Kokomos Bar & Grille was amazing, and the bartender is the reason why! I was in town for a conference and, after day one, I just wanted to relax and catch up with a friend. The outdoor bar was the perfect spot to unwind. They also serve food, but I only came for the cocktails. I ordered a lemon drop with Chambord, and let me tell you--the bartender absolutely nailed it! The drink was delicious, and his customer service was even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone at the bar was taken care of, even when it got busy. The atmosphere was great, too. The cool breeze made it comfortable despite the summer evening heat, creating the perfect setting to sit back and enjoy a drink. I give the bartender a 20 out of 10! If you're looking for great cocktails, excellent service, and a relaxing outdoor vibe, Kokomos Bar & Grille is definitely worth a visit. read more

This is a great bayside bar & grille located in the Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort on Sand Key. Sunrise can be seen here but sunset must be viewed from across the street. Their menu had some decent options and they were willing to work with us to provide lower carb options. Three stand out servers to mention: Cass & Jason and Kimi. These three were rockstars and made our stay so good! They earned the triple digit tips and were much appreciated! Conversely, and the reason I dropped a star, was Omar. He was a terrible server that was more interested in picking up on the young ladies around the pool than doing his job as a server. If you find yourself in his section consider moving or just go to the bar and get your own food and drinks. He is the sorriest excuse for a server on the planet. He completely ignored my wife and I. We had to come to him to order, not the other way around. At first the bar told us we had to order from him, but I pressed the issue and Brandon let me open a new tab with them. Less convenient, but way better service than Omar. A stand out moment was on Thursday, when they ran out of Deep Eddy Lemon. Cass ensured there was a new bottle the following morning. Likewise on Saturday, they ran out of Deep Eddy Lemon once again. Jason asked if there was any other vodka that would work. I said something to the effect of "no thanks.... I'll just pass." I think he moved mountains to locate another bottle on premises keeping the vacation and vibes flowing. Much appreciation Cass & Jason! This is the bar at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort. I don't normally drink frozen drinks, but the frozen margarita is a most. I also had the spicy marg which was perfect ( I upgraded since I don't drink Cuervo). I also highly recommend the fries, sweet potato fries and wings. read more

This is the pool bar of the Clearwater Beach Marriott at Sand Key. Daughter Unit wants a nibble and a drink so here we are. Menu not Totally Outrageous for a joint like this, so once DU FINALLY decided to join us, we sat and listened to the alt rock music and the Queen Bee's squeaky azz bar chair in no particular order. There weren't a whole lotta folks sitting here, which is PERFECT for QB and me; we both HATE "peopley" places and things...I noted the menu is very basic bar grub with a lot of overpriced tropical drinks on the reverse side. Zoey was the barkeep; she paid half attention to us but she did answer DU's queries and offered some recommendations. However then the wheels began to fall off. Queen Bee ordered cocktail shrimp app and got coconut shrimp instead. They corrected it and she got 5 shrimps beneath a pile of tostones. They also left the misbegotten coconut shrimp. DU ate a couple of 'em and left the rest...meh! I ordered a cheeseburger. Zoey asked how I wanted it done...medium. It came out a perfect medium well to well done. Once Zoey finally came back..so did the burger. "Do you want anything else?" I want a properly cooked burger. Get rid of this thing...so away it went. So around 15 minutes later Burger 2.0 showed up. It was cooked the way I asked for it...accompanied by an incinerated pile of Sysco Truck fake azz battered fries...BLECH!!!! I squished 'em in a napkin and left 'em in the plastic tray. They belong in the village dump.... Meantime at least Queen Bee finished the proper shrimp. DU had grouper tacos and said they were good "outside of the tacos."' So we are 0 for 3 at THIS dump...I can only say that Zoey tried to make it up to us as best she could...ONLY reason I give more than one star. Much like the hotel in which this place operates...meh! At least the draft beer wasn't beyond help...At least , as well, so to speak...Zoey took one for the team and removes shrimp and burger from the overinflated bill...I STILL owed these people almost $80!!! Enjoyable drinks and food for guests at the Marriott hotel! I love that it can be poolside and allows for flexibility in seating, like at the bar, high tops, or by the pool as well I think! The drinks I liked were the shark bite and the mango daiquiri! Very tasty and lighter alcohol taste. We had some miscommunication and delayed drinks and they were so nice and comped us for them! I cannot remember our server/bartender's name but he was outstanding!!! I'd love to shout him out - Ughhh. He recommended a Sand Key lemonade. It was a little sweet but he recommended extra lemon and PERFECT! I'd order again with extra lemon. My husband and I have been there before and ordered a burger. Not bad! It was pretty darn good. This time it was a quick lunch after not eating all day and meeting clients/friends for dinner. The Cobb salad with mango vinaigrette was the perfect suggestion. We'll be back and I'll get your name! Very convenient and friendly. The bartender was extremely friendly and kept my drink filled. The grouper sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The bun was tough to eat because it basically just fell apart. Not sure why that would be but it made it difficult. The fries were great and crispy just like I love. Stan was super friendly at the bar! It is Thanksgiving and Stan is working, and he is as chipper as anyone who would be working a regular shift, but to be this chipper on Thanksgiving feels really unusual. We kept changing tables, and changing chairs because of where the sun was but it didn't even faze Stan. He was happy to clear a new spot for us each time. This is a beautiful place to sit and look out at the water with the sun glistening. We are here while waiting for our reservation at the Watercolour Grillhouse (we are not staying at the Marriott), but I would come here just for a place to chill in a relaxing environment, with a good beverage, looking out at the water. read more

First time here and I was starving and decided to give it a try. I thought that you can never go wrong with a hamburger or cheese burger so me and my husband order one that comes with cheese, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. We order them medium cooked. When the food came, the hamburger was not medium, it had chunks of onions (looks like they put the sides of the onions), the lettuce was iceberg BUT they didn't cut the white part ( root) so it looked like a chunk and it didn't tasted good AT ALL meaning ZERO PRESENTATION. My husband even said that it tasted like the hamburgers that are sold in BJs. I think I have had better hamburgers at Wendy's. We paid $15 for a terrible hamburger. NO RECOMMENDED! read more

Went here twice on our most respect stay. Had great burgers (your way, whatever you want in them) a French dip, fries and plenty of rum punch! It was all great and quick. You can sit inside or out, your choice. Not a fancy place but good! Definitely worth the stop if you're looking for somewhere other than a seafood restaurant. The food is great and the employees are friendly enough, but they're inattentive. This may be the result of staffing issues, but my experience was that it took far too long to get one of the servers to revisit us to handle additional requests or replenish a drink. I expect a lot more considering the resort prices being paid. If you plan on eating or drinking here, sit at, or very near to the bar. You will enjoy the food and drink. Otherwise the lack of customer engagement and attentiveness by the roaming servers will frustrate you. read more

I've taken my parents here at least a dozen times. Every time they visit from out of town. The fish is great, the burgers are great and the people at the bar make you feel you are part of the family. Constant water fill ups and sometimes we get gratuity item thrown in. Conveniently located by the Marriott which is where my parents like to stay. Keep it up Kokomos! read more

We are staying at the Marriott and have had food from this place by the pool two days in a row. Both times did not disappoint. I had the grouper tacos be they were delicious. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and said that was also really good. I will be ordering again tomorrow! read more
