This place gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. No, but really. I bribe myself to get to work or school early just so I can stop and grab a coffee and a bagel before I sit in 65 traffic. (Morning commuters, I know you can relate to this.) Their coffee is amazing, and I love getting the chocolate covered espresso bean with every cup, but their lattes are extraordinary. I'm addicted to their Almond Joy Iced Latte. Their bagels are fresh and toasted to perfection every time. Best of all, I love the staff. It makes it worth the few extra minutes in line to get my coffee made with care, the right way, the first time, all with a smile on their faces. There is no better way to start my day. Like a taxi driver with tips. - I have not been back to this place in a while even though it is on my way in to work. Reason is the couple of times I stopped, a guy served me. The coffee was fine, but when he went to give me back my change he did that thing that yellow cab drivers in Pittsburgh do: he held it and looked at me instead of counting it back into my hand. That hold-your-change as ransom and pretend it's an innocent thing when he is actually stalling for a large tip I am a good tipper, but when you do that to me I become a bad tipper and not a return customer. I guess I could just call him on it, I do taxi drivers. I think I expected more from a quaint little cabin that was serving me coffee. Not sure I'll go back. Update. Joy the owner reached out to me personally. She didn't think it was possible that this had happened but I'm sure that it had. She was kind and offered free coffee which I did NOT accept. I've gone back twice now and nobody treated my change badly or acted weird about a tip. I hope that Joy speaks to all of her servers at training time about this and that it does not reoccur at that nice little coffee stop. I will be going back again now that I've brought this up and I think it helped. read more

This coffee shop is absolutely adorable. I drive by every morning and today I finally stopped because traffic was light. The young lady managing was absolutely adorable. She was super sweet and very peppy and had a great recommendations for me! I purchased one of the flavored lattes I believe it was cinnamon and brown sugar or maple brown sugar. It's very good! The prices were a little high on the coffee I got but probably worth three shots of espresso that are in it! read more

We frequently stop here and generally enjoy their coffee. From time to time the people working there have their face mask down below their noses. Yesterday though was the worst. Both women working had their masks under their chins the entire time they waited on us. I should have canceled the order and drove away. Others should know this is how careless they operate. I love BeanThru!!! It's so convenient that their Bellevue location is right along 65. The staff is super sweet and I love that they have a punchcard system. My absolute favorite is when they have the shack wrapped in colorful Christmas lights. :) The drinks and flavors are delicious - my favorite is a Red Eye with cream and sugar. I recently tried the Eggnog Latte which felt like a warm hug and wasn't too sweet. Their baked goods are also yummy - the muffins are the best! The reason for my 4 stars rather than 5 is that when I get a bagel here, they always just slap on the cream cheese haphazardly, and the amount is always inconsistent. Not really a big deal but when I pay extra for cream cheese on a bagel I want it to be smeared on nicely. Definitely a gem around the Bellevue area - I'm a frequent flyer with no plans of stopping! read more

This is my go-to coffee shop on my way to work. The service is always friendly and quick! If they are busier, staff speed up the ordering process by coming to your car. I typically get there iced beverages and they are always great. An added bonus is all coffees come with a chocolate covered expresso bean. Listen: this would be 10 stars if possible! Fantastic coffee, cappuccino and a.m./afternoon slump cures, including a killer brewed redeye that cured my LA-NYC-PIT globe trotting jet lag! The real bonus here, (aside from bitching awesome biscotti and those adorable chocolate covered espresso beans you put on my cups lids-could we all kiss the face of the Java GENIUS who thought of that!!), is the PEOPLE! This place hires THE BEST people! I've only ever encountered genuine smiles and have never seen that grouchy "Ihatethisjob" look you get a virtually every coffee spot, (especially drive throughs!). Never. Always pleasant! Like they're actually happy, nice people! (Are they are like yoga instructors?! Is there a secret spa in that shack?! So chill! They definitely use quality beans, are quick, super friendly (which is always nice, but certainly a plus if you haven't had your morning fix) and always appreciative of even a $0.75 tip (the balance from a $2.25 large). There's nothing like a special coffee drink to rev up my day before getting to work downtown, and BeanThru is conveniently located on my commute. The first time I went to BeanThru, I attempted to order an iced Caramel Macchiato, one of my regular drinks from Starbucks. The Barista told me they were out of caramel syrup and asked me if I wanted to try it with another flavoring. I decided to go with hazelnut flavoring and caramel drizzle. The drink was no disappointment - it really hit the spot! Definitely on the sweeter side, but that's what I was anticipating. The barista was friendly and apologized for being out of the syrup, but after tasting the drink I was glad they were! I think it's so cute that they put a chocolate covered espresso bean on the lid of each drink. A really special/unique treat that I've not seen from other coffee places. Now that I know that BeanThru exists and is delicious I will be giving it more support than Starbucks. read more

Love the BeanThru. The staff is so friendly and if there is a long line of cars-they even come outside to take your order and get it started. I usually go for the peppermint mocha or the oreo mint drinks. Their whipped cream is also top notch-it has such a great flavor to it. I have never been disappointed when trying something new here. Also, they offer biscotti and other treats as well. Red velvet biscotti to be exact-so tasty!
