I'm a sucker for sprouts and Beach Hut has them. I love the surf n bird on a grilled French roll. The beach club is a delicious hot sandwich to choose from. The staff are always so friendly. Such a cute place to eat at if you want to feel like you are by the beach. read more

What happened to a once proud and often best sandwhich shop? Think the lesson here is dont go to many food places on Sunday. Typically the good employees are off, you get the bench crew. For the prices the charge, beach hut is a once in a while indulgence. But my recent visit produced a bland, flavorless sandwhich. It was so disappointing im considering not going back. Again, if youre charging me that ammount, at least make sure the sandwhich is fresh, tasty, and overall worth the price. Sadly Beach hut failed, and probably lost a customer. There are some other sandwhich options that actually hit the mark. Step up your game Beach hut, you cant get away with subpar, overpriced sandwiches forever. read more

Seriously people? Beach Hut's sandwiches are in a different ballpark from all other sandwich shops in Yuba City. It's not even close. Go get yourself a roast beef sandwich from Beach Hut and then compare it with any other sandwich shop in the area. I already know how this test ends. -DROPS THE MIC- read more

This sweet, extremely popular eatery is a favorite of our work team - everyone loves something from this fresh, friendly little eatery located in a strip mall. Parking is super easy, and all servers have the enthusiasm and right level of friendliness that makes you feel welcome and valued. Ambiance gives all visitors a quick taste of aloha in Yuba City - and their food certainly doesn't disappoint! I also ordered via Postmates and food was fantastic! I love this beach hut ! I can eat anywhere, but this is worth the calories and moolah. Taste it!! Delicious! Server Gives us two baskets to split the medium size! This half sand is way more food and satisfaction than the foot long at sub-whatever! Veggies are always yummy fresh! Meat plentiful and sauce tasty. And if you don't have to go back to work, have one of the delicious IPA drafts in a frosty mug. Yummmm! read more

Love me some Beach Hut. I always get the North Shore with avocado and it comes to me as a masterpiece of sandwich art. It tastes just as good as it looks with plenty of meat veggies and flavor. The bread is great too as it is soft yet compliments every bite of the sandwich. Not the kind of bread you leave because the ratio of sandwich to bread is perfect. So we gave this place another chance at another location. I do like this style of the place so I gave it a two this time but nothing has changed from the other location. I enjoyed this place. One interesting thing I learned about this place before coming is that they serve sandwiches with cream cheese. I've never seen that anywhere else, but why? Sounds good to me! I did't end up ordering a sandwich with cream cheese though. I go the Ultimate Reuben which took a twist on the classic and served it drenched in Italian dressing. I did take a few bites of my wife's sandwich with cream cheese and it's definitely different, but very good! As for the place, its got a fun beachy theme, similar to Islands if it were a a small sandwich shop. Workers were nice. They have good beers on tap, though I didn't order one. Food is served on an upside down frisbee to prove they are committed to the casual beach vibe. Overall it's a good place and I can see why people like it. read more

So we go in and the girls behind counter are busy getting drinks. They barely acknowledge me. Then when they do I ask for a min. A couple mins later, the girl brings out the beer for other seated customers, so I step back out of her way. Another customer walks through door and gets to the counter before I can because I moved for the worker. Then I politely say, excuse me, I was here first. She says"well the line starts here...". Huh???? Like wtf? She's lucky I didn't loose my sh$&. How rude. I just walked out. Won't be back. read more

Okay - this just happened tonight (12 July 2020). Went to the local store here in Yuba City. Their Sunday closing time is 7:00pm, posted on the website. I arrived at the store around 6:45, only to be met at the door by a worker who told me they closed at 6:30. Huh? Excuse me? The sign at the door also said closing time is 7:00pm, which I pointed out. She then said her boss told them to close early, "due to Covid." Convenient excuse, but okay. My issue is, if you're gonna change your operating hours, that info should be posted. That way, your patrons won't waste their time and gas driving to your shop. Well, no worries, beach hut. You won't have to worry about me, my business OR my money ever again. read more

I'm only giving 3 stars instead of 1, because this is not a normal occurrence. Today we went in and order sandwiches to go for our business. Usually there are never any issues, but today none of our orders were correct when we got them back to work. The girls working I've never seen before (and I go in quite a bit). We both looked at each other (like in the commercials) and said Beach Hut Deli. So there I drove since Pauly used the "I drove my motorcycle today" card...sheesh. Right off of Highway 20, easy to get to. There are 4 booths, and several tables to plant yourself and enjoy your sandwich pickins. Decor full of surf boards and the total beach boys type of look inside. Bright and colorful, the music was bumpin pretty loud... I was surprised at the prices, a little higher than what I would normally pay for a sandwich, but once I saw how big it was...I was ok. The Surfin Bird was my choice. Stuffed with Turkey, slices of avocado, strips of bacon, and my favorite in sandwiches...cream cheese. I thought I had the expertise to eat a big sandwich, but this one kicked my buttocks. According to my husband's coworkers, this is the only sandwich shop in Yuba that serves beer. Good enough reason for me to try it.. Stopped here to grab hubby some lunch and immediately dug the atmosphere. It reminds me of something I'd see by the beach in SoCal. At the advice of my friends, got hubby the "surfing bird" (turkey, bacon, avocado, cream cheese, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, no tomato, onion or peppers), and myself the californian (vegetarian, sprouts, white cheese, and aforementioned veggies). Small sandwiches were 7-8 bucks each, plus a drink (not a beer), came out to about 18 bucks. The small, isn't. It was a two-meal sandwich for me. Verdict: delicious as expected. Worth the price on occasion. Husband complained that there was too much turkey and not enough avocado. I had no complaints with mine. I'd like to go back and try more of their stuff, and hang out and have a beer. It's very cute and beachy inside. read more

Just finished lunch. (They are also HIRING) Pros: Great deli sandwiches. We ordered: Pig Kauna (BBQ pulled pork) Santa Barbara (chicken & avocado) Righteous Reuben. (Just the sandwiches- no combo chips) All were delicious. Great music (who knew?) CONS: Pricey IMHO. 3 sandwiches + 1 beer + 2 sodas = $46. No rye bread for the Reuben. Overall good. read more

Love it here, but if I was eating on the beer temperature I'd give them a 3. I go to all different locations and this one doesn't keep their beer cold enough. I was disappointed because all other Beach Hut's that I go to the beer comes out ice cold. I order a liter of Alohahawk and I drink it fast enough so that's not the problem. I've always heard great things about Beach Hut Deli and I'm surprised it took me this long to give it a try. It's definitely a great sandwich place. I tried the regular Surfin Bird without tomato and onion (because gross) and it was really good. Next time I would get it without cream cheese though; for me it just didn't add anything to the flavor of the sandwich. The sandwich was really big and filling. Price was good. Service was fast. Only complaint is that the restaurant was really messy. There were several empty tables but they were all really dirty. Decor is really cute though! read more

I've ordered the Wakie Bakie a hand full of times now and you guys never have sausage. I just door dashed and chose the bacon and sausage option and paid an extra 2$ for it. I received my sandwich and it didn't have any sausage. You guys should just get rid of that option at this point. read more

I stopped in because I was working nearby. I really like their Righteous Rueben sandwich and have had it many times. One day I might try other items on their menu, which seems quite large. They are a bit on the expensive side. I paid nearly $11 for my sandwich. They serve Coke products with 8 different selections. They also serve Gold Peak iced tea but it isn't fresh brewed. I strongly encourage them to serve fresh brewed iced tea which is much better than the stuff they currently serve. The restaurant was clean and the employees friendly. I would return. read more

7/25 3pm stopped by to try this place out. I have never been to a beach hut deli prior. The menu is large, took me 10 mins to read through it, and they also have specials posted on the counter. Place was clean, busy, and the employees were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered a beach club grilled chicken sandwich with modifications and it was no hassle at all. The regular sandwich is about 6 inches, but the ingredients are quality. The atmosphere was air conditioned and felt like you were transported away from the hellish temperature that has engulfed yuba city. I'm a fan, and will continue to visit them on occasion. read more

Beach Hut has become an almost weekly stop for me. You'll never leave hungry. Order less then you think you're hungry for. These sandwiches are huge and amazing. They have a better beer selection then even some bars. Cute fun staff. They have had open mics in the past. read more

I was highly involved with Palestine solidarity movement during college and felt very disconnected upon coming back to Yuba but this place rlly helped merge the gaps for me. It's truly showcasing the beauty of Palestinian hospitality while also bringing the local community together. From submitting my grad school apps to getting accepted to finding out I will be getting fully funded -- everything happened right here!! Shoutout Palestine for bringing us such kindhearted people, may we see a free Palestine within our lifetimes :)
