After trying multiple local practices, I think I've found the practice for us. Front desk staff -- Raquel in particular -- are polite, sharp, and organized. They actually follow up when promised which seems rare these days. Dr. Quan is professional, knows how to communicate what is being done, and why, and he also documented the work with pictures so you can see before and after. I want to thank Stacy & Dr. Hopkins for an amazing dental experience! I hadn't been to the dentist in almost 3 years since I moved to the area (eek!), so I was verrrrry overdue for a cleaning and exam. Stacy, my dental hygienist, was so gentle and thorough with my cleaning and Dr. Hopkins was so kind and encouraging with what I need to do to get back on track. He reviewed and explained everything in the room with me. Also, Dr. Hopkins was very conservative in his recommendations and did not laundry list me with any expensive interventions (something I was nervous about with going to a new dentist). I had a few fillings that I needed replaced and was amazed at how gentle he was throughout the whole procedure. It was absolutely PAINLESS! Dental care here is very good, but I've had lots of trouble with their billing. I have 2 very good insurances, and my care is usually standard (nothing extenuating) but there were always additional fees billed after my insurance paid most of the cost. When I tried to find out why I was being billed those fees, the person representing the billing dept was unclear, they just say that the amount was not covered by my insurance. They would also add late fees while the claim was being processed by insurance (within their timeframe), and continue to send you bills with no details at the same time. They would bill my primary and forget to bill the secondary until I call to inquire after receiving yet another bill, Sometimes there were errors in their claim submission, where they get the doctor's name wrong and your insurance company tells you that the doctor's service is not covered. If you go here, be aware of these extra charges, ask questions and ALWAYS verify with your insurance. Their billing department is 100% inefficient! read more

Today, my daughter and I went in to Beachfront Dentistry for new client visits and cleanings. Although we were in separate rooms, with different technicians, we were both treated with exceptional care and concern. I hate to be the guy to come back and write a review but this guy literally ruined my dental life. Convinced my mom to get veneers when I was around 12 when my teeth were totally fine. Michael Hopkins will act as the nicest guy as long as you are giving him money. I spent around 20,000$ here through me and my family and he wanted me to go spend an 8,000$ more. I had a tooth ache and Googled another place. Traffic and parking sucked so I went to this place. I walked in, the desk was super cool. I was just looking to make an appointment. The desk asked if I wanted to be seen now...I said "heck yeah" and the rest is history. Now I got a gold tooth!...and no tooth ache! I don't like people being in my mouth but Dr. Kwon and Danielle did not make it awkward at all. I would invite them in my mouth anytime. And so should you. I have struggled for years to find a dentist that I could trust and found one in Dr Hopkins at Beachfront Dentistry. I've now been a patient for about 2.5 years and have received top-notch care, especially fixing a bad bridge that I got in Mexico at the urging of well meaning friends. I replaced that with an implant and two crowns and his office coordinated with the surgeon who did excellent work. More importantly, Dr Hopkins is a bit of an artist. Instead of expensive Invisalign, he was able to file a couple of my teeth to adjust the bite and make the canine crown look more like the opposite side and insisted the lab redo the work until it was perfect. The office worked with me in every way and staff and assistants were all top-notch as well. I highly recommend them. read more

I started with this dentist nearly 10 years ago. At first I thought he was "the best". His office is beautiful, his equipment is state of the art, and his staff is very nice. This dentist has a very heavy hand. When he installed a crown on a tooth in my lower jaw, I had lots of pain afterward. He adjusted it about 5 times and sent me to get a root canal. The pain persisted. He said the nerve was "engaged". I had pain for about 6 months. The next replacement of a filling, he also installed a crown on my lower jaw. His crowns are the "all in one day" kind which are not as strong as the other type that requires 2 visits. I watched him set the crown using all his might. He was shaking from effort as he pushed down on my jaw. This crown hurt even worse afterward. But the pain moved in my jaw a little. He said I needed to get a root canal. I didn't because the last one didn't take the pain away. I had pain on this side of my mouth for 2 years. Then, I needed 3 crowns on contiguous teeth on my lower jaw. His professional advice, knowing my history, was to do all three at once. He had me on Nitrous for FIVE HOURS until I asked him to take me off. He used all his force THREE times as he placed 3 crowns. I had those crowns adjusted 6 or 7 times. He fitted me for a grind guard because he said that my pain was from that. I used the guard for 2 days and my pain became worse. I was on Advil every 4 hours for 3 months because I had to leave town for vacations and come back to his office to try something else. He suggest THREE root canals. I resisted. I tried acupuncture, meditation, adjustments, medication- but I wouldn't get more root canals. Finally, I went to a masseuse who found that the muscle, STERNOCLEIDOMASTOID muscle, that connects behind my ear, runs down my neck and connects to my collar bone, was the culprit. It is known for radiating paid out from it and not causing general neck pain, called TRAPEZIUS MYALGIA. It makes you feel like you have an earache, headache, nerve pain in your teeth and jaw that can move, sharp pain where the muscle connects to your collar bone if you do any strenuous exercise. The counter pressure required for lower jaw dental treatments comes from the patient. I saw him shaking with effort AGAIN as he set those 3 crowns. He also shouldn't have done all three contiguous teeth because the integrity of the bite is often lost - as mine has been. I've told all the friends I've referred to Dr. Hopkins to not go to him. One didn't listen and I just got a call from her saying that he hurt her but she still thinks she is having nerve pain from the needle. That's what this syndrome feels like. When i went to fire Dr. Hopkins, he still was NOT willing to listen to my problems and discovery of what happened to me to cause the pain. WHY??? Jaws are part of dentistry. Why would he not consider the possibility of an injury to my jaw that had been open for SEVEN hours for three crowns in one day? He does not take care of his patients if HE makes a mistake or hurts you. If he helps you, great! Once he doesn't help you, maybe even hurts you, he is worthless as a professional and won't investigate his own contributions to the patients problem. Oh, and he will ask you EVERY SINGLE TIME, "Do you want Invisiline? You need it to keep decay away." I've never had braces, and don't need them, but he wants to upsell his patients at every possible opportunity - which mean every single trip to his office. BEWARE!!! read more

I was in town for work and needed to see a dentist quickly due to an upcoming trip. I called first thing in the morning at 7 am and Beachfront was able to fit me in right away. The office staff and Dr Quan were great and very friendly. Following my visit, I felt reassured about my teeth issue not only from the exam itself but also from the excellent treatment by staff.
