We had a great experience with Ashley from Beach Town Pops. We used their services for my daughter's Birthday party. On the day of the event she was on time, with a big smile and ready to start the ice cream party. We went with the "Chef's Picks" flavors and we were not disappointed! Mango Guava and pineapple coconut pops and chocolate ice cream! She was very gracious to consider child-friendly flavors even though we had chosen the Chef's Pick package. And, they were all delicious!!! Everyone loved the popsicles and the ice cream. She was there for an hour and once her time was up, she left all the ice cream for us and we served the few that were late to the party. False Advertisement and Terrible Customer Service!!! I contacted Beach Town Pops for a corporate event we were doing at our office in hopes to have some fun and healthy sweet treats! After emailing back and forth and connecting on the phone, we agreed on the price and the style we wanted them. I was told that they were the "Chef's selection and would be dropped off in a cooler". In the original invoice, I was charged $60 for a delivery fee and then in an updated invoice, I was charged $75 instead because of our location. I had put the same address on the original invoice and there was no explanation as to why we were being charged more when asked. The pops I received were basically some frozen juice in a plastic wrapper for over 300 DOLLARS. On the website, there is only one description of the "sleeve pops" and they look nothing like what we received. I also ordered a "cooler" to place the pops in and was given a dirty 2 dollar freezer bag that smelled like booze and looked liked it had already been used. After receiving the pops, I called Amanda (the owner) and asked what happened and she said "that is what I had ordered". I asked her to take a look at what we had been given, and she said she would contact me in two hours to discuss further. I have called and left 3 separate messages, and I have not heard anything back. THIS "BUSINESS" IS A SCAM AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Do not use them for their "Popsicle services". read more

This was our first time having gourmet popsicles at an event. We reached out to Beach Town about our daughters 5th birthday party. We received an almost immediate response. It says SO much about a vendor when they take the time to respond to you in a timely manner. Ashley made the process easy and seamless. We went with the Chef's selection of non-boozy and boozy pops, and man, are we SO glad that we did. These flavors were NOT your typical strawberry, grape, lime. No, when Beach Town says gourmet, they mean gourmet. How about Mango Lime Chilli or Avocado Coconut with Chocolate Drizzle and Pistachio?! Those were just 2 of the flavors we received. And were they a hit?! They were so much of a hit that we didn't even get to set them up and take photos!! Guests were coming back for seconds and thirds. Everyone was RAVING about these popsicles! Literally no one cared about the birthday cake, cupcakes, or cake pops on hand. Those were all second fiddle to these popsicles. Something we appreciated was that every pop was individually wrapped. Each pop looked CLEARLY gourmet and high end. AND Ashley threw in more pops in our order just because! Who even does that nowadays?! I was so shocked!! Listen, Beach Town is the way to go. Updated 7/29/21: I am updating my review to address Ashley's response. I admit my initial review is snarky but it is not inaccurate or "defamatory" because I did not misrepresent our experience. I think her response speaks volumes of her attitude towards customers, as it is not a true apology but an attempt to justify their delusional views. Watch her YouTube video that she posted and read into the tone of her responses - the customer is not treated with respect and the arrogance is truly baffling. We chose Option #2 and there wasn't a brainstorm session. We were sent a list of flavors to select and there was no collaboration. We selected three flavors from the list and didn't make the lofty demands that Ashley is insinuating. (Exotic flowers from Norway? Major eye roll!) On the day that we were sent the contract and asked for payment, they switched the flavors on us. Before submitting our payment information my sister asked why they made the switch and we received such an annoyed response and made to feel as though we were inconveniencing them. This was a day before the event by the way, when backup options/vendors are nearly impossible and I suspect they know this. We decided not to proceed with this business based on our awful customer experience. Quite frankly, I didn't trust that we would get the product we agreed upon and also didn't want to meet the person behind these underwhelming interactions. I find it interesting Ashley nitpicks the fact that I said I "cancelled" instead of addressing the fact that they treated us poorly and put us in a stressful situation right before our event. I had a direct experience with this business. I was in-town and staying at my sister's place. I was involved in literally every conversation or exchange and also want to note that when communicating with multiple parties through email it is easier to respond from one email address (my sister's email) than to involve multiple email addresses. I get that owning a small business is hard work. Mistakes and mishaps are bound to happen. I never judge based on a mistake but on the response afterwards. I also feel very strongly that I must empower women-owned businesses and it pains me to have to be so negative about Beach Town Pops. However, I have never seen such business practices before where the customer is made to feel like they are inconveniencing the proprietor for wanting to purchase their product. I had direct communication with the owner of Beach Town Pops for my baby shower. She was cold, unresponsive and this whole "we collaborate" is a lie. She tells you what she wants to make and if you don't like it to bad. I have text proof of us deciding on 3 flavors peach basil, strawberry rose and yogurt berry swirl. When she sent over the contact to sign and get payment she changed the flavors with our asking me and took out the yogurt berry and changed it to jasmine pear. Why?! I even gave her the opportunity to explain it since I was the one paying for custom flavors we just decided and agreed-upon. Her communication was also just poor to say the least, I would have to send follow up emails and texts to finally get a response. Avoid there are way to may good small businesses who actually appreciate their customers out there.
