We hired Chillbachi for our wedding reception and it was a big hit. A lot of our guests had never had rolled ice cream and it was such a cool enhancement for our venue. The owners worked with us as sadly we had to postpone our wedding twice due to covid. I appreciate the flexibility during this difficult planning time. Nice staff and yummy ice cream. You will not be disappointed.

You know those Hibachi grills that serve excellent Japanese grilled food off those super hot grilled services? Reverse the super hot to super cold and then you have CHILL-Bachi. Chillbachi sponsored one of the yelp elite events and I was very impressed. I don't eat ice cream nearly as much as I use to but when charcoal flavored ice cream with toppings from waffles, Oreos, sliced almonds, coconut flakes, etc... you already know I'm in there. The two people making the ice cream were extremely friendly and smiled a lot which was great. Had a nice conversation with the lady making my charcoal ice cream and she blessed it with her happiness. I devoured it and my tummy was very happy, highly recommend this place

Ice cream flavors. Everything we tried was tasty!

Had some extra fever up credits to use so we thought this might be fun. It was a great experience plus the ice cream tasted great. I got stuffed. It was just us and another couple. The instructor shows you how it's done and then everyone gets a chance to try on the 2 ice grills. Ladies must have your hair pulled back. I have super long hair but nicely enough the owner has some clean hair ties. I honestly found making the ice cream rolls kinda difficult. Maybe it was because I chose a peep as my first mix in and it was hard to get small pieces to smooth out so I had my boyfriend make the creations I wanted. You chop your rolls so everyone can taste it. The staff member also make us a couple rolls to try. My favorite flavor of ice creams were horchata, ube, earl grey, and mango (mix with chamoy!) all in all it was a great experience and since there were only 4 of us it was a true all you can eat experience

I went a few days ago with my friend as an Airbnb experience. It was very enjoyable because Jacob was humorous and softened up everyone, but in the beginning everyone was being a tough crowd. He provides a lot of guidance on how to get started and during your rolling ice cream experience too. I originally thought the price was high, but it was worth it in the end. Considering we got a workout by making the ice cream and we ate endless ice cream too. The rolling ice cream seems easy until you try it. This requires some upper stem strength and if you don't have it now then you'll gain it when you leave haha.

Some of the toppings to choose from. There was also more cereal and fresh fruit

Great experience. The owner was funny and personable. There were a million toppings to choose from and everyone got a chance to make as much as they wanted. We got to sample everyone else's in the group which was fun because I tried flavors I would have never thought to put together.

Easy to book, pleasant to work with, reliable, delicious and a hit with adults and kids alike ranging ages 5-75! The perfect addition to our party. Highly recommend.

What a fun experience. Our hosts were knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. They were encouraging through the whole experience and managed to bring the small groups together as a whole. I recommend!

This is not ice cream place, it's a class in how to make ice cream you need to book online .

Can we just go there and buy ice cream instead of learning how to make them purselves?

Hi, we are currently only offering catering and team building. We can do birthday parties and larger events.

Do you have vegan ice cream? And if so what is used?

How does it work? Does everybody get their own station and work for the full hour and a half?

Hi, we have people taking turns on our double pan ice grill machine. So we have 2 people that go up at the same time and interact with the rest of the group as they are constructing their ice cream rolls. If you would like the place for a private…

The place is super small and no line, but the flavors were plentiful. I forget what they do, but you can get a combo of flavors in a single scoop. Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

But I wanted to leave a review because the girl (I forgot to ask her name, sadly) who helped me today was really lovely! I bought 30g of their matcha and admittedly thought when they didn't give it to me at the counter that they forgot, but I sat down at a table to eat my ice cream and decided to just ask for it after I finished. Thank goodness I did, because the cashier came up to my table about 10 minutes later and handed me a little bag of fresh-ground matcha. She took a second to explain to me how to store it and keep it fresh, and I just really appreciated the extra bit of customer service, even if it's something they're maybe expected to do. When I have the money, I'll definitely come back and get their 100g pack! Highly recommend this place for any matcha lovers, whether you're looking for a drink, a sweet soft serve treat, or matcha for home use.

He said it wasn't too sweet and had lovely bitter, more earthy notes from the hojicha. I am a matcha fan so I just stick with 100% matcha flavor, but both options are solid! The soft serve is such a yummy texture that's perfectly creamy and dusted with matcha powder for an extra kick. It tastes rich and authentic, without any grassy notes typical of cheap matcha. I crave it once a week at least! This place is solid for avid matcha fans and just-starting-out matcha tasters. Great spot!

They have so many locations and only wish they had more. The closest to me is about 20mins away but it's worth the drive every time. I love this location especially. Always such friendly staff and never have to wait in a long line. Basically, if you're a newbie, you go in and ALWAYS as for the "seasonal flavors" for tasting. They give you tasters on silver spoons and you drop it down this hole when you're done. It's literally their culture to give you a taste of everything on their seasonal menu so don't skip out on this experience. It's the best way to try their ice cream. FUN FACT: they also have 1-2 flavors that are considered "last chance" flavors which means they are about to run out so get it before it's gone. Each month I go in to try another tasty flavor and it never disappoints but I am sometimes that girl who tries the new stuff but ends up getting her usual order (chocolate brownie) and am always happy. Just the smell of sugar cone alone when you walk in gets you hooked. The atmosphere is just so welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the many flavors to choose from because there are a lot. I like to get their double scoop in a waffle cone, but they also have awesome split scoop options for those more adventurous and want to try multiple flavors in one scoop. Saves you for when you're keeping your sugar levels down. There are usually always places to sit inside or outside so you can enjoy your goodies right away.
