I enjoyed this place. One interesting thing I learned about this place before coming is that they serve sandwiches with cream cheese. I've never seen that anywhere else, but why? Sounds good to me! I did't end up ordering a sandwich with cream cheese though. I go the Ultimate Reuben which took a twist on the classic and served it drenched in Italian dressing. I did take a few bites of my wife's sandwich with cream cheese and it's definitely different, but very good! As for the place, its got a fun beachy theme, similar to Islands if it were a a small sandwich shop. Workers were nice. They have good beers on tap, though I didn't order one. What happened to a once proud and often best sandwhich shop? Think the lesson here is dont go to many food places on Sunday. Typically the good employees are off, you get the bench crew. For the prices the charge, beach hut is a once in a while indulgence. But my recent visit produced a bland, flavorless sandwhich. It was so disappointing im considering not going back. Again, if youre charging me that ammount, at least make sure the sandwhich is fresh, tasty, and overall worth the price. Sadly Beach hut failed, and probably lost a customer. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received during my visit to Beach Hut Deli on July 24, 2026 I arrived at approximately 7:45 PM fully aware that the restaurant closed at 8:00 PM I entered during posted business hours and expected to be treated like any other paying customer After placing my order I was asked whether it was for here or to go As soon as I answered I was immediately told that the restaurant closed at 8:00 PM I already knew the posted closing time and did not need to be reminded The way it was communicated made me feel like my business was an inconvenience despite arriving before closing and ordering within normal operating hours What made the experience even more frustrating was seeing a group of people remain inside the restaurant talking loudly throughout my visit while additional customers continued entering near closing time If customers were still being allowed inside and others were free to remain in the restaurant then I fail to understand why I was made to feel rushed or unwelcome Customer service should never leave a paying customer feeling like they are a burden Simply because a business is approaching closing time does not mean professionalism and courtesy should disappear Every customer who walks through the door during posted business hours deserves to be treated with the same respect and level of service I left this visit genuinely dissatisfied The issue was not the food but the service and the way I was treated It was an experience that fell well below the level of professionalism I expect from any restaurant and it has made me question whether I would choose to return in the future read more

Love me some Beach Hut. I always get the North Shore with avocado and it comes to me as a masterpiece of sandwich art. It tastes just as good as it looks with plenty of meat veggies and flavor. The bread is great too as it is soft yet compliments every bite of the sandwich. Not the kind of bread you leave because the ratio of sandwich to bread is perfect. A couple mins later, the girl brings out the beer for other seated customers, so I step back out of her way. 7/25 3pm stopped by to try this place out. I have never been to a beach hut deli prior. The menu is large, took me 10 mins to read through it, and they also have specials posted on the counter. Place was clean, busy, and the employees were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered a beach club grilled chicken sandwich with modifications and it was no hassle at all. The regular sandwich is about 6 inches, but the ingredients are quality. The atmosphere was air conditioned and felt like you were transported away from the hellish temperature that has engulfed yuba city. I'm a fan, and will continue to visit them on occasion. read more

Okay - this just happened tonight (12 July 2020). Went to the local store here in Yuba City. Their Sunday closing time is 7:00pm, posted on the website. I arrived at the store around 6:45, only to be met at the door by a worker who told me they closed at 6:30. Huh? Excuse me? The sign at the door also said closing time is 7:00pm, which I pointed out. She then said her boss told them to close early, "due to Covid." Convenient excuse, but okay. My issue is, if you're gonna change your operating hours, that info should be posted. Decor full of surf boards and the total beach boys type of look inside. Bright and colorful, the music was bumpin pretty loud... I was surprised at the prices, a little higher than what I would normally pay for a sandwich, but once I saw how big it was...I was ok. The Surfin Bird was my choice. According to my husband's coworkers, this is the only sandwich shop in Yuba that serves beer. Good enough reason for me to try it.. Stopped here to grab hubby some lunch and immediately dug the atmosphere. It reminds me of something I'd see by the beach in SoCal. At the advice of my friends, got hubby the "surfing bird" (turkey, bacon, avocado, cream cheese, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, no tomato, onion or peppers), and myself the californian (vegetarian, sprouts, white cheese, and aforementioned veggies). Small sandwiches were 7-8 bucks each, plus a drink (not a beer), came out to about 18 bucks. The small, isn't. It was a two-meal sandwich for me. Verdict: delicious as expected. Worth the price on occasion. Husband complained that there was too much turkey and not enough avocado. I had no complaints with mine. I've always heard great things about Beach Hut Deli and I'm surprised it took me this long to give it a try. It's definitely a great sandwich place. I tried the regular Surfin Bird without tomato and onion (because gross) and it was really good. Next time I would get it without cream cheese though; for me it just didn't add anything to the flavor of the sandwich. The sandwich was really big and filling. Price was good. Service was fast. Only complaint is that the restaurant was really messy. There were several empty tables but they were all really dirty. Decor is really cute though! read more

I stopped in because I was working nearby. I really like their Righteous Rueben sandwich and have had it many times. One day I might try other items on their menu, which seems quite large. They are a bit on the expensive side. I paid nearly $11 for my sandwich. They serve Coke products with 8 different selections. They also serve Gold Peak iced tea but it isn't fresh brewed.
