Purchased from Uber eats on 5/11/23. The dessert is GREAT!! But the white cream that's inside of what looks like all of the dessert is not good. And it's a bit overbearing, for a pastry to be small/medium size there is way too much filling and it eliminates the actual taste of the pastry. Everyone doesn't want filing. Maybe change it so that the filling is optional, you can charge extra for it as well, and maybe offer alternative fillings. I love Beard Papa! I've been hooked on their cream puffs ever since I lived in San Francisco. So, when I saw the Beard Papa shop in the plaza I had to have a taste! It seems that since the last time I ate here they've expanded their varieties of cream puffs. You no longer have just a plain cream puff shell to choose from, you can also opt for cookie covered, eclair (Chocolate covered), Paris-Brest, or croquant to name a few shell varieties. There will always be a vanilla flavor filling, and a daily special filling. The special for our day was peanut butter. We opted for a cookie coated shell with vanilla filling. The taste was like at the SF locations. Crunchy light shell with rich creamy vanilla filling with real vanilla bean in it. They have about 3 regular flavors ( Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) and a few monthly flavors that pop up every now and then. I usually get the mini ones since it's bite sized and easier to eat. The reason for 3 stars is because they supposedly have different flavors of cream for different days of the week. I've never tried it... Every time I go there, they ONLY have the regular cream. Attempted a handful of time by going there at different times to try the different flavors but it's never available. On Tuesdays, its usually always Green Tea. I got some and they were kind of soggy though I had them not too long after I purchased it. The owners are super nice and really care about their product and their customers. All Covid-19 protocols are followed.
