The room and bathroom greatly needed a coat of fresh paint. It also needed a good cleaning. The carpet on the floor around the beds needs to be removed. The bed mattress's showed visible wear before we got into bed. They were sinking. The lamp was rusted. The condition of our room was just tired. The paint on the balcony floor was peeling and dirty. The pool and grounds are beautiful. That area is well taken care of! The staff was very nice! read more

Run, don't walk from this place. WHO puts in a rusty refridgerator with the doors against the wall (meaning it was next to impossible to use the fridge)? The place was dirty, the carpet gross, the toilet didn't flush, the kitchen faucet was floppy and ready to fall out of its joint to the stem, and the room definitely needed repair and updating. We are not super picky people, but we packed up and left the next morning. For the life of us, we don't understand all the five star reviews. read more

Nice big tv. Extra room for meals? Lovely beach a few steps away. Adult swings under the tall trees. Beautiful Lots of pretty seating areas. Bad: I like that dogs can stay but NOT that they're allowed to be left alone to bark for hours. (And yes we told the office & got this response in return "we'll reach out to them". Ha! The next night - same thing. An hour of barking). Oh and on check-in they failed to mention that there are pastries every morning in the lobby. Beautiful pool - not heated in November. Had a very peasant stay this week. Staff was friendly and efficient. The grounds were very nice. Everything was clean and ready to be used. Pool was in very good condition. I was so surprised at how nice this hotel was. We love that part of the beach. We have stayed at the holiday inn many times and loved the view and the quiet beach but we wanted a more updated room. This 36 room redone motel is truly lovely. The pool is clean and the seating is comfy. Will and Diane were so helpful ( front desk) They had a managers Happy Hour on Friday night with wine, beer and champagne . The maintenance workers were really good and considerate. We had a bathroom sink that kept backing up. They upgraded us to another room. I plan on staying there any time we return to Jekyll! read more

If you're looking for a unique, private, and beautiful place to have your wedding (or just to vacation), look no further! I swear my husband and I explored every beach front resort/hotel on the East Coast. We wanted to find somewhere to host our wedding that felt intimate, had an all-inclusive wedding package, and would be a great family friendly vacation spot for our guests. The Beachview Club Hotel went above and beyond all of those expectations. Let me begin with the hotel itself. This is a boutique hotel, with only 38 guest rooms. The atmosphere is tranquil and remote. We had 40 guests at our wedding, and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves for a week! The hotel is just steps from a gorgeous beach. It has a great pool with plenty of seating surrounding it. The two fire pits were perfect for unwinding with our family and friends at night. They have free coffee in the lobby every morning, but they also provide a Keurig and K-cups in the room for you. There is a restaurant/bar right next door called The Beach House Restaurant, which serves delicious food and drinks (including breakfast). The rooms are extremely clean, and housekeeping came daily to make our bed, give us fresh towels, etc. The pictures do not do this place justice. The staff- I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at the Beachview. I have never experienced the level of hospitality that we were given during our stay here. Every single person working at the hotel was welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. They knew all of our wedding guests by name. We actually spent a lot of time just hanging out in the lobby with Will and Diane, because we enjoyed talking with them so much. They truly treated our guests like family. All of our wedding guests just raved about how kind the staff were and agreed that they had never had such great service at a hotel. BRIDES/GROOMS- We had our wedding at the Beachview Club Hotel in June of 2023. We agreed (as did our guests) that we could not have chosen a more perfect place to tie the knot! The Beachview has multiple wedding packages to accommodate any wedding size (from elopements all the way up to large parties). We wanted to have a destination wedding, but we wanted somewhere that still felt private and did not have a lot of strangers in the background of our photos. We also wanted to be at the beach but didn't want to have the reception on the sand. This venue checked every box. We got married under the beautiful live oak trees with the ocean in the background. Our reception was on the lawn under the trees, and we ended the night by running right into the ocean with our guests! They also do have a ballroom that can be used as an indoor reception option. The wedding planner (Emily) and the general manager (Mel) took care of literally EVERYTHING for us. I was probably the calmest bride ever thanks to them, especially on the day of the wedding. All I had to do was get pretty and show up, and they handled the rest. If you're dreading the stress of planning a wedding, then leave it to Emily and Mel. I promise you'll be in good hands! I had so many questions, and they took the time to answer all 5,000 of them (and they were SO patient while doing so). They thought of every small detail. When we arrived, we had champagne, snacks, and a handwritten card waiting in our room for us. The night of our wedding, we returned to rose petals on the bed, a bottle of champagne on ice, and chocolate covered strawberries. The catered wedding food from The Beach House was so tasty. All of the vendors that they booked were phenomenal. The wedding day looked like a scene out of a movie! I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but I highly suggest that you stay at the Beachview Club Hotel and experience the magic for yourselves! read more

Definitely a smaller resort, but it makes up for it in quality! The rooms are modern, charming and spacious. The oak trees in the rear of the resort is picturesque and adorable, while also providing a bit of shade to the pool area on certain parts of the day. The beach itself is literally a short away from your room, allowing my wife and I to literally just bring what we need and walk back and forth as we pleased while enjoying the beach! The front desk staff has a text contact for you to ask them questions directly and they're so knowledgeable and helpful! The housekeepers are so friendly, professional and efficient as well - they understand that you could very well be spending the day in your unit thanks to the little porch you have overseeing the oak tree backdrop and the beach and will do their best to give you what you need. Definitely a fantastic retreat when experiencing the cozy experience of Jekyll Island. We'll definitely be back! read more

Such an unexpectedly great little hotel. It was super easy to find and had plenty of parking. Check in was easy and Will/William was very friendly and helpful with information and recommendations. The room was average in size but clean and had everything you needed. The location is the absolute best. You are right by the beach and the beach is very nice here. The pool was small but was nice to sit at or take a swim in. The trees and area between the hotel and the beach was very picturesque. I will stay here again next time I come to Jekyll Island. read more

We had our first family vacation in 3 years (kids turned 15 & 18 on the trip), so this vacation was extra special to us. We each worked additional jobs to save for the trip, so no pressure! The Beachview Club and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful, and I'm a stickler for hospitality and cleanliness. Not only did our room not have one speck of sand in it, but the grounds were so lovely. Morning coffee nestled in a chair under the palms was just what I needed before setting out to explore the beaches for treasures! I found a total of 12 sand dollars on just our stretch of beach! Dinner suggestions by Diane were spot on!! We rented bikes right there on the property for a full day excursion (my favorite day). The beds were so comfortable and very much needed after our all day outings, lol. The pool was fantastic (and I'm a stickler for pools, too, lol). It was great having pool/beach towels available for use each day. We loved the 11am check out time too. We give our stamp of approval. read more

Awesome spot! Highly recommend. Great location right on the beach approx. 4 minute walk to the water. Less than a mile from all restaurants and town center shops and market. Large, clean room. Bed had nice linens and big comfy pillows. We were lucky enough to have a large private patio. Pet friendly! Very nice pool area with nice cushioned lay back chairs and cabanas just steps from your room. Wil at the front desk is very nice and super accommodating. Stocked fridges with water and soda. Stayed November 10th. Not sure what to expect as it was our first time in Jekyll Island. William greeted us when we checked in and was so happy and friendly. He made us feel very welcomed. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed taking a walk around and everything was pristine. There was a lovely firepit at night. When we booked this hotel we did as many of us do and looked at the previous reviews and photos of the spot. The pictures looked very lovely and alluring. But when we arrived the reality was different. The first room had mold in the bathroom, the door security latch was broken, and it just didn't smell right. We switched rooms when we arrived to the new room the coffee maker had not even been cleaned. It still contained the old used coffee kurig cup. We ended up using our own disinfecting wipes just to feel safer. The pool was out of service for 2 of our 4 day stay. The best thing of the hotel is that it is literally within walking distance from the beach. Would not stay here again even if it was free. read more

It's a great location on the beach with plenty of outdoor places to lounge including 2 fire pits. Every staff member was genuinely attentive and friendly. So I booked this thru Bring Fido as I was looking to get away for a few days with my dog. I will definitely be back in the future! They allowed my big black lab mix, Will texted me when my room was ready and checked in me throughout my visit. Nice, small quiet hotel with beach access, a pool and cute areas around the facility to sit and listen to the waves. I stayed at another hotel on the other end of the island earlier in the year and the hotel really wasn't pet or people friendly. I almost didn't want to post a review so that it would be a hidden gem but I hope it does well and will say around for future visits! read more

Sand Dollars are plenty but remember the brown ones are still alive, please put them back in the water. We also loved the relaxation and tranquil moments by the fire pit. We had the absolute best time. A relaxing destination for a weekend getaway. We always check our hotel rooms for cleanliness and bugs before we even sit down. We found white claw beer cans under our mattress. When we reported this, the gentleman who took care of us was Mr. Will. We felt he took care of us very well. Upon our arrival, Mr. Wil had our mini fridge stocked with water, juice and sodas free of charge. The courtyard and pool area were absolutely beautiful. There was another guest there who played his guitar in the courtyard one evening, we could hear from our room, a nice added bonus. Everyone on the Island was so very friendly. We would also recommend The Sunrise Grill for breakfast. Seriously the best strawberry pancakes I've ever had. Also. Check out Driftwood beach. We have never seen anything like it. We absolutely will be going back and staying in the same hotel. read more

So we go to the Orlando airport to board for a Jamaican honeymoon booked through Sandals all inclusive vacations. Upon check in, we were told that Sandals failed to inform us that they changed our flights to two days earlier. We spent the remainder of the day being told by Sandals that no other flights were available in the whole state and that we weren't getting our $8,000 back we drive back home to Ormond Beach and my husband said, we have to carry on with our celebration and find us a little beach place fairly close. With no time to waste nor funds to do a "big" adventure now, Jekyll Island came up on the most romantic beaches in Georgia. We pass the exits on Interstate 95 often but never knew any details about this area. This beautiful little hotel pops up and it was just our type of place!!! So the next morning we jumped in the car and off we went for a short 2hr drive. Wil walked us to our suite, gave us the lowdown of the best places to eat and things to do on the island. Kayley and Wil checked on us via text regularly (because of CoVid) and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The pool was warm, clean and cozy with a fire pit lit nightly. The beach is just steps away and we loved eating and having a cocktail right next door at the Beach House Restaurant. The rooms are updated and very comfortable. We have found a place near home that we will be returning to as often as we can! 5 stars for sure! read more

We went to St. Augustine and had a horrible experience. We were headed home from our short vacation very disappointed despite the fact that we had two days left off of work. As we were driving on the highway, we started to see signs for Jekyll Island and decided to take a chance. We figured after our stay in FL, anything had to be better than the place we'd just spend the last few days. We drove to the island, and called around for the best rates, and this place ended up being a little more expensive than it's competition next door, but the service here was top notch. We told the front desk of our experience at the last place and we wanted to know if we could see the room before we booked our place. He gave us the keys to two different styles of rooms and we decided on one that faced the ocean with a large balcony and jacuzzi in the room. The bed was huge!!! The bathroom was nice, and there was a fireplace next to the jacuzzi tub, which also had two soft white robes waiting for us. This place was awesome and we were allowed a later checkout in the morning too. They have a nice pool, and hot tub outside, and the beach is a walk away, but you can still hear it and see it from the hotel through the beautiful Spanish moss trees. This will be a definite stop for our next vacation. I loved the island, and this hotel so much. I wish we wouldn't have even bothered with FL after having spent the night here :) read more

I love this Place! The small Resort sit right on the beach and has the best beach front on the whole island. The rooms are very nice and extremely clean much like what you would see in a Marriott or Hilton Hotel. The pool and Jacuzzi are clean & although they are only open until 10pm the hotel allowed us to go in after that as long as we weren't loud. The staff is friendly and will gladly help you find things to do on this small island. The Price can be pretty steep here but you do get exactly what you pay for. I heard a rumor all the hotels on jekyll island have been sold and new companies are renovating them. That would make sense for this place. I stayed here 10 years ago and have been back to the island 3 other times but stayed elsewhere. Decided to stay here for the nice pool and the beautiful grounds. I was surprised to walk into a room that was exactly the same as 10 years ago. Like...not in a good way. It seems like they sorta stopped caring. Minimum standards are met but I was shocked to see how the maid made our bed. It's fine not to change the sheets or towels daily - I'm all about being green. But she just sloppily pulled the comforter up and didn't fluff the pillows or even move them. I've never seen this before. The coffee wasn't replaced and we had to ask for more. Service was prompt so props for that. The outdoor garbage cans haven't been emptied for a few days and there have been two empty pizza boxes sitting by one for three days. The room is generally clean - despite being well worn. I appreciated the make up removal packet. But I hate it when hotels give shampoo and conditioner in one. Glad I brought my own. I like the mini kitchen complete with utensils and kitchen towels. That is a nice feature. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The pool needs some cleaning (algae on the side) and so do the adirondack chairs. Just a few steps to the beach which is the main perk. Overall we came here to be at the beach and not in a hotel room so if you just want a place to crash its a good and affordable place to crash. read more

Ok it's Feb14th . We go to check into our room . go to the bathroom and the toilet paper holder falls off the wall , later that night I go to take a shower before I even get my hair washed I notice the shower is not draining. It's completely clogged. We go to the front there is no other rooms to put us, it's 8:30 at night so we either have to wait for the maintenance man to get there and hope he can fix the problem , or go home we are now on our way home in hopes to salvage what's left of our valentines Day . I came here on business & when I arrived there was no wifi...receptionist said it'd been out for TWO WEEKS. When I asked the manager about it the next morning, he was very nonchalant which didn't surprise me considering he looked like a burn out. Thank god the lobby connection worked so I was able to work out of the lobby the night I arrived and the next morning. Found somewhere else to stay the remainder of my trip. The only redeeming feature was the room & view were beautiful. I would stay there again IF they had working internet but apparently it's always been unreliable(per other reviews). read more

the rooms were nice and it was the only hotel we could find that would do one night reservations. all the others required a 2 night minimum so that was a huge plus. they don't allow dogs, but have a beatiful pool area, rent bikes, and are just steps away from the beach. the only reason i gave this 3 stars instead of 4 was that our rooms weren't ready by 1pm, yet on our day of checkout, they were banging on our door at 10am to hurry and check out. and, for the price we paid, they could have at least offered some semblance of a breakfast. we would stay here again because it was enjoyable and you can't complain too much about being so near the beach! read more

After all the fake-ness of Florida, it was such a relief to find this amazing spot. The hotel is reasonably priced, the room is large with a comfy bed, fridge and microwave. We rented bikes and cruised around the north tip enjoying the beautiful views and beaches along the way. Tips if you go: Bring Groceries! Restaurants aren't that good and groceries only available in a tiny store or two. Be prepared to walk and enjoy the quiet. You're able to bring your dogs to the Beachview (on leash only). If you're into birds, go to the Campground and head to space J-9 at the back. It's full of feeders - we saw cardinals, downy woodpecker, tufted titmouse, and a Northern Perula (sp?) read more

This hotel is disgusting! Black mold,pubic hair, just plain dirty. Our room never cooled down and the owner was rude. If you are a bride planning a wedding here run like hell. You will be completely deceived and disappointed. They will tell you they have renovated rooms and they have a few but the rest are disgusting! Love this hotel and it is the only place my family and my extended family stay. It is a little dated in the rooms, but frankly, I don't mind because the rooms are spacious and clean. The showers could be a bit bigger and the lighting in the bathrooms could be brighter but honestly, who really cares when you are this close to the beach? When you leave your room start walking and you'll be at the beach in less than 2 minutes. If you don't feel like going to the beach, you can rent bikes at the front desk so you can explore the island or just sit on the chairs on the lawn that faces the ocean. You can see the beach from your room, it might not be the clearest view of the entire vista but I've spent many a night on the balcony watching the waves. We always get a kitchen suite which saves us a TON of money because we can eat all of our meals in the room. There are a lot of weddings at the Beachview so it can get a little noisy when the party starts going but that just adds to the beach fun. read more

Cheapest toilet paper money can buy. Clumps of hair on the "veranda" astroturf. Rollaway bed was held together with two lengths of plastic bags. Pilled linens. Crappy WiFi with no password. Funky TV. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last three years. During that time it has been on a steady decline. During our stay last week, we had multiple issues. The refrigerator in our room did not work and the door fell off the first replacement. Hotel staff did their best to try and fix the issue and did provide a brand new refrigerator/freezer the next day. We had three wasp/hornet nests on our balcony. The staff did help with these but they should have been removed before we checked in considering we had made the reservations several months in advance so our arrival was no surprise. All the cabinets were dirty. Found dead bugs, dust and other stuff in all them. All the public areas were a mess. Trash, dead bugs, dirty and spider webs everywhere. Saw no attempt during our week and half stay to try to clean any of those areas. Mattresses were worn out. They did make our bed with brand new sheets. However they were not washed and were extremely rough. The staff was overheard on many occasions commenting to themselves about the guest, other staff members and management using words not fit for mixed company. They might even make a sailor blush. Several rooms were being renovated, however their seemed to be no plan for how and when this was happening. Guest were place in rooms near rooms that were being renovated causing them to be disturbed early in the morning. Found several bugs in our room through out our stay. The grounds, while run down some, are still relaxing and beautiful. Anyone staying on Jekyll for any time knows beach views are hard to come by thanks to the dunes. This hotel has some nice ones though as long as you stay on the second story. (No elevator though so be prepared to carry your bags up stairs). Construction at the adjoining hotel is a bit of a distraction but the Beachview Club has no control over that. WiFi is iffy at best. My room luckily seemed to have a stable connection but heard a lot of complaining from other guests. This hotel has some serious issues currently. They are working to renovate so hopefully they can get back to being one of the best hotels on the island. They have some serious competition now which they did not in the past. read more
