The friendly phone receptionist set my "appointment" for an oil change for my 2003 Saturn for 1 PM Friday (yesterday). I was there at 1 PM. The service writer said there were two others ahead of me for my "appointment" but he'd try to get me out sooner than the two hours he said it might take for me to wait for it! Really?! Why did I even make an appointment? My car sat in their service lane for 45 minutes after I arrived for my appointment. After two hours, I saw my car parked outside and asked, "Who do I pay?" The service writer said my car had another car ahead of it before it would be serviced - from my 1 PM "appointment"! I took my keys and left right then. In the last seven years I bought two new cars from Beaman. And this is about as shabby as one can be treated as a loyal customer. This kind of treatment by the Beaman brand is a reflection on the Toyota service, too. I asked them not to insult me by giving me some free stuff and sincerest apologies. That won't give me back my hour round trip from Mount Juliet nor the two hours waiting for nothing to happen. read more

I've updated this review after receiving my car back. I've historically had good experiences at Beaman Buick service. But my experience in July 2020 wasn't up to par. The shop cancelled a scheduled pick-up the morning of my appointment, so I had to scramble to figure out how to transport my car to the shop. Once the car was dropped off (I had to have it towed in), I was promised certain repairs would be completed within a day or two, and they weren't. The most frustrating part was that I wasn't provided regular updates about the status of my car. That's especially frustrating given that I had to re-arrange my schedule for however long my car was in their shop. When I called the shop myself, I was put on hold for anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes. Some questions that I asked one of the assistant managers (about how much my repairs will cost, or why I'm being charged for parts and repairs that do not seem to work) required that they put me on hold again to find the answer. And sometimes whomever was managing at the time simply didn't know the status of my job. Communication and record keeping in the shop seemed lacking. Ultimately, I did get the car back in working order, albeit days later than expected. As I mentioned, most of my experiences at this shop have been very good. So, I'm hoping this one was just an aberration and not a sign of how things are now. read more

On all prior visits my trucked was pulled up for me. This time I was handed my keys and had to go find it in the lot. The plastic was still on the seat and the paper mat was still on the floor. Also they usually provide a courtesy car wash but not this time. Not the best service I have received to date and not typical of the service I have received. read more

Had to call 4 times before I was able to get through to a live service person. He was nice and quoted some rates for a couple straight forward replacement items (battery & door handle). I get to the dealer and it's double the price he said. Not to mention he said they'd get it done today. So after the bait and switch on the price, the guy told me they wouldn't be done until tomorrow by lunch. Ridiculous. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BEAMAN GMC. They will go out of their way to find a reason not to honor your car's warranty. In addition they pay their Service Department on COMMISSION. Nothing says "don't trust your mechanic" like paying them based upon how much they can convince a person to spend to fix their car. Beaman GMC and the GMC brand in general provided me the single worst customer service experience of my life. If you can avoid it, go anywhere but Beaman GMC. read more

From the time I stepped out of my vehicle Jarren Glenn treated me like a friend that he wanted to help, not just a customer to sell. I had a million questions and he was patient and informative, he bent over backwards to make sure I was getting what I wanted and that I was comfortable with the purchase. Mr. Glenn is the reason I completed my search there at Beaman. "Car salesmen" already have an uphill battle with the stigma but Mr. Glenn took that stigma and erased it from my mind with him. I will never do business with anyone else. My family came with me to pick up the car and they were also highly impressed with Mr. Glenn. These days it is hard to find someone who genuinely cares about the process and Mr. Glenn does. In my opinion he is a tremendous asset to your company read more

Worst Service of Nashville goes to: Beaman Automotive . I scheduled and appt for Friday, online. But I needed an oil change asap, so I called after work,yesterday. Talked to a man named Corky, he said he could see me today and just to ask for him. Nashville traffic is such a cluster. I get there, after 2 loop arounds. I was informed that service techs leave at 3 (imagine my reaction... yes.. I flipped a switch) I tell them who I spoke with and they told me he had already left. I told David(this poor man at the service desk), to tell Corky that he's officially on my SH!T list. Wow, Beaman really found a way to lose a customer for life! I visited the downtown GMC dealership Thursday afternoon. We got to a best price offering after a few hours at the dealership and I told the sales associate I would like to sleep on it. He asked when would be a good time to connect the following day to determine if we were going to move forward. I informed him early afternoon would be best. Overnight the sales team chose to discount the vehicle enough to get a deal made the following day. I chose to reach out to the sales associate to let him know I noticed the price discount on the website and believed with the new discounted price we would be able to close the deal that day. The sales associate ran the numbers we discussed by the finance team and called back saying we have a deal. The sales associate and I made arrangements to meet at the dealership at a specific time in the afternoon. Shortly after the call, the sales associate called me back and asked how soon I could be at the dealership. He indicated there was another sales associate who wanted to show the vehicle to another customer. I informed the sales associate I would head to the dealership immediately. Before I made it out of my office parking lot the sales associate called again expressing the urgency in getting to the dealership. I informed the sales associate I was already in the car and on the way (it had been less than 5 minutes since the original request to get to the dealership was posed by the sales associate). I explained to the sales associate I was coming from Brentwood and would be there as soon as possible. I ran into traffic on I-65 N due to a traffic accident requiring TNDOT to shut down north bound lanes of I-65. I followed an alternate route thru surface streets to attempt to get to the dealership faster. Once I arrived, the sales associate quickly jogged to the finance office and asked me to complete prequalification forms he had already prepared. As I was finishing my signature on the prequalification form, the sales associate came into the finance office and informed me the other customer was already in financing and we could not complete the transaction. The sales associate indicated the other customer was working with the top sales associate and my sales associate could not "cut" him. This leads me to believe there must be some type of protocol or process Beaman may have been able to utilize to ensure both customer parties felt valued by the dealership. I expected to get a sales pitch from the sales manager or someone explaining options (if any) they were willing to explore to ensure my overall satisfaction was not irreparably damaged. I received no such offer or even acknowledgement that the Beaman team was disappointed we could not work out a solution. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism from all Beaman parties and had much higher expectations. Regardless myself nor anyone of my family members will conduct business with the Beaman family or their subsidiaries. read more

Terrible Customer service. It drive me insane when people waste others time. I had to leave an appointment that was important to make sure I arrived after they scheduled the appointment. They said they wouldn't have time to complete it today and i would need to come back. They asked if a lady set the appointment, I said yes. They said she doesn't know what she's doing. It's over two hours driving both ways and two hours lost from the Day. Will never go back. I should mention this was for a seat belt so it is a safety issue as well. read more

We had a great buying experience with Sam and Wayne. They were kind, courteous, respectful and worked with us to get us the best deal on a new Buick Encore. The only draw back was the amount of time we had to wait for the finance manager. He was with another customer and we had to wait about an hour. Otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars. read more

My Experience: The service advisor, David was extremely nice. In terms of improvements: 1. Decent coffee should be provided to guests. I had to ask for some and whoever made it did NOT know how. Very weak. 2. This was the unedited response to my on line reservation: "Thank you for your iqnuiry. Please david this morning when you arrive." Not very professional, is it? 3. One of the maintenance items was the electronic tire pressure indicator. It was not reading the front left tire properly. I was told it was fixed and the 35 lbs of pressure was in the tires. The electronic indicator ranged from 31 to 34 lbs. I would not recommend. read more

I Just recently purchased a vehicle from Beaman, and right from the start it was an unpleasant experience. I hate leaving negative reviews, however I've never felt like my business was so unappreciated. I just recently moved to Nashville from Orange County. My husband and I drove straight from the airport to the car dealership to purchase a car. I knew the make and model I wanted already and what our budget was. They did not have the color of my choosing and the salesman was completely unfriendly and unwilling to help us locate the color we wanted. He didn't even give us the option to get the color we wanted. He did mention that for him to search for it, there would be a huge upcharge for convenience fee. (I've NEVER heard of that before) I didn't feel like arguing this salesman, he wasn't friendly, and quite frankly I was exhausted from moving/flying. I ended up picking a car that was just on their lot (which is fine). I am a high energy person and I was excited about buying a new car, however the salesman was not great at customer service and completely set a negative tone through out the process. We went through the process of filling out the paper work and putting money down, they handed us the keys and we were out the door. We gave them a pretty painless, quick and easy sale regardless of their service. They missed a few paper work details and text messaged me to screen shot a house bill to prove residency. Again- I didnt think twice and sent it back. Two days later, I recieved another text saying that I needed to come in, they forgot to have me sign a paper and I needed to bring a bank statement with my address on it. I called back right away to schedule a time to come in. I took my lunch break to stop over and do it. When I got there, I was told I needed to wait 30 minutes because they were with another customer. Also I mentioned this was really inconvenient, and the salesmen was not understanding and rudely replied to me that I was wrong. I waited, filled the paperwork out and left (and I gave them a bank statement as requested). Two days later, I get ANOTHER text message stating that they needed my bank statement and proof of residency. He asked me to screen shot my bank statement through text. Are you kidding me? First off, I repeatedly asked them the prior week to not text me. This is a business. Send me a letter or call me. Second, it is completely ridiculous to ask a customer to screen shot their bank statement. Third, what happened to the information I already gave you?! Also, they knew I just moved and although I bought a house, it will take a few weeks before all my residency is approved and settled. At this point, I've had the car for almost 2 weeks and have been hassled several times through text messaging from both the car salesman and the admin. Fed up, I called the dealership to speak to them about what else they needed from me and notified how frustrated I was about the lack of organization and unprofessionalism that was taken place. I was completely ready to just give the car back. Not once did I feel like my business was appreciated, or that they were understanding about how unprofessional and poorly treated I was. They have made no effort to reach out regarding their poor service and lack of professionalism. My husband and I have both purchased and leased cars in the past, we have never been treated this way or had a process this painful. I am completely unhappy with their customer service and I do not look forward to dealing with them in the future. I understand things happen and paper work sometimes gets misplaced, however I was treated so poorly that it made this entire situation so negative for me. read more

Ordered a new Canyon pickup back in late August. Told 2-6 weeks for delivery. Waited. At 6 weeks, asked about status...was told that the only information they had was the order was accepted. Subsequently found on the GMC website, a chat that would tell you where you are with your order. Went back to Beaman to get the order number where they told me they didn't have an order number...because they never ordered it. They said they would work with GMC to push me to the head of the line...I said no, I would work with another dealership. Really GMC, this is your representation? Fortunately, the new Ford F 150 is now out and I will check them out before going any further. No response from GMC by the way. read more

Beaman GMC Service Center labor rates are high but the service is impeccable. You get what you pay for - I have tried other repair centers to escape the high dealership labor rates but have suffered in the long run due to poor work completed by inexperience mechanics. Thank you! read more

I took a van in for servicing here - the works, detailing, cleaning, check everything - and was extremely pleased. The gentleman in charge of my work was attentive, pleasant to deal with, and thorough. We also own a Prius purchased from Beaman and have been impressed with the overall quality of service and pricing. One caveat. I got a ride home that morning with one of their drivers - two passengers in the vehicle. At the first turn, he neglected to use his turn signal. That always makes me nervous, so when he didn't bother on the second turn (off Wedgewood onto 12th, a fairly big and busy intersection), I said something like "Just out of curiosity, why aren't you using your turn signal?" There was a very long silence, and then he said "Well, I don't really have an answer for that." A company as large as Beaman is, I'm sure, safety conscious - not to mention the suit they'd have been dealing with if the lack of turn signal had caused an accident and anyone in the vehicle had been hurt. So I would say that while the service people and service itself are terrific, the driver left a lot to be desired. read more

If you want honesty and quality service Beaman Automotive Service Department is not the place to go. My issues started in 2016 when I first brought my 2012 GMC Acadia Denali to them while not only under the manufacturer's powertrain warranty but also under an extended warranty. The issues were the gauges going haywire, my car not moving when pressing the accelerator, vibration during certain times of acceleration and various other things. It was brought to them three different times while still under powertrain warranty and extended warranty. All three times they told me repeatedly that nothing was wrong with it. On the third time that I brought it in and and they said they could not find the problem, they said not to worry we have record of you being in here before your extended warranty and powertrain warranty has expired so if anything goes wrong it will still get fixed. That was a bold face lie! On the 4th time bringing it into them I demanded to speak to the manager his name was Caleb. They took the car in and assured me that I would get daily updates from his service man on what they were doing....well that never happened. I was never called until I forced the issue! I sat for almost a week without transportation with four kids to tote around. I might mention that my extended warranty would have provided a rental car had this issue been fixed one of the first 3 times I brought it in. I only received a car from them because I reviewed their company once before and someone in their customer service department seen it and reached out to me, she was very polite and made them provide me with a rental car while they had mine...which ended up being for the next 3 weeks. It took them a total of 4 weeks to finally find the problem and fix it. Now mind you, all of this should have been covered by an extended warranty which did not apply now because I had run past my warrant which is why I was so adamant to them about getting it fixed before it expired. So now, I'm out over $800 when it should have cost me around $150. After finally receiving my car while at work I received a voicemail from Caleb saying that they failed to mention that the torque converter on my car was going out. Which I thought was part of the original problem but apparently it was a separate one but once again it should have been covered by the powertrain warranty or the extended warranty when I had brought it in any of the first three times. I filed a complaint with General Motors. General Motors investigated and lo and behold Beaman Automotive miraculously did not have any documentation showing that I had brought my vehicle in three prior times for this same ongoing problem. The representative for General Motors agreed with me that Beaman Automotive dropped the ball, and told me that because they had no documentation of it that they would not be able to assist in getting it fixed for me. GM asked if I had any documentation on it which I did not because all they ever did was give me a paper showing that I was there without any diagnosis of a problem. General Motors decided to give me a voucher for $2,500 towards the purchase of a new vehicle. Personally I don't think that General Motors would give me such a large amount of a voucher if he didn't think what I was saying was true. read more

We found a 2010 Journey at Cars.com. The staff was quick to answer our online questions. When we arrived to look at the car, it as already positioned for easy viewing. We were allowed to take a test drive going where we wanted and for as long as we wanted. The car was in excellent condition - looked and smelled brand new, not like a car with 25,000 miles. The staff allowed us time alone to discuss the purchase and even worked with us slightly on the price. I would recommend the staff and cars at Beaman. read more

On, Tuesday, July 1st, I called to have 3 warranty parts replaced. I was told the parts were in and the appointment was scheduled for 7am on Wednesday, July 2nd. I work about 30 mins aways so it's not convenient to bring my Acadia in but I had too - after all there was a recall, right?! Then, about a hour later after I dropped off the Acadia for the work to be completed (and after the courtesy van dropped me off at work), I was told 2 parts were replaced and the 3rd was ordered. I was shocked and asked the employee was it wasn't in stock. Then, I asked why would have the appointment been made if all the parts were not in stock. He simply said, he didn't know and he would inform his manager. This is not a good customer experience. Now, I have to go through the agony of this process all over again. Furthermore, I called yesterday (July 7) to see if the part came in and still haven't received a call back. Now, I'm finding myself having to track you guys down to get this completed. Overall and from this experience, you dealership is not well managed and there is a major issue with communication. For that reason, I would not refer anyone to your dealership. read more

On our way home yesterday, Todd and I had a little misadventure. It seems that his car battery decided that it was done with life altogether and quit when we were just blocks from my office. We got a jump from a wonderful Nashville fireman, whose name we did not get, and then proceeded a little further before the battery gave up the ghost. We managed to coast into the service department parking lot of Beaman Automotive (one of the few times that I have been grateful for Tennessee's hills and the law of gravity). After they tested the battery and determined time of death, the wonderful gentlemen of the service department drove Todd to a Firestone Store where he was able to purchase the correct battery for his Ford Focus, since they don't carry the right size for his car and installed it free of charge. They have a pizza lunch coming from us for their wonderful generosity of time and assistance. As you can imagine, still being somewhat new to the area, it would have been tough to call anyone to come and get us, especially since our Hendersonville peeps would have been 20 miles away.
