Perfect for a quick refreshing sweet treat! We came here after seeing the line at Ululani and don't regret it. I like that there was customization options, and honestly if it were up to me I would've gotten an entirely different shaved ice LOL but you can't please everyone, so this was still yummy overall We also had their dole whip soft serve on the side, reminded me of the Disneyland one! But their vanilla is definitely the better option as it helps balance the sweet/tartness of the shaved ice

**AMAZING** Last night in town and our waiter at Monkeypod suggested we come here after hearing of our plans to visit another shave ice. We had the other shave ice place, rated so highly on Yelp, on our list of places we must try but our waiter really convinced us this place is superior. We didn't have the traditional Hawaiian shave ice but opted for their Bao Bing shave ice version. We live in SoCal, the Mecca of Asian food and desserts and this place was by far THE BEST shave ice dessert our family has ever had!! We tried the shareable ube, added 3 toppings, and also the homemade mochi. Too bad we discovered this place the last night of our stay on the island. We will be back for sure and will tell others this place is a definite must when in Maui! By far 5 stars worthy on quality, taste, and great friendly service!

The popping boba added a fun burst in every bite and made the whole thing feel a little elevated. Simple, fresh, and done right. Definitely a go-to dessert spot when you're in the area. 5/5
This place was so good. This was my first time having Hapa and I will definitely be having it again. I got it with vanilla soft serve, pineapple and coconut flavors, and pineapple and lilikoi jam toppings and it was so good. The portions are so big but so good I ate the whole thing. It was made relatively fast, especially for how busy they were. They have lots of seating around which is good. The food truck park is beautiful and I cannot wait to try more places!

The fun part is building your own custom dessert -- pick a size, choose your condensed milk flavor (like regular or ube), and load up on toppings. The toppings rotate daily and my personal favorites are strawberries, rice balls, boba, and egg pudding. Fresh fruit is always a must! It's creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced -- definitely my favorite shave ice spot on island. I've brought friends and family here, and everyone's has loved their first bite. I usually order the shareable size with ube or regular condensed milk, and it never disappoints -- although the serving size sometimes varies depending on who's working. It's in this busy food truck area with tons going on -- random souvenir stands, different food options, a cute tortoise wandering around, gardens, just a really lively, touristy-but-charming kind of vibe. My partner actually found this place because we love Taiwanese shaved ice spots like Meet Fresh and Sul Bing on the mainland, and we wanted to see what Maui's version was like. We were absolutely not disappointed. Their take has a really tropical twist. We got an ube base and a strawberry one, and both flavors were super intense in a good way -- rich, creamy, and refreshing. The mochi was soft and chewy, and they sprinkled on this Chinese red candy powder that added a nice nostalgic sweetness. I also loved the edible flower garnish; it wasn't just pretty, it actually added a little texture and made the whole bowl feel special. Only downsides: the wild chickens around the food truck area are bold and will one hundred percent stalk you for your dessert, and the prices are on the higher side. But it's Maui, everything is pricey, and for me the quality and experience made it worth it. Overall, it ended up being one of my favorite dessert stops on the island.

She then told me I should've mashed it all up in order to get the flavor to the middle. I know y'all have got to be kidding me. We were wasting ice everywhere just to stir it up. Also, had to wait a while to eat it and it was melting just to mix it together. Soooo many other tables got their orders and were confused as to why its white in the middle. I hope they posted reviews also. I went around and explained what she told me and they felt it was pretty dumb and cheap for the company to do this to customers. We pay way too much in Maui for cheap outs with restaurants. Try adding a little ice then flavor then stack again with a little ice then flavor, so that customers can get what they pay for.

Located inside the South Maui garden. They are my second favorite after Ululani Shaved ice in Maui. Ordered the plain shaved ice with ube condensed milk, and mochi toppings and azuki. We also tried "ocean" that has a base of vanilla soft serve, blue raspberry and coconut flavor. Topping of popping boba. Both are good, they are just way too sweet I think because of the condensed milk. I suggest to asked them if they can go easy on condensed milk, because we didn't. And it's almost sugar coma. Plenty of tables and chairs.
Da Sweet spot was our third shave ice this trip. They have the finest shave and softest mochi so far. We had the passion hapa, which was awesome. The lilikoi jam will crush any sweet tooth. It was very sweet, too sweet for me. I'm excited to try some real fruit options next time. The Maui South Garden that Da Sweet Spot is in is a very nice walkthrough with plenty of food and dessert options.

SO GOOD!! We stopped at Da Sweet Spot while in Maui and everything was fresh and so yummy. I got the "vegan lava flow" which was strawberry and coconut shaved ice on top of pineapple dole soft serve with fresh mochi, strawberries and little popping bobas. I also modified it to have matcha condensed milk instead of the regular. The girl who took my order was also incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The little garden area is super cute too and made a cute spot to sit and enjoy everything. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area! read more

Came to this food truck on a whim & every other shaved ice place closed super early! Honestly one of the best decisions because the Sunset Hapa was SO good! I love how it's not just shaved ice but more akin to frozen milk that's shaved, so when it melts it's a lot like ice cream. We ordered the larger size to share between two people, but honestly you could share it with 3 or 4 people because it's pretty big (still absolutely demolished it though!) Although it is extremely sweet (as the name would suggest), it is extremely refreshing! Genuinely 100% recommend & wish we returned to get this again during our trip. read more

Highly recommended! It's located in the food truck court. This was a pretty good shaved ice place. It was pretty heavy after eating dinner so I recommend sharing. Da Sweet Spot is the kind of dessert stop you dream about after a beach day in Kihei--cool, creamy, and totally customizable. We built our own Shareable HAPA with vanilla soft serve, pineapple and strawberry flavor swirls, and dragonfruit + blueberry toppings. It comes with mochi and a generous drizzle of condensed milk, which really pulls everything together in that Hawaiian dessert magic kind of way. The portion was big enough to share, though let's be honest--I easily could've taken it down myself. The fruit was fresh, the soft serve was smooth and flavorful, and every bite hit that refreshing-sweet-craving spot. Bonus points: Da Sweet Spot is located inside a food truck park, which makes it the perfect dessert option if you're with a group that can't agree on dinner. da sweet spot looked very interesting, but it was just okay! my friends and i decided to get a sweet treat while at south maui gardens, so we decided on da sweet spot. we saw that they could modify it to make it vegan and we got the vegan lava flow! syrup wasn't as plentiful and as we started eating it, it got very messy. very sweet! staff was friendly and patient, dessert came out quickly. read more

Truly love this place - the location, the ambiance and the BàoBīng is a must-try! My husband and I shared one order, which had likikoi jelly, strawberry and mochi, and one was definitely enough for two. The vanilla soft serve under all the shaved ice was such a pleasant surprise, and a great contrast in texture. I highly recommend Da Sweet Spot if you're looking for a cold treat, and a nice place to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. Upon entering the oasis, make sure to turn right after the restroom area - their truck is a bit hidden away towards the side so make sure to look for their signs. read more

Wow! A perfect dessert after the beach. A fusion of Asian shaved iced and Hawaiian shaved ice that hits the spot. We had the vegan lava flow and the sunset with dole whip as the base for both. The boba, fruit, sweetened condensed milk, shaved ice, dole whip and mochi were all so delicious! It's hard to describe how wonderful the whole experience was, I was so happy to have found this place and it was just what I was looking for, an elevated shaved ice experience! Hidden spot located in South Maui Garden filled with many food trucks and entertainment. This was originally BaoBing Chinese Shave Ice and have expanded to Da Sweet Spot back last year. Service was amazing and food came out delightful! There are so many choices like baobing, hapa, and dole soft serve. Great variety of toppings and flavors. We ended up choosing the create-our-own bae-bing. You'll choose a size, type of condensed milk (regular with just condensed milk or other flavor at an additional charge) , and toppings (up to 4). There are mochi sprinkled on top and edible flowers with it. Good texture of shaved ice and I asked for extra condense milk too! We enjoyed it very much. read more

This is located inside the South Maui Gardens right behind the blue Aloha Prime Eatery truck. It's a little hard to find but I was able to find it through previous pictures posed on here. There wasn't anyone in line so I didn't have to wait long for my order. There are also bench seats next to the small building that this is located in. I ordered the Keiki with Ube condensed milk, mochi, mango and li hing mui powder. It was good. The ice isn't as soft as I would have liked. And what I didn't like was that the ube condensed milk didn't go into the center of the ice so a lot of it have no flavor. I wished that the ube milk could have been mixed in better or any other flavoring could have. read more
