3.5 out of 5 We've been living at Beachwood Apartments for over two years now, and overall, it has been a generally positive experience. The community feels safe and secure, especially being a gated property, which provides peace of mind. Management also makes an effort to foster a sense of community by organizing events where residents are encouraged to participate. The amenities are good and contribute to a comfortable living environment. However, there are several ongoing concerns that impact day-to-day convenience. The biggest issue is parking. Even with a two-bedroom unit, only one reserved parking space is included, leaving the second vehicle dependent on very limited open parking. Early on, I experienced firsthand how difficult this can be--I spent nearly an hour trying to find parking one night with no success and ultimately had to leave my car at work, take an Uber home, and return the next day to retrieve it. Since then, we've had to rent an additional parking lifter for $175 per month on top of our already high rent of over $3,000, which adds a noticeable financial burden. The mailroom is another concern. It has become quite disorganized, and deliveries are often misplaced. It can be frustrating trying to locate packages. There also appears to be a situation where one resident regularly receives a large volume of packages--ranging from small to very large items--and leaves them in the mailroom for extended periods. This adds to the clutter and confusion, making it harder for others to find their deliveries. It seems management may be having difficulty addressing this, and perhaps expanding the mailroom or implementing a better system could help. Laundry is also less convenient than expected. The system requires residents to load a minimum of $10 into the app just to use the washers and dryers. This feels unnecessary and inflexible--especially if you only need to wash a few items. Instead of being able to load a smaller amount or pay per use, residents are forced to add $10 each time, even if they won't fully use it. Maintenance response could also be improved. For example, one of the dryers in Building 600 has been out of service for about three weeks. While I acknowledge that I reported it during the second week, it's still something that ideally should be addressed more promptly. Additionally, rent increases over time (though I'm not certain if it's annual) are something to keep in mind. Overall, Beachwood Apartments offers a safe and community-oriented place to live with solid amenities. However, the parking limitations, mailroom disorganization, laundry payment system, and maintenance delays are important factors that management should improve to enhance the overall resident experience. read more

The apartment complex has its pros and cons. The units are decent for the price, and the location is convenient. There have been a few delays with Parking but that just comes the amount of people within the city but we do get parking stalls and parking lifts. However, Elizabeth and anyone in management is always willing to help and does their best to resolve problems when they're brought their attention. We have been happily living here at Beachwood since 2021. It has been an absolute pleasure living here. The apartments and the whole site are clean and spacious and everything is well-maintained by the staff. Elizabeth and her staff have always been very helpful and supportive. Any concern or issues we've had have always been quickly resolved. The fitness center is always a short walk away from the apartments and is always upkept. Packages are sent to the mailroom right next to the front office. It can be a bit overwhelming to find your package but it will eventually pop up. Compared to the other apartments I have seen I would highly recommend living here at Beachwood! read more

Great place, special thanks to Elizabeth for being so helpful helping me get settled in. Management takes excellent care of the place, it's a peaceful and safe environment, the apartment rooms themselves are well built, pets are allowed with responsible owners when it comes cleaning up after them and making sure there's no barking all day, there's a pool, gym, laundry station, and even dog washing station and park, and probably more features I'm unaware of. The only con of living here is that it's a little more expensive than other places but I feel like I get what I pay for, plus renting in CA is just expensive in general. I HIGHLY don't recommend living here! I don't even know where to start with how disappointed I am with this apartment complex: -2 washers and dryers for 40+ people and one washer NEVER works while the dryers never fully dry -washer and dry rooms never opened on time -I could never get a light bulb replaced because they always told me they don't have any and have to buy some but never bought and and came back -my car was broken into and I had a camera right ABOVE my parking spot yet they said the images were too blurry when I wanted footage to send to the police dept -the after hours security is HORRIBLE they never answer their phones or return your calls -my apartment was broken into and come to find out I had to over hear while the police were at my place that they revived a email for noice complaint earlier that day but never investigated - they went into my apartment before the police got there which they should have known NOT to - They didn't check the cameras and I had to get footage from my neighbor based on the time the email for the noise complaint was sent - All of a sudden the camera (which were the same ones from my car break in) were clear and they could see the thief's but never looked into how they got in , if they lived there, or if there was a car on site - They got "extra" security after the the rest of that month and that "extra" security sat at one of the gate entrances with the gate wide open while he sat in his car all night - After my breakin there was no follow up no filling out anything and I had to reach out to get my door fixed - It took them 1 week to fix my door and the door still wasn't fully fixed properly to where it was safe enough- they told me the whole door was going to be replaced ( which it should have been due to how bad the damage was) but they only put 2 small metal plates near the lock Wish I could give this place no stars but it wouldn't let me so I had to give them 1 star read more

This year will be my 3rd year living at Beachwood Village, and I have to say the staff and the overall complex is incredible. The front office staff managed by Elizabeth are always quick to answer and support any questions you may have which is greatly appreciated. Not to mention the maintenance staff/grounds keepers are in my opinion what make this place so special. Every morning they are out keeping the place spotless, I can't remember the last time i've seen a piece of trash on the ground. Looking to move in here? I've lived at Beachwood for 8 years now. I love it here. These apartments are very well maintained. There are very clean as they have 7 days a week maintenance and service. No need to wait days to get something repair in your unit. Cesar, Tony, Oscar, Ruben, and Egla keep these apartments beautiful. From parking lots, to gardens, to hallways. Elizabeth who is the apartment manager, is very friendly and manages her team well and it's why these apartments are very well maintained. Rooms are very spacious. I rent a two bedroom apartment, just alone in my master bedroom I can fit a queen & twin size beds, a desk, a tall cabinet closet and a tv stand with plenty of room to walk around. I'm at the first level and I have a great size patio. I don't have pets but they have a shower room for pets, pretty amazing. My favorite is the mail room, this is where all my packages get delivered and don't have to worry about getting them stolen outside my door. There's two pools with jacuzzis and cabanas to bbq. Theres also a full size basketball court and a tenis court. Yes, these apartments may be a few hundred dollars more than other apartments around the area but you wont have to worry about waiting days for a service call to be answered or walk around dirty nasty apartments. I have lived at Beachwood for almost 5 years and it has been great overall. They really kept us safe during the covid-19 pandemic and gave out free PPE multiple times. Beachwood has 2 pools, jacuzzi, a small fitness center from 8am-10pm, multiple laundry units on property, tennis court, basketball court, pet park, pet spa, and a mail package delivery room. The 1 bedroom units are relatively large for the area which is appreciated. My apartment was all hardwood floor throughout. I really enjoyed the farmers kitchen sink. Certain parking spaces comes with additional storage in front of your spot. If you are on the ground floor, you have a relatively large patio. Pet friendly but many owners tend to not pick up poop which is annoying. The maintenance/engineering team are very friendly and always on point for fixing things while being respectful. They are personable and efficient. The leasing office: Elizabeth, Yesenia, Dan, and Seth are all fantastic, with great communication and addresses issues in a timely manner. At times the location tends to have a lot of things going on and sometimes lets you know last minute, but when they do let you know, they do email and place a note in front of your door! read more

Beware of Unfair and Discriminatory Practices I recently applied to co-sign on a lease at this complex, and my experience was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Despite meeting their requirements and providing all necessary documents, it became clear that the leasing agent had no genuine intention of renting to us. To make matters worse, I have a friend who moved in just two months ago and did not have to go through the extensive and inconsistent process I was subjected to. Here's the timeline of events and reasons given for my denial: 1/8 - I applied to rent a unit. 1/9 - Reason #1: I was told I needed to submit a 30-day notice to my current complex before my application could proceed. Result: This was unreasonable to ask before receiving approval for the new place. I requested documentation outlining their process for verifying rental history, and nowhere did it state this was a requirement. 1/10 - Reason #2: I received a call from Melina and another manager, Carmen, claiming I did not make enough to cover 2.5x the rent plus my mortgage. Result: I asked them to review my documents again, as I have two sources of income and enough savings to cover rent and mortgage for an entire lease term. Instead of addressing this, they insulted my brother, who was also involved in the application process, pointing out his credit issues and saying he was "maxed out." This was completely unprofessional. They said that they will "look into it". (Clearly they did not) 1/13 - Reason #3: Another employee, Ken, called to say I couldn't be approved due to a single item under collection on my credit report, despite my credit score being 761. When I spoke to the manager, Elizabeth, she could not confirm whether the process I went through was standard or not, as she "wasn't there." Instead, she focused solely on the one negative mark on my credit, which is currently under dispute. The discrepancies between their stated process and the one I experienced are alarming. It felt like the goalposts kept shifting with every interaction, and my legitimate qualifications were dismissed for arbitrary reasons. This experience left me feeling targeted and discriminated against. If you are considering renting here, be cautious of their inconsistent and seemingly biased practices. This team needs to reevaluate their professionalism and transparency when dealing with potential tenants. read more

All the maintenance guys ( Oscar ,Cesar, Tony, Ruben and Egla) know me and my dog by name and say hi to me everyday. I really do think that they keep the grounds looking spotless and are always going out of their way to keep things looking polished. The overall cleanliness of the complex is amazing, you can find the staff here sanitizing, sweeping, mopping along with de-webbing the hallways. All the staff members have been nothing but very great to work with, they are always friendly and happy to assist you whenever you have any questions or concerns. We had the pleasure of working with Seth throughout the whole move in process and he was always happy to help us and answer any all questions we had prior to the move in.
