I revisited after a long hiatus, no reason...life just got busy. Although under new ownership and the extra arcade room has converted into another business, Bean and Boba has remained fabulous. The girls at the counter were very friendly, answered any questions, and were accommodating. Their milk teas contain non dairy creamer which was good with me since I try to avoid lactose. I ordered my go to I haven't had in quite a long time anywhere.... Taro milk tea with boba. What a treat! Smooth, silky, and a pretty shade of lavender. Noticed some yummy desserts behind the glass display case, perhaps I'll try at the next visit. Ample seating and board games available to play. I'll be back! read more

I've been here twice now! Once for the coffee and second time for the boba. The coffee was good, not great but I'd still stop by if I needed one on my way out of San Antonio heading south. The Boba was pretty good, I expected it a little sweeter though. The inside is super cute, they used to have an extra room for arcade games but I'm guessing they shut it out now that there's another company next to them, I wish they still had that though. They're always super nice and will walk out the drink to you if you're in drive thru or even if you're just sitting down. Will come again! read more

Yes! This place is awesome! When my Kids get bored we come here. You can play classic video games. The drinks! Lavender lemonade is my favorite. The boba is good too. Try the cherry boba in your drinks. It's a cute comfy place. We played a board game there once and we forgot we weren't home. The staff is super friendly and the drinks we had were always great! I have tried coming here quite a few times, I don't think I will be anymore. Twice I've gone and had bad experiences. One time that I had gone it took us 40 minutes to get our coffees and there was only one car in front of us and the drink I had ordered was made incorrectly. We weren't offered a refund or a discount the next time we came either for the wait nor the incorrect drink. They just remade the drink and we left. I tried coming here last week, there was one car in front of me. I waited 15 minutes before I decided to drive away just as the barista was finally bringing the car ahead of me's order. I didn't have time to wait another 15 minutes for my drink to be made. If you're not in a rush, this place is ok for coffee, I actually really like their spiced chai's but there is no sense of urgency here. read more

Was in my way to Houston from Concan and I really needed coffee. Saw this place passing Castroville, ain't ever been in this town but googled it and it's nice and quaint. The same can be said for Bean & Boba! The vibe brought me back to my childhood of gaming and anime so I felt like I belonged, my wife got the lychee peach tea with cheese foam and I got a large cold brew. Fact is... the large cold brew was about 24oz and still cost less than a 16 oz cold brew from Starbucks. I added cookie butter flavoring in it and first sip I said wow! Sad I couldn't get a pic that's how fast I drank it, but my wife's drink I was able to get! Tastes great! read more

The service was awful i ordered an avacdo toast and a lychee boba tea. They did not have any boba, and the toast took 45 min to make. The toast was old and the avacodo was brown and cold once it got to me. The place was also duty and excessively crowded with decor. read more

Have not tried the food but have tried the boba and it's really good. I recommend this place for people who like nice calm mornings and games. And for the service they're extremely nice calm people and especially quick. And I think if I had the chance to go back I would definitely go back for the boba mostly and on how good the inside looks. I was so excited when I saw the sign for coffee and Boba in Castroville. We definitely need a place like this in this town. They just opened recently. The customer service was great, very friendly family owned. They have a selection of different coffees and Boba flavors as well as bursting boba. The inside was very nice and cozy modern rustic looking. Really glad to have a Boba place close by to get my Boba fix. I ordered two Thai teas with extra Boba in it and it definitely hit the spot. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more items on their menu. Also they will be opening a drive-through soon! read more
