    Homemade Bread Pudding

Seafood heaven!! I was not expecting to be so impressed, but here we are! My husband and I were craving seafood so we came here for dinner. We started with a bowl of clam chowder and it was clam-chowder-perfection! The consistency is not too thin but also not too thick, perfect for chowder! For my entree, I ordered the baked stuffed scallops and omg!! They are now my favorite scallops I've ever had. They had a special flavor that was very addicting and I couldn't stop eating them even after I was full. Even my sides - scalloped potatoes & brussel sprouts - were so good, I could have eaten them as a meal alone! For dessert, we shared the homemade bread pudding and I can't think of an accurate enough word to describe how delicious it was! I'm already looking forward to coming back here :)

Expensive for what you get. Service was marginal at best. Server had 5 tables and was overwhelmed. Trio was tasteless and steak was ordered well done. Came out medium. Very disappointing visit.

Hostess scowled at me when she saw my mother was in a wheelchair & told me to call her to have it stored elsewhere. Chowders were loaded with clams, but tepid. The potato in the chowders must have been microwaved, because they were like mashed potato dumplings. The onion rings & French fries were room temp. The broiled scrod & veggie casserole were tepid. So disappointing. The dining room is nice & clean. I won't be coming back. My mother's fried clams were warm, but rubbery & most of her plate was cold French fries.

Ask the Community - Satuit Tavern

    Is it dog friendly?

I cannot say for sure but based on the number of times I've been there and never witnessed a dog there I'd be sure to call ahead

    Do they deliver food?

    I have no idea.

Just so good. Had a dozen oysters on the half, ice cold and delicious. Sure, they could have been bigger, but they really sufficed. Shrimp cocktail, four jumbo monsters chilled to perfection. The sauce was nice and spicy too! I had the lobster stew, another great dish. Creamy, home made, lots of lobster in it too! She has the Cobb Salad with Lobster and I the traditional New England Lobster Roll - that is, cold. Wonderful service, friendly, and full of great recommendations. Clean facility. We sat under the shade on the deck on the harbor. Tide was coming in, so we had the great salt-air smell, and just watching the boat traffic roll in and head out. No negatives whatsoever.

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

First visit: loud, packed and a bit chaotic for a Tuesday night, my surf and turf of slightly overcooked rosemary turkey tips and tender fried clam strips (wha?!) were still nicely seasoned, and sided by blanched and buttered green beans. Huge side salad with pumpernickel croutons. My campy frozen cocktail with way too much whipped cream was served spilling over itself. It was collegiate, at best, and the easily frazzled FOH couldn't keep up with the madness. Second visit: Sunday early lunch. Beautiful weather had us harborside beneath a sprawling umbrella on their spacious dock. Cape Cod Reuben ($12) is clean cod, fried and topped with crunchy slaw, Swiss and thousand island on toasted marble rye. Opted for a side Caesar ($3 upcharge) and was really, really pleased with the entire meal. Wife enjoyed her modified Ol' Smokey Melt with skin-on fries ($10), and the kiddo ripped through his Cod Sticks ($9). Parents, take note: crayons and coloring pages are provided, but there are no dedicated kid's plates. In lieu of this, family friendly options are noted on the standard menu. The prevalent note is that service was stretched in both occasions, and with a fairly young staff, I can understand how this could be frustrating.
