We came in last Friday with local friends and our friends from Ocala who love it! Three of our party ordered the fried cod and scallops and were totally pleased. Two got the Taco salads, and I ordered the Fried mushrooms and a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was ok, not the best I've had. The mushrooms were huge! I actually had to cut them in quarters to eat. The sauce served with them tasted like sour cream with a small amount of Old Bay seasoning? And not very good. The food is always consistently delicious and somewhat reasonable. The fish and chips, friend shrimp and hamburgers are a go to.

Stopped in for lunch after hearing about this spot recently. I've seen photos of their hamburgers and had to give it a shot. They aren't kidding when they say they are enormous! The burger and all the accompanying veggies were fresh and prepared well. Bang for the buck if you are craving a burger you can't go wrong. The place definitely has that old Florida vibe. read more

I ordered takeout for the family several weeks ago - a traditional Friday fish fry. What I received was far from acceptable. The fish - 3 pieces of battered fish that looked as if they had come from the freezer and were put in lukewarm oil. Very factory like versus freshly battered, and literally dripping with oil. The fries - looked and tasted like uneaten fries from a meal several days old that had spent time in the fridge. They were cold and inedible. The cole slaw - not included in the takeout box. This is my favorite seafood restaurant in the world. The grouper fish and chips is great. They have a white clam chowda that is the best I have ever had. Meals are big and the beer is cold. You can get a big fish meal and it is a good size, but I get the extra big option and get two meals out of it. One for now and the other for tomorrow. The other choices for fish or shrimp are also good, and they have the best burger around. Go early before 5:30 or the wait will be a bit long.
