We are typically in Daytona once a year, right around the same time, just about every year. This is the second visit where I've seen a movie, and both times, it was Wicked (the first, and second parts). This time was my first time ordering food, and I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken BLT wrap. It comes with beer braised chicken, avocado mayo, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was flavorful, and felt slightly healthier since it wasn't fried. It also came with a plentiful amount of French fries. The theatre itself is very comfortable, with reclining seats, and trays that you can place in the cup holder of your chair, and make it easy to enjoy your meal or snack. Will probably be back next year, to check out whatever new release movie may be out at that point! read more

Overrated & priced for options and quality. If you have a matinee, I would expect your food options and drinks to be fully available especially during a Holiday week. Basically it was soda and popcorn and that was it. Soda machines are regular style and not like the Coke Freestyle machines so it's very limited in options. We had bought the Atmos theater option expecting the full surround sound as advertised. It felt like the movie was almost muted or lower volume level in general. It was odd. The recliners worked and floors appeared clean, but the armrest and cupholders were oily and sticky. Next - if your app is having issues, please post on website or social media instead of hoping people fight with it for days. The almost $10 convenience fee seemed a bit excessive especially for 4 tickets. Other companies tend to waive that fee when it's 4 or more tickets or if you're part of their rewards. 5 Stars My go-to theater in Daytona Beach! I've been coming to CMX for years now, and I can honestly say it's the only theater in the Daytona Beach area worth going to -- the next closest one is a Regal all the way in Port Orange. Over time, I've seen CMX go through ups and downs, especially during and after COVID, but they're definitely starting to get back on their A-game again. There was a stretch where their food was hit or miss -- sometimes the fries were burnt, sometimes amazing. Same with the burgers and chicken nuggets. But lately, I've noticed a solid improvement across the board. They've rebranded their menu, made it a bit smaller and more streamlined, and even added new dessert options like churros and beignets. I actually really like the simpler menu -- easier to choose, and overall the food is pretty good. Are there still occasional inconsistencies? Yes, but it seems like they're working on it. I'm not sure if that's due to staffing or switching chefs, but I'd say bear with them, because they're clearly improving. I usually get the kids meal because it's around $9 and comes with fries, a small drink, and your choice of food (burger or nuggets). It's a great portion for the price. Their nachos are decent -- could use a little more flavor, but they're not bad. Candy selection is always well-stocked, and they also have a full bar which is a nice bonus. They've made some adjustments like removing the self-serve butter machines and drink cups (likely to help with inventory and waste), and that doesn't bother me at all. The staff is generally very nice, and anyone who wasn't friendly in the past doesn't seem to be there anymore. The managers have always been professional and helpful when I've needed them. The atmosphere is clean and family-friendly for the most part. Yes, the floors can be a little sticky at times, but I've always seen someone cleaning when I go. And let's be real -- sticky floors are kind of a classic movie theater thing Ticket prices are fair -- about $15 for new releases, and after a few weeks, prices drop to around $7-$8, which I really appreciate. They also have The Box (D-Box motion seats), which I've tried once. It's a cool experience -- the seat moves, shakes, and vibrates with the action scenes, which adds a fun, immersive touch. But personally, I prefer the regular recliner chairs. They're just more comfortable and relaxing for me. All in all, CMX Daytona Beach is my go-to spot for movies. I come at least once a month, depending on what's playing. Glad to see them improving and staying part of the local entertainment scene! Oh! I almost forgot to mention -- they have recliner seats, and they are so comfortable. Once you experience watching a movie in those, it totally spoils you. I seriously can't imagine going back to a regular theater seat again. The recliners make it easy to relax, stretch out, and enjoy the movie in total comfort. Went to see Wicked for good at CMX. Tickets were easy to purchase online. We chose the location for the reclining seats which did not disappoint. Sat 2nd row which worried me, but wasn't bad - didn't have to cram my neck. Got there early so we had time to order a burger(few options) and fries(~$19). We also went to the bar for the group and had a glass of wine, vodka soda, margarita, and rum and coke - all came to $53 before tip. Bar tender was very nice, good drinks and pours. Burger took about 10-15 minutes before a 7pm movie so give yourself time. Bathroom was just ok. I think movie theaters are just understaffed these days, but quality of everything we enjoyed was good. We were reluctant to go to this theater based on previous reviews. Anyway, we went and the theater seats recline (I'm 6'1) and they were comfortable. Every time we go there the floors are sticky and dirty and the bathrooms stink. The only thing I like are the chairs.

I love this theater because the seats are all comfortable and you can bring a blanket and be comfortable. Sound level during the movies are decent and there is plenty of room for people to walk through rows without disturbing everyone. The drinks and popcorn are overpriced - but find me a theater where they aren't. The bathrooms have always been clean for me. My daughter (16) took her brothers to see the Minecraft movie at 8:30 pm. They told her they would sell her the tickets but at 9PM they would come and escort them off property because they can't be on property after 9. & while I understand this "rule" the website states this rule is for shows that start AFTER 9, not shows that end after 9. AGE POLICY: (from website) Guests 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for R-Rated films. Guests must be 18+ for shows AFTER 9PM, unless with parent or guardian. I came to CMX Daytona 12 to see the movie "Black Adam" and overall it was a pretty positive experience. There is adequate parking, I was able to get through buying a ticket in a relatively quick amount of time and the movie theater had some nice reclining chairs to watch the movie and relative comfort. If you want to grab a bite before going to see the movie, there are plenty of places right by the theater to get your meal on. Tickets were a bit high, but I guess that's the norm now. The reason we go to this theater is because they offer a full bar, full service food, such as burgers, pizza, nachos and so much more. If course you have your popcorn and soda, which is so delicious. The cooks are great at their job and quick to. The theater seats recline back for ultimate comfort while watching your show , along with reclined seats they also offer 3 types of theaters. 1 regular theater, 2 Dolby atmos theater and 3 the RPX which is where your seats move with the movie. Super disappointed in the quality of this theater, especially given that its one one of the only ones left in the area and its relatively new. Bought tickets online for a Thursday matinee. When we arrived, there was no one there to scan tickets and all of the showing signs were turned off at the individual theater rooms so there was no way for us to find out which theater we were supposed to go in. Went back to the ticket counter and every single one of their ticket machines was out of service. There was one person behind the counter taking FOREVER to process a transaction because they were trying to sell the couple in front of us on their monthly membership. Didn't bother to get food. They market themselves as having more than just standard concessions but they really only have a couple of basic things like hot dogs and chicken strips. Its not really a dine in theater and there are no tables at the seats to eat off of. Restrooms were clean but they had left the cleaning supplies out all over the place. The theater itself was clean but not well maintained. The seats were all insanely squeaky and caused a disruption to the movie every time someone wanted to get up. Several groups talking at full volume, not even attempting to whisper, during the movie. In future, we'll just wait for the movies to become available for rental. read more

We saw the 7:50 showing of five nights at Freddy's. We slept through the last time, on Halloween. We didn't realize it was a three hour movie. Like a trooper, Addy (my 7 year old daughter) ate her popcorn, candy and drank her soda and made it through most of the movie. She was totally crashed by the end. I scooped her up and carried her to the car despite the fact that she is getting a little big. In any event, we were both happy at this point. I brought her out to the car, gently strapped her into the seat and reached in my pocket for the key. It wasn't there. I thought it had been odd that the car was already unlocked when we came out. Nothing was missing it seemed. I only had to find the key. I laid my precious baby in her car seat and commenced to tearing my car apart, looking for the key. 5 minutes later, I had all kinds of stuff sitting on my trunk as I sifted through the tangled nightmare that is all of my IT tools that I keep with me in the car, if not very organized. About halfway through the search, some employee comes out to their car, not far from mine, and the guy tells me we "can't be parked in hi parking lot. What!? I'm a little aggravated at this point. I didn't get his name because he felt I wasn't worth approaching or asking anything. Instead, He yelled out to me, "I can't have you in my parking lot". I was legitimately shocked that I had run into the owner of CMX Theaters. Despite being rather dubious of this claim and not being asked a single question, I explained the situation. I explained that I was looking for my lost car key. I would tell you his name but he didn't tell me or approach me. All I can relate is that he was fairly skinny, flamboyant, dark complected gentleman, whose name I couldn't possibly have gleaned as he didn't offer it.. Regardless, and considering my 7 year old daughter watching all of this, I was doing my best to comply and simply find my key and leave. With absolutely no regard for my daughter or the fact that I was a paying custome , he told me he had called the police. Exasperated, frustrated and insulted at this point,I told him I expected nothing less from him. While that wasn't my proudest moment or the proper response, calling the police on someone who hasn't exited your movie theatre parking lot within 10 minutes of the movie ending is a little out of line. The police didn't pull up, "security" for Daytona 1 did. The slightly heavier, also dark complected gentleman informed me that he needed me to get out of the parking lot. He told me her couldn't have me there looking through my car. I was furious by this point, is this how they treat people at Daytona one? They ancted like I was homeless and in the way. I am neither. I wasn't interested in teaching these people how to behave in society, nor was I interested in arguing with them in anyway. All I wanted to do was get out of that parking lot as quickly as possible and away from those people because they already upset my daughter and I wanted that to stop as soon as possible . Gratefully, I found my key shortly after that. I drove away from CMX theaters for the absolute last time. I guarantee you there will never be another day of my life when I or anyone who cares about me will ever visit a CMX theater again. Never again, shame on you! read more

Well, since November 2024 I have emailed and even spoke to manager at the theater to get two credits for movies that I saw. As of today, Feb 1 ,2025 still no resolution. Worst theater I've ever been to. The seat I sat in made noise when I adjusted it. Also the closed captioning box was a damned joke. My wife and I were in Daytona for a business meeting. We live in Georgia and always go to your Peachtree Corners and Alpharetta locations and have always enjoyed ourselves. We went to dinner and decided to see "The Working Man". What we have experienced in Georgia carried over into your Daytona location. We found your employees to be friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I can report that both restrooms were very clean which was nice to see, especially on a busy weekend night. The movie was enjoyable. As we were leaving we interacted with this theater's general manager named Tim. Tim was very kind and seemed sincere in asking if we had a nice time. It is unique to have now visited three different CMX theaters, and the genuine passion from employees to management ensuring your guests are happy is a rarity nowadays. Terrible first impression. Went to the box office to return a couple tickets manager and staff member were friendly then it all went down hill. Waited in a long line for pop corn we told the girl behind the counter our popcorn order she grabbed a container to fill then her manager told her to go somewhere else so she put the container down and walked away. Drink station was disgusting soda spilled everywhere, out of cups and lids. Went to the cashier to order for and was told we are out of everything except nachos, hamburgers, hotdogs and fries so we ordered nachos they were fine. Went to the bar and the bartender greeted us with we are out of everything no wine, no beer on tap and only have a few bottled beers and some of the hard alcohol I don't even know why I'm here. My review is directed primarily at Assistant Manager Bailey. Last night, we had a problem with our seating- our original tickets purchased via Fandango had to be shifted as our film was moved to a different theater and someone else had purchased our preferred seats. Bailey graciously helped us get new seats and everyone in my party of seven was satisfied with the result. Bailey is an asset to CMX Daytona! The theater itself has a great setup: huge reclining chairs, plenty of room to walk between rows, great sound system. Plenty of concession areas and even a bar off to one side. It was a beautiful theater and now it's run down. The manager tells me every time we visit they are short staff and that's why the bathroom is dirty. It smells so bad I almost vomited. The floors are soaked with urine, mold, mildew. Management excuse we are hiring a janitor. The recline seats are damaged and the popcorn and oil stains on the seats are not being cleaned.
