Came back to the Bean for that Chili Dog I couldnt get my mind off of! We came on a Sunday afternoon to listen to some local acoustical music. Excellent sound! We ordered the Chili Dog with homemade chili and cheese, a John Daly beverage which is an Arnold palmer with vodka so delicious! My partner enjoyed his Rueben Sandwich and Cold draft beer. Stopped in for a casual lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This is a no frills atmosphere with a very local vibe that has live music everyday. The staff were so friendly and it felt like we were walking into a family members house. Our food arrived quickly and everything was correct and how we expected it. Our group also had a salad with chicken and a chicken sandwich and both people commented how good it was. Nothing is fancy but the food was made fresh in the small kitchen off the dining room that the bar looks into. It was kind of a gross day so everyone was sitting inside and the musician was playing indoors as well. It seemed like a lot of regulars that knew each other and they all knew the staff. This cafe has the perfect Florida vibe. If you're looking for a unique, no frills, beach bum tiki bar kinda place this is it. They do not serve liquor but have beer and wine. The cafe has a lot of history to it from being an old post office and includes a small museum on site as well as a jailhouse. They feature live music, while we were there the music created a nice atmosphere. My 4 month old was very comfy chilling at one of the tables under the umbrellas. The food was delicious and the drinks were cold. The onion rings and BLT I had were delicious. The waitresses were very nice and got our orders correct. Great location, music and food! Servers were great, but can get a little slow at peak hours. When you pull up it looks like small parking, there is ample parking options around for the restaurant. Promise it's worth it and get the bean soup! Chairs outside are a little tough with the rocks and the plastic chairs and inside only offers a few tables...only because large tables and smaller groups primarily visiting. read more

We all ordered the Bean Depot Fish Dinner which comes with 2 sides or 1 premium side, i got the fish beer battered with fried mushrooms on the side, but i also tried their french fries and those are tasty also. You know how people say "hole in the walls" serve the best food? It's true at Bean Depot Cafe! "Hole in the wall" doesn't really do it justice, though- it has a pretty large outside eating area with live music- the ambiance is "down home Florida". Now for the food- the only picture I took was of my "Baby" hot dog- butterflied with grilled onions and cheddar cheese. Delicious! Everyone I was with loved their food- two others had the mushroom, onion and Swiss burger, one had the blackened fish sandwich, one had the Baby dog like me, and one had the Slaw dog. I gave it four stars because of minor issues with our waitress- otherwise 5 stars! read more

Great atmosphere!!! Always a great joint to stop by for a deep fried hotdogs. The chili dog is excellent with the chili having a nice after glow to it. Live music and people watching keep you occupied while waiting for your food. The staff is super friendly and want to make your experience there enjoyable. This is a bar and grill straight out of Margaritaville in the keys. Volunteer musicians play on stage for tips. Lots of nice outdoor seating and some indoor seating. After watching a Ray's spring training game we like many others decided to try a local eatery and chose this one because it was rated high and had good looking items for a decent price. FYI the prices, like in most places, have jumped about 50% of what's one their online menu, but still reasonable. This place had a room to walk into with old timey things from history to look at then had a bar with kitchen behind it and a screened indoor or out door seating. We started off by looking for a menu which we had to get from the people next to us because they weren't given to us or they weren't readily available. We sat there for well over a half hour and in that time we weren't approached once. We saw four tables get up and leave before being served and we saw them serve what seemed to be locals before us. There was supposed to be live music, they even have the line up on the wall for the week, but their wasn't any. The last straw before we got up and left was they left the screen door open and another door open which let in flies that were hovering around the table and getting into the kitchen. I'm sure on different days this place might be good or might be a local favorite, but if you're from out of town I'd skip this place. We are from now on. read more

I got the fish fry and the breading was nice and light and the fish was very fresh. My friend got the burger and chili and said they were both absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic. We both ordered burgers, my wife forgot to order her's med well. when the waitress served our drinks, why wife requested that her burger be cooked to med well. waitress responded do not worry all burgers are served med well. for my wife, she was happy, for me, I found it a little overcooked. location is nice in El Jobean. looks like a great place to stop, listen to music and have a drink read more

Just found this place today! Small parking lot but just park on the street. Indoor and outdoor seating available- we sat outside. We drive by the bridge all the time and I've always seen the umbrellas but no sign- so today we had enough time to stop and investigate! A great place! The building is a historic site and the menu has the history. There was a one man band today but looks like they usually have some type of live Music. The beer is ice cold and cheap $3.61 per bottle- I meant to ask why such an odd amount?? The food is standard fare- nothing fancy but good. But you really come for the atmosphere!!
