This is…read morethe second visit where I've seen a movie, and both times, it was Wicked (the first, and second parts). This time was my first time ordering food, and I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken BLT wrap. It comes with beer braised chicken, avocado mayo, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was flavorful, and felt slightly healthier since it wasn't fried. It also came with a plentiful amount of French fries. The theatre itself is very comfortable, with reclining seats, and trays that you can place in the cup holder of your chair, and make it easy to enjoy your meal or snack. Will probably be back next year, to check out whatever new release movie may be out at that point!

Basically it was soda and popcorn and that was it. Soda machines are regular style and not like the Coke Freestyle machines so it's very limited in options. We had bought the Atmos theater option expecting the full surround sound as advertised. It felt like the movie was almost muted or lower volume level in general. It was odd. The recliners worked and floors appeared clean, but the armrest and cupholders were oily and sticky. Next - if your app is having issues, please post on website or social media instead of hoping people fight with it for days. The almost $10 convenience fee seemed a bit excessive especially for 4 tickets. Other companies tend to waive that fee when it's 4 or more tickets or if you're part of their rewards. We did not receive any reward points for tickets or concession due to the technology issues. Icing on the cake for the way things were going at that price...

So while going to Beall's with the kids, I smelled popcorn and decided to see if the theater was finally open and it was AND they had Lego Movie 2 starting in 10 mins. The staff was very friendly. All tickets are $5. My son was young enough to get in free. All theaters have different ages so I stopped asking after he turned 2. They have movie posters for $2. The popcorn was good. I got the kids combo and their candy was airheads. I didn't get a good look at their concessions menu since my visit was impromptu and I was trying hurry. Check out their Facebook for specials and updates. They take customer feedback seriously, so be respectful and patient. I think because they are being transparent about how things work with getting films, customers tend to be understanding. They also said they are remodeling, so that may also give them a chance to have more theaters available for another film in the future. I look forward to what the owners have planned for this theater. I have been to theaters like this in another state and it stayed busy even with a brand new theater across the street. I hope they keep the building clean, the service top notch, and stay in this great community.

Definitely not the best of the best, but cheaper than all the rest!…read more I never realy used to like going to the port orange 6. It was dingy, the theaters were small, the sound was crap...I could go on. But then ticket prices got expensive. So instead of hiking all the way to the Ormaond Regal and paying $2-$3 dollars more per person, I prefer to stay local and deal with the slight discomforts of the Port Orange 6. The Good: Cheap!: Like I said before, the price is really the best facet of this place. Matinees are still $6, and it doesn't get much better than that in central Florida. The Bad: Renovations?: Pretty much everything here screams "I need an update!" Now don't get me wrong, everything works fine, but from the lobby to the upholstery, nearly everything here looks OLD. But on the bright side of things, once the lights go down, you can't see anything, so it's not that big of a deal. No Stadium seating: Okay maybe stadium seating doesn't matter to YOU , but it REALLY matters to me. Why? Because I'm SHORT. If there's no stadium seating, I can't see, unless the theater is empty. So yes, I DO have a problem with this. I really like going to the Port Orange 6, and ONLY because it is so cheap. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't reccomend this place at all. But we're in a recession people! Sacrifices MUST be made! Overall 6.0/10= Come for the prices, stay for the movies!

There are two ways to judge a movie theater:…read more The first way is on the theater itself. This theater is decent. That's all. Just decent. It's small, the seats are pretty terrible. The sound and picture are ok, though. The second way is judging a theater on the people who frequent it. I have never experienced such rude movie patrons as I have tonight. We had to move twice because the people sitting behind us (both times!) just wouldn't stop talking. By the end of the movie, we were subjected to someone shining a laser on the screen. Not going back unless desperate and for a movie that no one else is planning on seeing.

We are always greeted warmly, parked strategically, and had the details explained to us upon arrival. Because our motorhome is 40' we have to park sideways so cannot see the movies out of the windshield as you would in a car, but we put out our lawn chairs and raised dog bed outside the rig and listen on our FM radio. We do tie the pups off to a post in front of us because others with dogs often park or walk nearby and ours are a bit too friendly. When the ticket booth opens, we pay for our tickets and concession voucher. The muffulettas and popcorn are both excellent! We were told we could run our generator before/after the movies but not during...worked out perfectly for us! Although our rig is self contained and didn't use them, bathrooms were nearby and open through the night. The even projected a free Valentines message between films as long as it was received a few days prior. Note: if you don't plan to listen from your car, you do need an FM radio...I don't think they have any of the old-fashioned window hanging speakers.

We accidentally lined up incorrectly and got a whole lecture how to read the signs. After paying $6 each and being charged an automatic $10 food voucher, we parked. The ladies working the concession stand are so rude. There's a sign that basically says "don't line up if you don't know what you want." The popcorn had been popped earlier so it wasn't warm and way too salty. The soda was flat, and the mozzarella sticks were again, salty. Apple Pay doesn't work! Movie started at 8pm and it was still daylight outside. The screen was still dark that no one could actually see the movie until an hour later. The instructions were to turn off the lights and engine, but the people around us had their engines on so the exhaust kept flowing through the lot. I wish there was an attendant that enforced the rules. Overall, it's an experience but they need to do better. I guess this is what $22 gets us.

The woman at the entrance was kind and helpful, though she spoke so softly my ADHD brain had to lean in like a detective--but her directions were spot on. Inside the main building, the art from Cuba was the star for me--bold, vibrant, full of life. Some of my absolute favorites were in the Cuban art section--each piece felt like it was humming with its own frequency. The geometric painting (the one drenched in deep reds, burnt oranges, and that sharp black hourglass shape) hit me first. It's bold, mathematical, yet somehow spiritual--like a coded message meant for anyone perceptive enough to catch it. Very "guardian-spirit-meets-mid-century-modern." I stood there longer than I expected. The giant ancient sloth? Unreal. I wish they'd place a modern-day sloth beside it, just so my brain could process the scale without glitching. The bug/kids section was unexpectedly adorable. The kids were living their best lives, and honestly, I was right there with them--zero shame. I did drive over to the second building for the "It's a Ship Show" exhibit, and okay... I see what they did with the title. At first glance I read it as "It's a Sht* Show," and for a split second I thought MOAS got sassy. The artwork leaned heavily into still life, and to me it felt more like pieces you'd find in an upscale lounge, a refined boutique hotel, or a polished restaurant--visually pleasing but not as emotionally stirring as the main gallery. Just my personal taste. I could've spent more time wandering around, but I was on a first date with someone who kept making me laugh. I felt like the loud kid in class trying to stay quiet in a museum. Overall, great value, memorable art, and a surprisingly fun atmosphere. I'd definitely go again--preferably when I'm not giggling through every exhibit.
