Located in madang courtyard, beard papa serves excellent sweets with great service. The (presumably) owner was friendly and gave good recommendations. Appreciated the warm and welcoming service! Got an original cream puff with flavor of the month filling (horchata for Aug) and a honey butter cream puff with vanilla filling. Both were flaky and delicious, and I loved the horchata filling! Didn't ask but I'm sure they provide validation for the mall parking lot. The location has a few tables but it's mostly a take out type of place. Easy parking, great dessert, and friendly service, what more can you ask for? Definitely recommend visiting this beard papa :)

Really good location. I love how quick the service is, and the food and drinks were made to order. I enjoyed the experience as a whole and would definitely come back whenever in the area. Doesn't disappoint!

My review is based on a delivery order we placed since we were craving something sweet. We ordered papas faves mixed 6pk and 1 churro. The mixed pack was limited since we placed our order in the evening. So we got green tea, chocolate, orea cookies and cream, strawberry, and 2 honey butter. They were all nicely packaged when delivered. The eclairs are limited in the type of filling: vanilla, green tea, and chocolate. Eclairs were fluffy and crumbled nicely when bitten in to, and the custard was smooth. Personally, I would have preferred it to be sweeter. But if you enjoy subtlety, this is the spot.

Amazing puffs. Even the mini ones are excellent. I love it when the shell is crispy. I could eat beard papa's puffs everyday.

Overall these puffs are okay. They're light and not too sweet which is good. But sadly they aren't very fresh as there is a ton of cream puffs that sit out and just wait to be ordered without any telling of how long. I also wish they had more filling flavors, they only had two - chocolate and vanilla - which can get repetitive. I ordered the churro and dark chocolate options. The chocolate cream was really good, rich and chocolatey. The churro coating was a bit too sweet and luckily the custard mellowed it out.

Beard Papa has some solid cream puffs! The filling isn't too liquid and is creamy enough where it reminds you of soft serve. It is in the heart of Ktown so it is hard to find street parking but you can park underground at the Hmart and should be fine! The service was great and the staff were very friendly. This Beard Papa is tucked a little bit behind the street entrance so make sure to keep your eyes peeled when walking by. It seemed fairly clean for a Ktown location so I was happy with that.

What a treat indeed. The guy working up front did such a great job explaining everything to me as it was my first time. My favorite part about his explanation was how he thoroughly went over the fact that certain filling flavors do not go with certain cream puffs. Upon his suggestion, I got matcha fillings s on both puffs, one original and the other honey butter. It was a bad idea trying to eat one in my car. One bite all over the place. The only con is that parking in the area is super sus.

Okay, so I heard about Beard Papa's , but I have never tried this pastry shop. So, I embarked on a journey to Koreatown to try the much talked about eclairs and mini pastries. Upon entering, I was greeted hello from a very nice gentleman who walked me through the different choices and combinations of eclairs. I chose the standard eclair with matcha filling and the green tea eclair with green tea filling. Both had just enough flaky outside in the texture of the eclair while giving an almost ice cream like texture inside with the filling. Such a refreshing contrast when taking a bite!!!! The store was very clean when entering and was a nice temperature as well!!! There really wasn't inside sitting, as I take it that this place is an "order and go" type situation. As for location it can be tricky to find. When coming to Koreatown to Beard Papa, make sure you park in the parking lot garage because IT'S FREE!!! When going to the garage enter in on the Manhattan Place side not Western!!! They will validate with purchase. The store is located two doors down from Paris Baguette and in between Cosmetic World and a boba store! You can also park at the metered parking lot on Western and walk up the ramp and it will be on your left next to a Boba place. Overall, Beard Papa is a pleasant surprise! My only recommendation is that hopefully one day they will have a gluten free option. When visiting, I personally recommend the ube, green tea, or regular eclair with matcha filling, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the flavors!!!!!!

When i saw the sign advertising the honey and butter cream puff I was intrigued and had to stop into Beard Papa's to try one. OMG it was SO good! Sweet but not too sweet. I would definitely pop into Beard Papa's again to get another one. The gentleman behind the counter was also super nice

I love this chain!! I wish we had one closer to us but they all seem to be in the downtown area or at least a 30 min drive from us. :( please bring one to the SF valley! Unless there is one that I don't know of LOL. Delicious cream puffs, always fresh and perfect temperature. I like their regular cream puffs but the ones with a layer of chocolate on top is that good but of extra if you want something on the sweeter side. It's not super sweet which I like! Service is great and quick. It's a small shop but clean which is how it should be! Looking forward to coming back. IG: @ammysalamii

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Prices $ ($5 under) Bread papa! It's been a while since I ate them and it taste just like the same that I remember! The shop is right on the entrance to the H Mart plaza and you cannot miss it. We ordered the Oreo and the S'mores puff with chocolate filling. It taste like a chocolate heaven for a second! The puff was crispy on the outside and when you bite into it, the filling inside will burst unexpectedly. I just wish I has bought more!

churro cream puff w vanilla filling. so good! thank you sam and maria and the amazing employee who closes on thursdays!

I had the most amazing experience at this place. There was incredible customer service. First off, it's in a somewhat hard to find section of the Koreatown mall, and the employee was so helpful that he came out of the store to bring us into the shop. the shop was incredibly clean and filled with many varieties of cream puff. It's very affordable and we had prompt and professional service. I ordered a vanilla churro cream puff and everything was very fresh all the way until close- we arrived at 8:56 pm. when I returned home, I was disheartened to discover that my cream puff had been filled with chocolate, to which I have a small allergic reaction. I gave it to my friend, and he said it was the most delicious dessert he had ever consumed in that part of Los Angeles. So we decided to go back and try our luck to get a proper order. when we arrived the following week, we referenced the issue and spoke with the manager, Steve, as well as maria, who were both very communicative and helpful and friendly. Maria even went as far to change her gloves to protect me from ipossible reaction. Was delicious and we ate the entire vanilla cream puff right on the spot. This company is very dedicated to their delicious quality product and they have something unique that you cannot find anywhere else. I think this place is amazing and you should definitely go there if you are in Koreatown! Attached our photographs of the cream puff, the Japanese donut and their special Matcha cream puff.

Spot on shells, light cream custard, and beautiful presentation. These cream puffs are so delectable and perfect for sharing. The owner and staff take great pride in their business and it truly shows in the cream puffs. They are also very kind & generous. The owner offers parking validation if you park in the structure. :) We will be back to support this business and enjoy their pastries!!

The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. Almost all of our pastries were ready before we had even left the kiosk, which was great! I went with the mango and the peach, both of which were fantastic! The peach shaped and was forgettable Pros: - The cakes are very very cute and amazing to look at - Shop inside had a few tables. It seemed like most were just couples or a few friends sharing - Kiosk ordering do no need for human interaction if you don't want it Cons: - I really hated that the flavors did not match up to the cake shapes. I think I liked the lemon shaped one the best because it has the most citrusy passionfruit flavor. But when I break into the mango shaped cake, I expect a strong mango flavor. If the flavors were not going to match, I would've much rather like it if the cakes were in different shapes like a cute cartoonish animal, or smiley face, or a daisy. Some shape that I wouldn't associate with flavor - I also wasn't a huge fan of the flavor combos. I feel like they were really trying to go out there but often times the fruit flavors used didn't really match up with the tea or nut flavors. The flavors were not balanced at all, often just very muddled with one flavor either being too strong or not strong enough, or interfering with a fruits flavor. Some of the cakes were floral tasting from tea or almost slightly savory. The cakes are not sweet at all. Maybe I was just unlucky and tried the worst flavors. Again the lemon shaped one was the best because passionfruit flavor was sharp enough to cut through the other flavors - Parking is street and can be hit or miss - Expensive - I ordered a drink and I don't see it on the menu, or I just can't remember it. That's how different it was. I do remember thinking it was so sweet Would I go again? Absolutely not
