The shower curtain liner in our room was brown and covered in mold, and the entire bathroom smelled strongly of mildew the entire time we were there. There were also dead bugs inside the bathroom light sconces, which made it obvious that basic cleaning and maintenance are being neglected. The most shocking issue was finding a blood stain on the bed. That is absolutely inexcusable and made me seriously question the cleanliness of the room and whether the linens had been properly changed or inspected. The amenities advertised were just as disappointing. The pool was literally caved in and unusable, yet there was no clear indication of that beforehand. And the so-called "free breakfast" consisted of a few deli meats laid out on a plate, which hardly qualifies as breakfast and felt incredibly misleading. I understand that older hotels require upkeep, but there is no excuse for mold, stained bedding, dead bugs, and misleading amenities. For the price charged, this experience was unacceptable. I would not stay here again and hope management takes these issues seriously before more guests have a similar experience.

So, it was safe to say my expectations were not that high. Wow!!!!!! I was totally wrong about that. The owner Tabitha, greeted me upon arrival w/a beaming smile and a big & fun personality. When I got to my room, it was one of the coziest, cutest, and serene hotel rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. After I brought my bags in my room and got situated, I walked around the grounds of the hotel and noticed they offered an outdoor almost (back yardish) spot for entertaining guests, complete with a small gazebo, fire pit, outdoor games, a table to dine or relax at w/chairs and small love seat, and a grill! Later on while trying to decide on a local restaurant to order dinner from, the grill that I had seen earlier popped into my head. I thought to myself, I'll go ask the owner if the grill is available for guests to cook dinner on? I figured the owner would probably laugh at me and tell me absolutely not. After I asked her this question, Tabitha (w/a big smile on her face) told me that she had purchased the grill for the guest to have a different option other than ordering out. So, I jumped in my car and drove down to Stop & Shop and bought a New York strip steak, fresh asparagus, fresh scallions, fresh mushrooms, and fresh ingredients to make a salad. I went to bed that night with not only a big smile on my face because of the hospitality, but also a pretty big sized full belly from the dinner I consumed! If you and your significant other ever decide to escape every day life and head down to the Cape for a great date night, I highly recommend reserving a room at "The Inn at Buzzards Bay"

Rooms: - A good size for two people and maybe a pet or two - Sound proof for privacy - Have their own bathrooms and AC units Common Areas: - Clean, dog friendly, full of games + brochures/guides - The backyard is an oasis with its own dog park and gazebo for relaxation Breakfast: - Absolutely delicious! Three courses, coffee, juice - Served at reasonable hours - Eat inside or outside, depending on the weather! Location: - Sharon's spot is a 4-6 minute drive to anywhere you'd like to go in town - A quick walk to the state forest (entry is free unless you're camping) - Start of Cape Cod so there's less traffic in and out, while it's very easy to drive to other towns! I loved…read moremy room,even though the person on duty was less than kind.he calked me a name,yelled at me ( and my sisters), he said i was breaking stuff on purpose so i could call and complain, i ended up having to spend alot of time in my room,but couldnt see because light wasnt working ( looong story) .the outside had pretty flowers,anice courtyard,and close to beach. The hotel was nice enough,but the hospitality was not....ive worked in customer servicemany years and i wouldnt dare talk to or treat anyone like he treated me....i actually was going to gift them a piece of my art decided against it,i didnt feel he deserved a kindness like that lol
