This place is a little shack right by a bridge and there's a place for kids to dip their feet in the water. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it was packed. There are a few picnic tables, but since there was an event today with live music and a beer tent, it was busier than usual (according to my friend who's been there before). Unfortunately we weren't able to find seating, but it was still fun eating our food standing up and you can also sit on the rocks by the water. You can also grab your food to go. They are old school and cash only, and you order at a window, get your little buzzer, and wait to pick up your food. Do I think $58 for a jumbo lobster roll is expensive (regular is around $40)? Yes. Was it the best lobster roll I've ever had? Also yes. It was just a little buttery, with a generous heap of lobster meat that was fresh and juicy, on a nice buttered roll. We had to eat most of the meat with a fork before biting into the roll. My husband and I shared the jumbo roll as well as a bowl of clam chowder, which was delicious and also came with a pretty generous amount of seafood in it. It was enough to fill us up for an early dinner. The pale ales we got were also great. I think they do have bathrooms that are not portapotties but there was a line so I didn't get to use them. I initially thought $53 for the jumbo lobster roll was too much money but regretted not ordering it later after I saw another table get it. It was huge and looked incredible. Instead, we ordered a fried fish (haddock) plate and a fried scallop plate (comes with fries and slaw). I preferred the scallops which were tender and perfectly fried with a light coating that was not too greasy. The haddock was fine but nothing special IMO. The fries were decent but I didn't care for the watery slaw. The picnic tables by the water had the perfect ambience but be careful not to get a table too close to the water at sunset unless you like wet feet when the tide comes in. We watched kids jumping into the water at a nearby bridge. You order at the booth and they call your number when your food is ready which does take a while at peak times. A classic New England seafood shack. It doesn't get any better than this! My husband and I stopped by after the beach. We ordered a fried scallop plate to share. BIG MISTAKE. Seating is wooden picnic benches with beverages from on premise vending machines. We drove up while others were casually strolled up in bathing suits. A pickup truck pulled up around back to unload a crate of fresh lobster. It all seemed to work in its simplicity. Our large lobster rolls came with meat piled high onto a brioche. A nice variety of meat that extended beyond just the claw. They offered regular and large size sandwiches. Of course, I ate the entire large because I was raised to clear my plate. My wife could barely finish hers, which meant more for later (you can judge how much you need). They only have the cold, mayo option here, however they offer a side of butter if you are inclined. As you might expect -- only cash here. But they do have an on site ATM. A nice option to satisfy a summer lobster rolls craving in the South Shore without getting into the whole Cape thing. By far the best lobstah roll I've ever had! The regular size is more than I could finish, I can't imagine how big the jumbo is. Maybe the next time we go, we'll order the jumbo and split it! Came here for lunch - what a great spot! Close to the beach, friendly service, and the lobster was so fresh! You could literally see the lobsters that came off the boat that morning. Fun bench seating area Covid realities that don't bother me. It took about 45 minutes from order to service. They had a labor shortage. They fessed up and were totally honest about it. The menu is basic and most things are fried however everything is super fresh. Being foodies and tourists we went for the obvious - a jumbo lobster roll. It was $50. But it was glorious! 3 lobsters worth of fresh tasty meat on a sweet bread. Just wow! I just wish they sold beer, though I'm sure you could byob if needed. Anyway it was great. We then also bought 5 huge lobsters that were steamed right there and made for a spectacular dinner with friends that evening. Favorite lobster roll in Massachusetts. I drive 45 minutes to here atleast 5 times a summer. Their drinks are so good, especially the red sangria. Service is great and they are quick to fix problems. Love the outdoor seating right by the marina. One year they had a heated tent for the fall months. They also offered blankets for guests to wear when it got cold.
