Part of what I purchased was service on my Lincoln. When services was needed Beach Ford was to pick up my car and leave a loaner. Over time, I stopped asking for a loaner because the difference in scheduling between just having the car picked up and brought back versus the same with a loaner was most often several weeks stretching to a month. Then, this last time, April 2025, I arranged for a pickup. It was scheduled for 10AM. No one showed. I waited till 10:30 and called. I would be transferred to service, put on hold and transferred back to the receptionist. This happened several times until I got disconnected in service. When I called back, I finally got to the service department and the young lady that answered said that she was just filling in and didn't know what was going on but that the two drivers had just came back and she would send them out. By the time they arrived, a 10 AM appointment was most likely be 11 AM or later. I told the lady that I would be understanding if they had called and said they would be late, but to just leave me hanging is extremely poor service. Avoid the service department. It's extremely disorganized. After being transferred and disconnected multiple times, I finally got an appointment, but when I arrived, they couldn't find it. They kept my car for three days without any communication. When I called to follow up, they said there was nothing wrong with the issue I reported. I will never return. read more

I am a 23 year old woman fresh out of college. I was excited to use the money I earned at my first full time job to purchase my dream car. I chose this Beach Ford dealership because I heard such great things about it. I very excitedly bought my first 2018 mustang for $22k. I noticed problems with the car a week after purchase. The problems were not evident (simply slight vibration in idle) and since there were no warning lights I assumed this was how this type of car ran. When a warning light did come on (about two weeks after purchase) I brought it to a third party mechanic who said the car was in bad shape. I brought it back to Beach Ford with proof from the third party mechanic but was given the run around by the sales team for over 2 hours. Eventually, I agreed to let them look at the car before any further discussion. The service department determined that it only needed a small repair which I paid for. They fixed it, test drove it, and said that it was fine now. When I got the car back I noticed that the vibration was still there. I was ignorantly under the belief that the vibration was a normal part of this car and the check engine light must have been due to another issue that was resolved. However, the light came back on while I was out of town so I brought it to another Ford dealership. This dealership told me that the Beach Ford's fix was laughable. They told me to take it back and get it fixed for free. I now have 2 mechanics who have looked at the car and refused to service it because they said it was this dealership's responsibility to fix it for free. I recently was told from this service department that they have now determined it needs a $5k fix. However, both the sales and service team have refused to work with me. I believe that if I buy a car from a reputable dealership it should be in working condition. I have bought three cars before and have never had this awful of an experience with any dealership. DO NOT buy a used car from this dealership. The Ford dealership in Conway is much more reputable and willing to work with you when these situations arise. Plus it is only 30 minutes up the road. read more

One of the worst Ford dealerships around, careful with this dealership, service advisor Ryan needs a lot more training at customer service. Not sure if he or the mechanic sabotage my vehicle, but I they diagnosed my problem as a turbo coolant supply tube problem, cost to repair $1,300.00, not covered under warranty, I declined. Took to another service department and the said I needed a new water pump, covered under warranty, my vehicle works fine now. Complained to Ford Corporate, they do not deserve to be in business. Had a sales person that did not do her due diligence when asking questions nor did the other person . When I go buy a car I answer their questions and I do not pretend to know how to sale cars nor do I read minds. I had signed paperwork and had the Ford page to receive rewards and was getting ready to add the new car on my phone oh and getting ready to put my things in the new car so the sales person kept saying. Turns out she didn't ask the questions she assumed nothing was owed on my vehicle and never asked and I figured this day and time you can tell if the vehicle is paid off or not with technology being what it is. But the horrendous thing is after signing paper work to purchase this vehicle they said opps can't do it . Your people missed up and you blame the customer and make them feel as if they did something wrong . Don't assume customers can read minds we are dealing with professional sales people that should know what questions to ask and you should never expect a customer to know everything you know especially with today's technology. We depend on you to ask the right questions otherwise I would not need you. After all of this they called me a couple of times I decided to call them back and they wanted a chance to see what they could do and I gave them a chance to be disappointed and really let down by this company! Your people missed up and yet the customer pays the price. The thing is after you know the customer had a very horrific experience with you don't call them back unless you can make it right because it only adds a very distasteful taste to doing business with you. When looking at a car on the lot and going through the tedious typical dealer "negotiation" car buying process was pretty non eventful.....However after the purchase you can't get call backs or replies on texts to questions/requests. Apparently the Beach Ford Myrtle Beach solution is to ignore the customer and hope the will go away. Verbal offers during buying process were not documented so they carry no weight and won't even be discussed to come to a fair meeting of the minds..... Never again Beach Ford, never again! read more

Extremely Disappointed in the service. I have been bringing my vehicles to Beach Ford for quite a while for service. Bought a car from them. But my last visit to their service department was unacceptable. I drive 17 miles each way for their service. I had an appointment for oil change and suspension issue. I had a verified email from them for both services. Yet when I arrive the service advisor said they could only do the oil change because he didn't show the suspension issue. I showed him the email from his Service Department and he still declined to do the service. 34 mile round trip for no service. I'm changing to another dealer. Terrible service department kept my vehicle for 1 day and didn't work on it at all. I scheduled my appointment 5 weeks ahead of time. I arrived on time on the day of my appointment. They shuttled me home. Late in the afternoon I called to follow up and was told that nothing had been done to my vehicle. They asked if they could keep it another day or two. BEWARE !!! Check the BBB before you shop. This place is a nightmare. Every problem, excessive oil consumption, Multiple electronic issues, hood, etc. etc. . were all called NORMAL Dent in car. scratch on bumper, seatback not put back properly. During a multipoint inspection , at about 2700 miles the Aviator was down 1 1/3 Qts. and they didn't top it off. It had 2 recalls and I think only one was done. Refusal to service or repair dent etc. ON and ON. As of July/August 2021, shuttle driver not vaccinated or wearing a mask. If you have COPD, like me, or another high risk ailment this could be important. Called Ford Customer service, who gave me other dealers. Tidelands said take it back to where I bought it. Conway Ford said not certified for 2021 Lincoln's. Sold car at about 2800 miles at a loss. read more

Purchased a "new" car for my daughter a couple of weeks ago...finance guy literally LIED to me about my credit score - told me it was 50 pts lower than it actually is - I even got a letter from Wells Fargo showing me my REAL Equifax score. I have a problem with my media screen freezing up , going blank. I brought it in and supposedly it was repaired. It did the same thing again and it froze up. I set another appointment up to have it repaired and it was for a little over three weeks before they could give me a loaner vehicle because they said it may take a couple of days to repair my vehicle. Now my vehicle is a 2022 Ford Explorer. Bought new from there. I had an appointment scheduled for early August. The day of appointment I received a call saying there was no loaner vehicle available and if I still needed a loaner vehicle they would call me when they had one available. A month later and still no call and my media screen is still giving me much problems. I am going there today and ask them to repair my media screen. I won't worry about a loaner vehicle. It's obvious they don't give out loaners anymore, or they totally forgot about me. read more

My husband--a clean-cut marine officer--was completely and blatantly ignored not once but TWICE when he stopped by to look at cars. He saw two sales guys standing around shooting the shit look right at him then look away. He walked around, came back to the car to tell me, then decided to try again, taking off his inner hoodie (it was cold so he had on multiple layers) to see if that might fare better. Nope. I should have read the reviews on this place for coming here to get my Lincoln Navigator serviced. I am very disappointed in Borge customer service and integrity this dealership has. We had a tune up done in my SUV that costs $700. All we needed was a spark plug change. THATS IT. Once we came back to pick up the truck there was a loud knocking noise in the bottom of the engine was wasn't there before. Of coarse the mechanics didn't take the blame. So we had to pay an additional $150 for a diagnostic test to be ran. After waiting four days, they finally called us back telling us it was nothing they did and we needed a new motor. Almost $1000 dollars later and we left with a broken car. Thanks beach automotive, way to screw over a pregnant service woman on Fourth of July. read more

I had my Ford Edge towed here for repair after the service light came on. That afternoon I go back and after waiting quite some time.. the lady comes to the desk and tells me the repair will be a little over $800 and if I don't want it done they can lower it off the rack but it won't run. It was running when I had it towed... I just wasn't sure what was wrong but now it wasn't running. Had no choice to have it repaired. Go pick it up a couple days later and they said it was completely fixed and no issues. Left the lot and the transmission sounds like it's going to fall out! Tried to go back but they were closed. I am from Raleigh, NC and purchased my Ford Explorer in Raleigh. While vacationing in Myrtle Beach, the Explorer experiences some engine overheating problems. We called our dealer in Raleigh, who then called Beach Ford to help us out. Rob Hannon with Beach Ford contacted is immediately, and arranged for a tow for our vehicle, and a loaner car for us to get back to Raleigh. We are so grateful for all Rob did at Beach Ford. Made a seemingly simple call to their service department to inquire about a possible recall on our car. Was placed in a never ending loop of pre-recorded hell.My call was answered 4 (!) times with the question "how may I direct your call". The last time, the receptionist put me through to a service department employees' VM. Waiting for a call back. I was on the phone for 9M 14S. If their actual "service" is anything like trying to get a simple answer to a simple question, I would not let them put air in my tires. read more

I recently stopped by Beach Lincoln to shop a lease an MKC. Clay Purifoy was my salesman. After a few minutes with Clay, I understood all the "Salesman of the Month" awards on the wall. The sale went quickly and they beat the competition by a mile. Most impressive was the product knowledge Clay had on the vehicles Sync system and the operation of every single button or dial answering all questions like a Manufacturer's Product Specialist. I came away knowing the MKC and liking it more and more. He explained all the buttons and modes in the MKC (which I chose after looking at the Cadillac XT5 and researching the previous model) Clay made it very simple and inspired confidence with his friendly way. Recently had over $2000.00 in repairs done to the fan clutch / cooling system on my E450 diesel truck. 3-4 weeks later I'm working in Raleigh and the truck overheats. No coolant. Took it to Crosslands Ford in Cary as truck was not driveable and I was stranded. Truck had damage to the radiator. The Ford repair tech said it appeared that the radiator had three holes punched in it during the previous repair at Beach. It costs another $1000.00+ to repair plus an extra night in a hotel. I took the radiator to Beach and they denied any responsibility whatsoever, even knowing that another Ford technician told me the cause of the damage. We have eight of these trucks in our business and not one is ever going here for even air in the tires. read more

Shame on you Beach Ford... been a Ford owner for many years... traveling from out of state, stopped to have a truck mirror evaluated. Towing a large RV, so mirrors are a must. One of my mirrors will not stay in the locked position, service writer said I would need an appointment, and none available till next week, since I am traveling... this was not an option. Could have at least had someone look at it... really? When ask if someone could at least look at it he replied I would need an appointment... Sad representation of Ford. My husband and I drove an hour and a half to test drive a vehicle we saw on the internet. The vehicle was shown with a tonneau cover, an accessory valued at approximately $1600. When we arrived, the tonneau cover had been taken off of the truck and sold. We were not offered any compensation for the cover and told the cover did not affect the price of the vehicle. Brought my 2014 Escape in for recall service. Scheduled an appointment weeks in advance. I mistakenly showed uo two days early. "Not a problem" I was told. They said it would take all day. I knew that from the recall notice. About an hour after dropping it off, I received a text from the service rep thanking me for bringing my car to them and inviting me to communicate via text. Early in the afternoon I texted to make sure i wasn't going to drive nearly 30 miles and the car not being ready. Got no response. Called and they could not get the service rep to the phone. I left him a voicemail to see if the car was going to be ready. No reply. Called again to no avail. Arrived at 4:45pm ( they close at 5) and was told they hadn't got to the car. Really? Ended up keeping my original appt two days later. On the communication side of things...same thing. When I dropped it off the day before, the service rep could not be found. I left the key with another service rep. I called the next morning to confirm the original service rep had the key and that the car would be serviced. He confirmed. I asked him to let me know by 3pm if the car would not be done. I called at three just to be sure. The service rep could not be located. After being tossed back to the receptionist three times, I asked to speak to the Service Manager. He didn't answer after two attempts to raise him. I asked to speak to the General Manager....ditto....no answer. Finally, after nearly 20 minutes on the phone, the original service rep answers and tells me tha car is almost done. When we arrived the car was ready. This facility has no clue what customer service is or even should be. By the way, I bought this car from them in the fall of 2014. Was lied to during the process by the salesman. Not to be trusted! I'm embarrassed for them. BEWARE! read more
