Staff was very nice!! But unfortunately my room was less than expected. I was very excited when I booked this hotel through the american express app. It looked very nostalgic and fun!! Upon arriving the front desk staff was very professional and nice!! Getting to my room was a breeze!! Opening the door to the room I was met with a very pungent smell of musty stale mildew. I figured that since this is off season that the smell was due to maybe the room not being occupied frequently. No problem, maybe running the ac will help. I walk into the bathroom and see 5 baby roaches in the shower area. I stayed two nights. I got in very late on the first night so I just overlooked everything and rested. The next day I was busy with meetings and was barely in the room. I come back later in the evening and again had the very pungent odor. And also noticed 4 bigger roaches on the wall and on one of the queen beds. I was so freaked out and hoping that I didnt bring any of the hotels critters home with me. Excellent! Newly remodeled with a retro beach vibe. New bed and a sleeper sofa that was actually comfortable! The room set up is great with separate sleeping areas and a little patio looking at the pool. The pool was the best part. Clean, beautiful lazy river. We spent hours there. Great spot. Amazing pool with the lazy river is super fun! Plenty of food delivery options. The room Decour is mid century modern and super nice. The pool view suites are excellent especially the top floor, second floor that is. They have floats for the lazy river in the pool plus they also have free rentals for bicycle surfboards boogie boards etc. awesome! read more

Do not ever book your beach side vacation at this hotel if you want to be by the beach or even see the beach! We booked our vacation online over a month and a half ago we show up a couple hours after check-in at 4 o'clock and we do not have a room to accommodate our five guest. We were given a street side view I feel like I'm In a motel and there is a rat trap four doors down from mine. The guy at the front desk told us it's our fault for booking it through a third-party booking website. So we are in a room with two beds and there are five of us. So one of my children has to sleep on the floor. Luckily we brought blankets and pillows since we drove all the way from Detroit Michigan to come to this beautiful 8 out of 10 hotel but we're in a motel with rat traps. But luckily the bartender Clarissa is making our days better. It's quite a walk to the beach but they'll let you rent for free a wagon that's rusted and broken to go there!! read more

I've been at Beachside for 4 days now and have 3 more days reserved. The rooms are very "bare bones" with nothing extra special. But the beds are comfortable and showers are great! Due to Covid-19 there is no "in room" service so dirty towels and trash are simply put outside and picked up early each day . New towels have to be requested. The pool area is really nice. If you are bringing children this is the place for you. Huge sand area with lots of toys provided. Poolside bar is good. Decent breakfast with COVID-19 safeguards required. The staff is really friendly & aim to please. So, it's not at all fancy, but is a family friendly hotel. Everyone seemed to be having a blast. Not to mention across the road from the beach with lots of beach toys free to borrow & walking distance to many restaurants & grocery & best of all Bealls!! read more

The main areas of the hotel were well kept. The room looked tidy overall but definitely could have been cleaner. There was a strong musty/mildew odor. We kept the door propped open as much as we could to get fresh air. I believe the smell was coming from the AC until. I did not report it while I was there. Not sure there's much that can be done about the smell other than to check the air conditioning unit. The front desk staff was friendly. This is not a pet friendly hotel as advertised! Beware! Booked online for 2 rooms for 4 days 3 adults and 2 children along with 2 dogs under 10 lbs. I selected this hotel as they advertised pet friendly. Got to the hotel an hour after the check in time of 4:00 pm. Had the dogs with us in the lobby at the time of check in. The woman even commented how cute and sweet the dogs are. The woman handling the front desk was unable to look up our online reservation as their computer system was down she manually found that we had a reservation, but could only manually checked us in, however she was able to charged my credit card for the 4 days and gave us our room keys, parking pass, and etc., The understanding was that when there computers were back up an running we would get a complete receipt. After returning from dinner the security guard began banging on our door, we opened the door and told us we had to leave because we didn't pay additional fees and tell them we had two dogs! Tried to explain that we didnt hide these dogs snd the online reservation submitted had 2 dogs included. I was charged fees calculated by the hotel and if they failed to include the pets I would pay the additional pet fee when I could get a receipt for what I had already paid for. The woman that checked us in was no longer there at the time this occurred which was 21/2 to 3 hrs later . We had to leave and find other accommodations with two very tired children our little dogs their grandmother. This hotel is a rip off their pet friendly policy doest exist and the security staff employee is extremely rude wit a bad attitude and just an over zealous obnoxious bully, that just wants to throw his weight around and prove he has the power to do so. Went back the next day to speak with management but they didn't even respond or even offer to look up our reservation or provide me with a receipt for what was collected at the time of check in which was over $2,400.00. They made it clear they had no intentions of refund any monies or even providing a receipt for what was paid. they don't even deserve 1 star but a minus -100! This place SUCKS! read more

Great little hotel with very relaxed beach vibe. Breakfast was excellent and staff is very friendly and helpful. The lazy river was a lot of fun and the room and beds were clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be for someone to scrub the bathrooms with a brush and some mold remover before it becomes a bigger problem. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Not sure why this doesn't have better reviews! First off, you cannot beat the location. Walking distance to beach and shops. The beech is across the road of the rear part of the property. Plus they have a pool! It's lazy river style but it's heated and is relaxing. Definitely a family style pool. Restaurant and bar on site, which is nice if you're wanting to stay around the pool all day. Rooms were clean and comfy. Modern and simple. Parking was free and the staff was very nice. We thought we had found a great deal on a hotel room that looked nice and had good reviews. I apparently forgot about the saying you get what you pay for. Although if that was true, I still should have got a nicer room. I really want to know what hotel some of these reviews are for because in my experience we didn't stay at the same place. The room looked run down and seriously needed a deep clean. My wife had to clean the shower just to be able to give our two infants a bath. We had to request a crib 3 times to get it. There was no soap in the room when we checked in and they didn't bring it when we called. I ended up just making a trip to Walmart myself. Then when I called to report being able to smell weed in our room, I was told that it would take a while to look into because the front desk had other things to worry about. I guess the two infants in the room didn't rate, so we left for a while. Later on when I went to check on the situation I was told they couldn't smell anything outside and the clerk just couldn't imagine it was anyone in a room around us. Well can you guess what we woke up to in the morning? Finally, turkey sausage being the only meat option at breakfast is not acceptable. The one nice thing was the lazy river, but it's not enough to get me to ever consider staying there again. read more

We stayed at this hotel for our annual Father's Day trip and we had a blast! The pool and sand courtyard area were so great for the kids. We had some food and drinks at their pool bar and all was great, including the service! Rooms were clean, and we actually got to meet the GM of the hotel also. His name is Ed, super nice guy and wanted to make sure we were happy there and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay any better. I am (somewhat) embarrassed to say how much I love the Lagoon Lounge. It's a classy joint--nestled in the elite and exclusive Comfort Inn on Rt.1 of Cocoa Beach. But, never fear, anyone can learn to blend in. Just grab a cheap beer, preferably a Corona or Miller Lite, and seat yourself at a sticky table, however not before scoring a basket of gourmet, deliciously salted and fake-buttery popcorn. Then, settle in to either compete with other patrons in trivia on your little handheld device or enjoy the tunes and camaraderie of karaoke. Either way you can't go wrong. And, with affordable drinks and most people able to stumble back to their hotel rooms, it's always a raucous good time. You'll find me here every time I'm sunning myself in this sordid little corner of Florida. read more

The hotel was nice nothing special. My real complaint is about the customer service issue with house keeping as well as the front desk. I stayed for 2 nights and when I arrived at home I realized I had left an article of clothing - I called the hotel not even 5 hours after I had left and got told to call back the next day because house keeping was gone for the day. The next day I called and was told I would be called back - they never called back. The day after I called again and was told it was not there (which is a lie because I even know where I left it in the room). House keeping will steal anything you leave behind - even during COVID how funny is that. The customer service here is just not it. read more

Really disappointed with this place now. They remodeled, installed a lazy river and painted the walls. This however does not equate to the 100% increase in price per night. The bar closes early, and they do not clean the rooms. We have to put our trash outside the door along with our dirty towels and then call for replacement towels and bags. Would really like to receive some service for the price we are paying. read more

Where to begin! I typically do not leave reviews but thought this hotel was outrageous priced for what you got. Lazy River was cool but renovations in the hotel ended in the lobby and pool area. Rooms were horrible. My family stayed there for one night and all 3 rooms smelled like mold. Rooms were dirty and bathroom was disgusting. My son spilled water on the floor and when we I clean it up with a paper towel, the paper towel was black with dirt from the floor. We had a suite and the sheets on the pullout were dirty and the pillows smelled like smoke. The balcony was dirty and just nasty all around. Think twice before paying to stay there. Pictures look great on the website but they are NOT what you get. Never again! read more

This was the worst hotel experience i have ever endured. I was horrified by what we found in our hotel room pull out couch (some sort of feces) and a roach that was found in one of my friends sock! I was absolutely appalled, so as most normal people would do, i proceeded to go down to the front desk and ask for a new room that wasn't covered in critters. I was then treated with complete disrespect and was not prioritized buy one of the employees that was operating the front desk. Another thing to add was the elevator that reeked of throw up the last day we spent there. I will NEVER come to this establishment again and strongly suggest that you consider different hotels when choosing a place to stay in cocoa. read more

Rooms were dirty (floors had dirt and bathtub had hair inside). At the pool there were never any pool towels available... doesn't matter what time you would go. There was no housecleaning service with Coronavirus as their excuse.... So, that probably explains why rooms were filthy when we got there. And to top everything off there was a lovely Alarm test going on for 2 hours... Do I recommend? I'd say NO. read more

Checked in here with a group. All members of our group complained about rooms being unclean. There was leftover food in microwave, orange fingerprints outside of microwave, dirt on laminate wood flooring, toilet wasn't even scrubbed, counters were not cleaned, rooms smell of mold and urine, and outside furniture was disgusting as well. At a time when COVID-19 is such a scary factor, one would think cleanliness is at the forefront for a resort/hotel. My husband and children were upset, but did not want to leave because this was were our group was staying. In spite of rooms being filthy, front desk staff member (Willie) was beyond apologetic and accommodating. He was pleasant and tried to create a solution. Attached to the Comfort Inn & Suites, makes it decent for those staying in the hotel (which we were), But oddly enough, their crowd there consists of town regulars escaping the tourist bars. No more than a dozen people in the place at any given time, and the prices were fairly decent. Location of the hotel was great, very short walk to the beach and close to restaurants. Decor was cute but the lighting in the room was dim. Simple breakfast was included and safety protocols when entering breakfast area were in place but that was about it. No other mask enforcement, no hand sanitizer provided anywhere for guests in common areas, didn't see any of the staff doing any cleaning or sanitizing of common areas, staff serving food and drinks at the Duck Dive pool bar were not wearing their masks properly, no mask enforcement in any common areas except when serving yourself breakfast. The pool was a lazy river style which would have been relaxing but was very crowded. The hotels website states its fully renovated but they definitely took shortcuts. The exterior in a lot of places looks rundown, lighting in the room was dim, the bathroom was tiny and didn't look like it had been redone at all. The grout around the shower was black and gross and the floor was constantly moist like it was humid. The mini fridge was broken and would not cool, there was condensation in the inside. The sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain properly. From what I've seen in pictures and read the rooms in the "tower" and the ones labeled "suites" are nicer and actually do look fully renovated. I've read a lot of reviews here with people talking about the same issues for months and hotel claims they're addressing concerns and sharing with management but nothing seems to be getting done to fix it. It's a shame because this little hotel has the potential to be really great if the staff and management did the right thing. read more

I'm sort of scared to leave a review because of the hippys that's going to mess it up but it's legit. Hippys stay away.

So I was having a good time here and everything seemed fine. There were a ton of locals which I was totally happy about. As the night went on some of the locals were more aggressive. One was at the bar and out of no where tried to pick a fight with my husband who was not even talking, facing, looking at him. The bar tender was there and was no help and if anything she made it worse. We felt as if we were getting picked on. We left the bar and I immediately called to complain about the particuclar local that was trying to start a fight with me (a woman) and my husband who was in no way doing anything but watching sports on the TV. The person who answered the phone told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to talk to the bar tender. I explained to them that is half the reason there was a problem and the reply was that there was nothing more to be done. It was an ok place to hang until it got a little late (past 10.00) and then there seemed to be locals against the new kids mentality, and the staff was more than happy to watch. I would not recommend going here unless you are looking to an outcast or feel attacked. I thought by reporting the problem it would help but it seems to be a very normal occurrence. They did not care and basically hung up on me. I have been through my share of dive bars. This was thin ice would not tell anyone I cared about to go here in fear of what would happen or what they would allow to 'let slide". read more

Love this place!!! The Lagoon is always a guarenteed good time. Nothing fancy but everyone is welcome. Patrons are always a perfect mix of visitors and locals. And you will love Colleen, Maryann and Chad. Best bartenders anywhere! I am there a few times a year and they always remember me. Its a great atmosphere.
