicing the brisket was questionable. When I asked for lean he acted like he could not do it because it would mean he would have to open up another brisket ... and he didn't want to. After waiting for him to make the call, he finally did it. But he didn't want to. We had a pretty disappointing dining experience. First off, many meats were not available. We had wanted burnt ends and ribs and both were unavailable. The meats we did choose were ok, but by no means great. Sides were super disappointing. The beans tasted as if they were directly out of a can. The pasta in the Mac and cheese was over cooked but the cheese sauce was tasty. The collard greens were good but everything that was supposed to be hot were room temp at best. Also one of us only ordered meat by the pound and clearly they guessed the weight because we did not see it being weighed. The portion was ridiculously small. Smoked chicken wings are amazing. I've had them a few times now, and they are always great.

Good food but my only 2 complaints are long, SLOW line and I felt that there should have been more meat on my nachos. But the nachos were tasty and while waiting in line, they pasted around a sampler of brisket. Would I return? Yes but I'd peak inside to see if the line was short. read more

My wife, son, and I came here and truly enjoyed everything we had here. I had the brisket, pulled pork, street corn, and the mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife and son had pulled pork sandwiches and the mac and cheese. All of it was yummy, but the pulled pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese were next level good. The staff was great at answering our questions, making recommendations, and checking in after we had taken our seat. The music at the restaurant was also not the typical country music most bbq restaurants play the night we were there - we really enjoyed our dinner at Beach BBQ and will be back. read more

*Update* We went in last night and figured out quickly they changed the way they used to do things. Instead of ordering at the front and seating yourself, you are seated after a wait with several other people waiting to be seated and asking us for direction on what to do. When we finally were seated, we were seated at a table of 6 and we were a party of 2. Since they were busy, we told the waiter they could seat people at the table with us. While waiting for our waitress to bring us water and menus the people around us were all looking around for staff. One person had the wrong food brought to him and when he brought it to the waiters attention he was told that's what it's supposed to be even though the description did not match what the menu stated. They changed the menu from having great options to odd options for a bbq restaurant. The old menu in my opinion was tremendously better. We all finally ordered. BUT I was told I could not order the 2 meat dinner because they had NO SIDES? I asked about a new item on the menu and if it came with anything. Waitress said she "didn't think so". She didn't know anything about the new menu. We ordered and added a side of fries since she said the sandwich would not come with anything. Another table nearby was seated (6 people) they ordered, received their food (WITH SIDES??) and ate it with our food still not insight. We asked for an update several times. The three people who were sharing our table left after asking how much longer our food would be and were told "they are doing the best they can". I asked how the other tables were getting their food before us, another "I don't know". Over an hour later, I called the manager over. Explained to him that we only ordered two sandwiches. What was taking so long? Our waitress brought out a basket of fries and 5 minutes later the manager came with our sandwiches, that did come with fries as we were walking out the door. We asked for a box because we were done waiting. The food was good, but this was a terrible experience. I have no idea why they changed up how they did things before or changed their menu. They had a good thing going, but it has completely flipped and hope it goes back to how they used to do things or quickly figure it out. read more

I had the turkey, brisket, and pork belly. All were amazing. The manager or owner or employee truly cares about making good bbq as he was personally asking how the bbq tasted and looking for improvement. The place wasn't packed (which I like) and everything looked clean. The modern style looks good as well. Only two critiques. The price could be a tiny bit more competitive or increase the qty a small bit to offer more value. Also, I wish they would stay open just a little bit longer. I have had the nachos two times and it's delicious. The people working are always so nice. I will say, though, the latest experience wasn't as great as my first. I ordered nachos with brisket (surcharge) to go. I had to order to go because I had to wait in line 20 mins. The wait is due to how it is set up for ordering, so I would look into changing that (as management). I got my nachos, left , but noticed when I got home... no brisket. The nachos were great but I paid $21 for lunch with no meat. I'll definitely give it a try again, and I think it may just be new restaurant jitters. read more

Went on a Monday because the other BBQ place we normally go to was closed and Beach did not disappoint. The Brississippi sandwich was top notch but we split an order of wings and corn fritters as a side. I'm a bit of a wing connoisseur and I'd put these wings up against any. We were all full but the corn fritters were so good no one could stop eating them. Staff was friendly and checked in twice with us and kept the dining room clean. The sauces on the table were all really good, particularly the Carolina plus bottles of vinegar and hot sauce. We were pleasantly surprised and how good it was and will put this place on our rotation. read more

A nice stop on a quick business trip! I came a little too close to closing time so there were a few things on the menu that weren't available, but the substitutions they suggested were great. Mac and cheese was definitely a win and so we're the smoked dry rub chicken wings. The ranch had a pickle flavor which wasn't my favorite but the wings didn't need any additional sauces to compete with anyways. I was hoping to get some of the corn that was on the menu in another picture online but they only had it for a limited time. The cashier and chef were nice and patient as it was my first time ordering there. Would definitely recommend dining in as the restaurant was comfortable, quaint, clean and modern! read more

We drive by all the time and finally decided to stop in. The space itself is awesome and the food is even better. They have a great selection of sides and a few that aren't your typical bbq joint sides. We had the brisket, burnt ends, and pulled pork. I've always said the best BBQ in Arkansas is (that little house in Johnson) but this is right up there with it. We will be back soon. Needs more marketing - once people come in they will keep coming back but it took over a year for me to come in. read more

So good! Being from Texas, I've had a hard time finding BBQ here in NWA that I like. My husband picked up some dinner for us and brought it home. I was thrilled to find brisket that reminded me of home. While I had the loaded baked potato with brisket, which was the kind of soft skin potato that I actually enjoy to eat in its entirety, it was delicious. Best barbecue I've ever had. The man operating the meats knew exactly what to do. I walked in and there was a few people ahead of me. They were taking a long time to order and I was hungry. I came to the front, and he immediately handed me a piece of meat that was so mind melting it turned my whole night around. This meat was so mouthwatering and so delicious it brought a single tear to my eye, I have never experienced such masterful bbq. You can also get a drink while you wait for your food. BEST BBQ anywhere!!! Several of their items are the best I've ever tasted. Brissippippi, Smoked turkey and beach corn on the Cobb are exceptional. I'm from Texas and I've had bbq all over the country and this is by far my favorite place. Servings are small for the price (expensive), loaded bake potato was warm not freshly cooked, not steaming as you would expect. The brisket was good and the chopped pork as well. The dry rum smoke wings were very small. From a chick not a chicken, when you ask for a dry rub you do not put sauce with it and spilled in to the dry rub wings. Service ok and friendly. Outstanding meats!! My husband smokes his own meat, so we've become a bit of BBQ snobs. We tried the brisket and the pork, both are amazing.
