I wanted to enjoy a nice Summer day by playing some mini golf and I saw that Shell We Golf had good reviews. I decided to give it a try and boy do I wish that I never did. With that being said, the guy that works here is an absolute miserable person. To explain, I went to pick up a scorecard and he flipped out. He yelled and said that "he was the only one allowed to touch the scorecards". This is a mini golf course, not the Masters. Furthermore, he wouldn't let you pick your own club so my club was way too short for me. On top of that, he let way too many people on the course at once and it was impossible to move. It took almost two hours to finish the course. Also, when I was in the middle of a hole, the guy came out with leaf blower and was holding everyone up. Just an unbelievable experience. In the same manner, the course itself was not good. To clarify, the course was extremely hilly and the greens were uneven. The golf balls would just roll by themselves. In addition, the course was only designed for right handed players. There were several holes where you couldn't even hit as a lefty due to trees and bushes. It was simply a poorly designed course. In all, Shell We Golf is one of the worst mini golf courses that I've ever played due to poor design and rude employees. read more

Great time here. Was looking for something fun to do and saw that this place was closeby our hotel right on the main highway (US-1/Coastal Highway) and had consistently good reviews. they are co-loctaed with their Sea Shell Shop which is a huge souvenir shop with tons of trinkets. You'll have to go there if you want to use your credit card to play golf...otherwise you can use cash to pay at the golf counter. Golf prices are $10 per person...children 3 and under are free. You are given a club, ball and score card. The 19-hole course is well maintained...the grounds were clean and all of the decorations were functioning as they should. While we did have to wait a few minutes on some of the more difficult holes whiles the groups ahead finished, it wasn't too bad. The difficulty level throughout was very fair...enough that most people, including children, could complete the course. There are benches along the way so you can sit while you wait. The single staff member at the front counter was super friendly and helpful. Large parking lot. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for something fun to do in the area. $10 per person, for 19-holes in a high-tourist location is extremely reasonable in my opinion. read more

While this is a creatively designed and well maintained course, it took us about 100 minutes to get through it. The gentleman running the front desk (owner?) allowed too many groups in at once, resulting in a huge traffic jam. And there was one group of college kids horsing around and taking forever to play, which made it worse. The manager/owner should have taken charge and asked that group to move along or let others play through. While we were there, several groups bailed out because it was taking too long. We had our elementary aged kids with us who never could have handled us just bailing without serious protests, or we too would've left. Also, just know ahead of time that for a miniature golf course, this one is challenging and a bit frustrating. Many of the putts end up being uphill, and not a single hole is without sizeable bumps. It's a very hilly course. I kept wondering if the next hole would be smoother, but nope. If you have no time constraints and want to be challenged, this is your place. If we had known it would take so long, we would have gone someplace else. read more

Top notch mini golf! You know it's good when your 5 year old daughter asks to go about once a month and when on vacation almost every day lol We have been going here for over 7 years and always have a good time. The greens are well maintained, and the surroundings are beautiful. You can see from the pictures there are water hazards, a volcano, plants and flowers and more! We love coming to play mini golf here and will be back again soon! A must do attraction at Rehoboth. This mini golf is right along busy route 1 and isn't a cheap attraction, but something that is a rite of passage at Rehoboth. Make sure to bring your sun hat. Bottom Line: A challenging miniature golf course beneath a canopy of trees. My husband and I initially visited Shell We Golf on a cool October Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival I was glad to see it wasn't too busy and that the employee was disinfecting the golf clubs. I was a little weary of playing miniature golf during the pandemic but overall felt good about our experience on the course. The course is fun but challenging. The rim around the cups on some of the holes seemed a little wonky which just added to the challenge but at times also to my frustration. My favorite holes were #12 and #19. Hole #12 has a stream that you hit your ball in and then the stream carries it back to the putting green. My ball seemed stuck in an eddy for awhile so it really built up the suspense. And I liked #19 because I got a hole in one on this bonus hole and won a free round of golf which I redeemed the next day. We played our initial round on a cool day and our second round on a pleasant morning but I couldn't help but notice this is a shady course which I'm sure is very welcomed in the summer. Aside from holes #8 to #11 there is a decent amount of tall trees and other shade structures to help reduce the intensity of the summer sun. We liked this course enough that we played it two days in a row and overall it was a good time. read more

Man was this great! We had eight of us so it worked well to split into two groups. Lots of shade and some well placed benches. The kids had a blast and the parents did too. Kids 3 and under are free which helps. Not sure what other places charge but it was fun. Free taste of fudge after as well! The air conditioning felt amazing when you go inside the gift shop afterwards. Plenty of parking. Also the man working the spot where you get balls and putters was super! seriously worn out. everything is in disrepair. the water features are all bone dry and paint is peeling off of everything, shells are broken, wires exposed, it's just really depressing and sad. they also don't space out groups so it gets crowded, even in the off season. really just not worth the money ($10 per person). read more

Very cute mini golf course. This was our second time playing it, and the course is nicely maintained. A few of the holes can also be challenging. We were in a 5-person group with some older folks, so the benches along the way gave a nice place to sit if we needed to. Shell We Golf is a well maintained 18-hole putt putt / miniature golf course great for kids, teens, and adults. Admission is $10/person, credit card payments are accepted inside the gift store. There were tons of people here and the queue to play moved pretty quickly. Took around 45 mins to complete the course. The course is a good mix of challenging yet achievable putt putt greens. I would highly recommend this place, if you need to keep your kids entertained in the evenings. read more

The areas at the end of each hole were uneven, so often all the balls would end at the same space. We would hit the ball toward the hole and it would roll back down to the brick. The course had entertaining surroundings and a good price, but the course itself was frustrating since wherever you hit it, it ended in the same spot. read more

This place is super cute, its attached to a really cute little gift shop, then you come outside and the music is blasting (they were playing reggae when we were there) and I was jamming the WHOLE TIME! Shell We Golf is a lot of fun, and my teenage cousin enjoyed an afternoon there with me. It is located on the outside of The Seashell Shop, so we decided to explore the shop, then purchase mini-golf tickets. It was $20 for the two of us to golf the second weekend in June. The shop is crowded without people, so keep that in mind if going in. Mini-golf is self paced, so the only hold-up is if there is a large or slow crowd in front of you. We encountered a few waits but it wasn't bad. The mini-golf range is dated, but has a lot to look at and some seating outside so it wasn't a big deal. The weather was hot but not scorching so I think that also helped; had it been over 90° I don't know that we would have been pleasant waiting. At the end of your golfing, you hit the ball into a collection hole and turn in your clubs. You can go back into The Seashell Shop for a free sample of fudge. Overall it's a good time, has free parking, and is not too in the middle of the Rehoboth Beach traffic (which you will sit in and pay for parking if you go mini-golfing on the boardwalk). read more

I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because two holes had issues where the ball would go into a hole but couldn't come out due to some water issues in the holes. Standard mini golf right off of the highway. The island theme and was the most interesting aspect of the mini golf as each hole had a little story and some fun facts. The overall course was not too challenging and each hole was pretty undistinguished, which made it quick to complete and less entertaining. I've lived in this area my whole life, and this place has a lot of nostalgia for me. I came tonight for the first time in years and was extremely disappointed.... The place is falling into disrepair. One light was flickering so bad it made it difficult to see. For $10 per person you know they have the money to get it done.... They really do nothing to manage the line or wait either. For two people it took us 2 hours to make it to the 11th hole... we ended up sneaking through the trees to leave early because we were over it. We golfed in the heat of day but it felt great because the majority of the course is shaded by trees or umbrellas. The course was well taken care of; even the water was clear and treated. The course was creative and appropriately challenging, with funny signs and plenty of trash cans along the way. The pencil and score sheet they provided were even quality products. Our only complaint was having to walk inside their store to buy our round of golf since we were paying with card; we waited forever and the pirate at the store entrance was annoying. I love this place. all of the courses are beach themed, and it is beautiful. there is island music that plays while you golf, making it feel more like an island of some sort. the holes are pretty difficult, but fun. the only thing I had a problem with is how crowded it was. there was a lot of waiting just to get to a single hole. otherwise, it was fun. after golfing, we got ice cream at "Shell We Eat Ice Cream?", and it was good ice cream, but the cones seemed a bit stale.
