Came here for lunch with my family on a Saturday right when they opened. To our surprise, we were setting up for a bingo event that happens about every other Saturday. Even though the tables were reserved, they let us sit and eat before bingo started. We got boneless wings in buffalo parm, mango habanero, and bean post bbq. We also got mozzarella sticks and potato skins. Portions were great and everything was delicious. Service was polite, although a bit slower (I assume because of the time we came). We didn't mind. Overall very good food and good atmosphere. This is the kind of place that would be great to rent for a party. I'll be back for Bingo! read more

Came here after seeing a TikTok about the place. Typical Bay Ridge classic bar setting. When we ate here the place was empty, despite that our server was not very attentive and did not seem interested in us at all. The apps were good the Mac and cheese bites & zucchini fries. Then we got wings the chicken parm ones were tasty but the chicken francese ones did not have a good taste. Overall not bad for bar food but the pricing did not align with the taste. read more

I call my self the Turkey Burger aficionado. I love Turkey Burgers!!!!!!!!! TurkeyTurkeyTurkeygimmegimmegimme! I used to live near a Circle's cafe and they also served the most delicious turkey burgers.. I always ordered it in a pita with red onion, fries and their oil and vinegar dressing was to die for. Yes, their oil and vinegar could not be beat. Circle's closed, I moved to Shore Road and had to do heavy duty investigating to find another place that had delicious turkey burgers. One night I took a chance on Bean Post Pub and eight years later I'm still ordering from them. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE DELICIOUS! And what a bargain! For $15 I consume their generous portion of a delicious turkey burger on a fresh bun, with lettuce, tomato and red onion with mayo and a mound of shoestring fries. Yummmm! The rest of the menu is delicious pub food from mozzarella sticks, wings, hot dogs etc. I have not eaten at the restaurant only ordered delivery. My husband and I really wanted some wings and were HEAVILY influenced by a video Brooklyn Bites posted the other day and decided Bean Post Pub was where we'd have dinner tonight. We arrived around 6:45pm, the bar stools were semi full but tables were mostly empty. There is a sign that says seat yourself, which we did. We went to the back, away from the door since it is cold out. As we were going to sit, one of the employees informed us that it was dart night (no signage at all so how would we know) and we could sit in the front instead (he was nice about this). We then sat at a table near the door and it took about 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us, besides just a side eye, to get any kind of drink/food order in. The bartender came and took our drink order and we told him we were actually ready to order food as well. He looked a little annoyed but took our order anyway. We ordered 2 orders of different wings, an order of waffle fries, and an order of 3 mozzarella sticks. The bartender confirmed we only wanted 3 and not the larger order and we said yes. He walked away and about 5 minutes later, another employee (the one who asked us not to sit in the back) came by to bring our drinks and then asked us again about the wings we wanted and what sauce. He recommended I get medium instead of mild since it apparently is buffalo sauce mixed with bbq sauce this way I get a taste of the buffalo sauce. I agreed and didn't think to mention the other items we ordered because it seemed like the bartender got it all. We waited nearly a half hour and watched take out orders come and go, along with the couple near us at the bar (who ordered literally minutes before us) get their food while we sat hungry. The back dart area filled up and it seemed like the focus was on those people who seem to be regulars- which I could understand since it was "dart night". We finally got our wings and the person who brought them (not sure if he was the owner or not) apologized for the wait and asked if we were okay. We said yes but didn't mention the other items we ordered since we figured it was coming out after and figured we'd eat our wings and then our sides would come. We were not checked on again after this. We were not even offered cups of water or asked if we wanted to order anything else. The food was absolutely not worth the extensive wait or the price but the wings were decent, good cook on them and they were juicy - the bbq/buffalo sauce mixture was a little weird but I was so hungry at that point I didn't care. We never got our orders of fries and mozzarella sticks but decided not to ask, especially because they basically paid us no mind, and we also did not want to wait any longer for any more food, nor did we want to cause a scene. We contemplated telling the person that we actually did order other food but in the end it just was not worth the hassle. Save your money and go elsewhere for better service, food and prices. I really like to support small businesses and figured since I live a walking distance away to give it a try but should have just gone to Skinflints or Kettle Black. Never again. read more

Hello Yelp! I'm here to talk about the Bean Post Pub. I first tried this place around my birthday because of their super creative menu, and I've been back two more times since then. The service inside is also great too. I'm warmly welcomed in even though I'm mostly picking up food to go, and it always seems like they have a crowd in there. Sometimes live music as well Nice! The only thing I would discuss as a area of improvement would be for the Sheppard pie. This was missing veggies (typical things like peas + carrots etc) and it sort of lacked in flavor for me. Now onto the good things I've had from here: Bacon wrapped wings? YES they have BACON WRAPPED WINGS. And yes they are Amazing! They actually have many diff sauce options for wings. Have to try them all :) Also they have creative hot dogs as well :) I tried the bayou one once and it was spicy and mouthwateringly good. But the thing that I will come back for time and time again? Hands down it's the burgers for me. They are charbroiled. I love this in a burger, so I was over the moon about it. There are generous amounts of bacon. The food was so bad! We got two sampler platters and both were stale and tasteless food. The potato skins were so tough it felt like eating flip flops. I told the manager and he said it was just made. (Insert eye roll). The fried mushrooms were so slimy and gross and the onion rings were bits and pieces. They asked us if we wanted spicy or mild wings and we said plain and they served us boneless?!? That was weird. I am a regular customer at this place today. I really had to go to the bathroom. I have been in a terrible accident and I am walking with a cane and the disgusting bartender told me to get out literally said get out he saw that I had a cane and I was injured he said get out we're not opened yet and he said FU how despicable! I will never give my money to such a disgusting establishment ever again if this is the way they treat customers imagine how they treat people at home. The place is full of piles of detritus -- not really garbage, just...mess? Add to it the massive Keep Christ in Christmas and Don't Tread on Me signs and it's really not a welcoming environment for anyone who isn't ... you know. I was really uncomfortable, and happy to leave when it was over. I don't really feel like I can judge the food, because my heart rate was up the whole time, making sure I wasn't in danger. Great neighborhood pub. Huge tap & bottle beer selection, pretty good grub, and always a good time. Burgers platters are substantial, and they have no problem making changes to accommodate your tastes. The wings are imho the best around. I usually go with my friends to dinner at the Bean Post Pub and I've been enjoying their food for many years but today was the first time I placed a delivery order. I ordered 2 of my favorites --- baby back ribs and the calamari. Unfortunately, instead of calling directly, I placed the order with ChowNow for an hour later delivery. The delivery was about 20 minutes after I placed the order. Ordinarily this would have been fantastic but i was expecting friends over for dinner in about an hour after I placed the order. I called and spoke with the owner Anthony. He was very nice, courteous and explained to me what happened relating to the app I used. I wasn't expecting this but he immediately offered to send out the same order right away! Wow!! Thank you very much Anthony!! I will definitely order from your restaurant again !!! This place is a hole in a wall type of place. They have a bunch of different wings to choose from, but I would go for hot, dry up was a disaster, I think that they cooked wings first and then put the rub on top, fried pickles were dead, no flavor, totally overcooked. At least they have some beer on a draft and a couple of ciders. I tried seasonal pumpkin, which was delicious and made this evening a little brighter. delivery to Home review: Just don't do it. We were in the mood for boneless buffalo wings. We ordered the medium heat sauce and wasabi ginger It was drenched, I mean DRENCHED in sauce ..I mean a pool of just sauce and the chicken drowning. Some of the buffalo chicken had uncooked flour. We also ordered the fried pickles that also had banana peppers.. but surprisingly also had fried jalapeño (extremely spicy) they were drenched in oil I could taste the oil in every bite Overall I sadly had to throw out mostly everything.
