I came later in the day so the selection wasn't as plentiful and fresh! But I love this chain as of this year, so I had to grab something when I stumbled onto this 85 Degree Bakery in Koreatown. Nice displays, the decor and customer service can both be improved. The place is too spare for me, folks could be friendlier. Got savory pastries to go (garlic and bacon) and some egg tarts. Delicious! Prices are in the middle. No outdoor seating, just inside. Not my favorite location, but glad I checked it out!

I'm not much of a cake guy, but after sampling a series of 85's different options -- Red Velvet, Black Forest, Mango and Tiramisu -- I am very nearly sold. The cakes from this Asian bakery are lighter, and not as rich or sweet (or sticky) as your usual Western offerings so for me they're a n easier way to indulge. I hear their breads are good too. This location is well laid out, plenty of room and good light, with helpful servers. (PS, My fave was the Red Velvet)

This 85 degrees location is located on the corner of a high-traffic shopping center. I believe this location pretty clean and fully stocked for that reason alone. The bread is fresh and their drinks are delicious. The staff are business oriented and willing to answers your inquiries. In this picture, I ordered their brown sugar iced latte.. not only does it look great but it tasted great too! I usually stop here once a week to pick up treats with my work bestie. PS: There is street parking in front of the store or you can opt for the structure parking around the corner. Either way, it's worth the stop :)

Silvia (Sil) was very helpful and greated us with a beautiful smile. She informed us of the hot sandwiches. This was my 1st time coming here. I ordered a strawberry Danish and milk tea boba. Looks like this will be a new spot for me.

I've been to 85°C Bakery in Koreatown a couple of times now, and Sylvia has helped me both times. She is always so kind, patient, and welcoming. It is really nice being helped by someone who has such good energy and makes the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable. She leaves such a great impression and is definitely one of the reasons I will keep coming back

Checked out this spot and it did not disappoint. I ordered the tiramisu cake, a croissant and a milk tea. Everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the place had a really chill and quiet vibe. Definitely recommend.

Seriously, Starf*cks is over, amirite? Why would anyone still go there when you can order a massive variety of edible sweet or salty pastry snacks for $2-$3 - today! - still! - in this economy! Accompanied by drink prices that top out at StrFks lower end prices and are far more creative, delicious and varied! Gedouddaheyah! 85C is the shizzle!

Vietnamese coffee with a mountain of taro powder at the bottom separated by boba! ‍‍

Just asked for my usual Vietnamese coffee add Taro and boba and the barista there made my drink horrendously wrong. And when I asked to have the drink fixed he said this is the way we make it and handlled me my drink and continued to call the next order! I then proceeded to go back to the counter to speak to the cashier to tell her I wanted my drink remain and then someone else dipped and remade my drink and forgot all the modifications but I don't tolerate attitudes like that especially when you can tell that it's visually a mountain of powder at the bottom of my drink separated by the actual liquid. Listen bro, if you don't want your job just apply somewhere else. The world is hard enough dealing with rude people and I was being nice!

Heard so much about this bakery chain... it's been on my bookmark list forever. Was walking the area and stumbled upon here and had to immediately go in. Very cute. Was interested to see how West Coast Asian bakery offerings were compare to East Coast NYC's Asian bakery options. Noticed they didn't have some of the classics I'm used to. And everything is a pineapple bun? Unique flavors and cute packaging (some would say wasteful?). With the packaging, how can I be sure it's fresh fresh? They have a cute tote bag so I had to buy it! Great souvenir for myself hahaaa They have kiosks to place drink orders and such. Everything looks pretty and cute. Very large and spacious bakery with some seating available for your coffee date

This location is smacked right in the heart of Ktown. So it is very accessible and easy to get to, parking on the other hand can be a head ache. There's no set parking lot so everything is street parking, again if you can find any. They have a kiosk right up front for you to order drinks and they can be prepared while you shop for your baked goods. The food is all individually wrapped which I like so no one is touching things and putting them back. They also have a case with pastries that require to be kept cold so you'll need assistance with those. The ladies that helped me out today were so nice and helpful. Took the time to recommend their fav drinks. I ended up getting a mango green tea and a strawberry matcha latte. Both were so good and not too sweet which I always appreciate. The dining room seating area could have used a bit of a clean up. Other than that great place to stop for something sweet!

We've seen all the viral fruit pastries online, and were so excited to try them. When we got in, we were able to see all of the options on display and they had a big menu telling you exactly what was in each one. You order off of a kiosk, which makes it incredibly easy to order. Almost all of our pastries were ready before we had even left the kiosk, which was great! I went with the mango and the peach, both of which were fantastic! The shortbread cookie underneath both was delicious, the mango mousse and filling tasted so fresh and amazing. The peach had an Earl Grey cream and fresh peach chunks as well. Both were in the classic white chocolate shell. These are so cute, fun to eat, very refreshing, and not overly sweet. The shop itself is adorable, plenty of seating, great decor and the staff was super friendly and very nice! These fruit pastries have absolutely gone viral, and there's many shops that do them, but Tu Cha is hands-down, the best!

It's just tiktok hype, save the time and get dessert somewhere else…read more What I ate: - Lemon shaped was probably the best of the flavors I tried. I also like the mango shaped one. The peach shaped and was forgettable Pros: - The cakes are very very cute and amazing to look at - Shop inside had a few tables. It seemed like most were just couples or a few friends sharing - Kiosk ordering do no need for human interaction if you don't want it Cons: - I really hated that the flavors did not match up to the cake shapes. I think I liked the lemon shaped one the best because it has the most citrusy passionfruit flavor. But when I break into the mango shaped cake, I expect a strong mango flavor. If the flavors were not going to match, I would've much rather like it if the cakes were in different shapes like a cute cartoonish animal, or smiley face, or a daisy. Some shape that I wouldn't associate with flavor - I also wasn't a huge fan of the flavor combos. I feel like they were really trying to go out there but often times the fruit flavors used didn't really match up with the tea or nut flavors. The flavors were not balanced at all, often just very muddled with one flavor either being too strong or not strong enough, or interfering with a fruits flavor. Some of the cakes were floral tasting from tea or almost slightly savory. The cakes are not sweet at all. Maybe I was just unlucky and tried the worst flavors. Again the lemon shaped one was the best because passionfruit flavor was sharp enough to cut through the other flavors - Parking is street and can be hit or miss - Expensive - I ordered a drink and I don't see it on the menu, or I just can't remember it. That's how different it was. I do remember thinking it was so sweet Would I go again? Absolutely not

2/8/2026 ATELIER…read morePETITES Taken from Dōmi website: "Atelier Petites are individually crafted, single-serve mousse cakes designed with the precision and balance of fine-dining desserts. Each piece features smooth, sculptural finishes, layered flavors, and seasonal components--elegant in appearance and delicate in texture." Each cake serves one and is 2.75" in size. Love that there were mini versions of these mousse cakes. All of the glazes were done well and the cakes were moist. Earl Grey Strawberry - Light Earl Grey and strawberry flavor. However, I prefer the Jasmine and Strawberry combo. The Earl Grey Strawberry combo did not taste harmonious like the Jasmine Strawberry. The glaze is beautiful. Not only aethetically-pleasing, but the light jelly-like consistency, creamy and smooth glaze brings a beautiful texture. The cake is moist, but you mostly get the glaze. It is a mini-cake, but you can taste everything in one bite. It is small enough where you can eat it by yourself or share with someone if you want half. Sobacha - Good nutty flavor of sobacha, buttery flavor at the end. Yet still light texturally. Overall beautifully done! Hojicha - Beautiful, strong hojicha flavor. Any hojicha lover would love this! Espresso Cookie Butter - Really good strong flavors of the biscoff. But did not detect nor taste any espresso flavor anywhere. Matcha - Light in matcha flavor. Vanilla sponge cake. Buttery flavor at the end. Chocolate Black Sesame - Very strong black sesame flavor. Has a caramel layer between. Buttery, nutty deliciousness! However, I prefer the signature cake slab version. Favorites: Espresso Cookie Butter, Hojicha, Chocolate Black Sesame. SIGNATURE CAKE SLABS Taken from Dōmi website: "Cake Slabs are sliced portions of our signature whipped ganache cakes, crafted for effortless enjoyment without compromising on quality. Each slab features soft, balanced layers finished with light whipped ganache made using Valrhona chocolates--refined, indulgent, and true to our fine-dining-inspired approach to cake." Before consuming always bring to room temperature or the swiss meringue buttercream will be hard and the cake will be a bit more dense. Yuzu - Very good yuzu curd with light tartness and sweetness in balance. Creamy buttercream. Vanilla cake was soft and moist. London Fog Birthday - Love the overall look! Moist vanilla cake. Light Earl Grey flavor in cake. Vanilla buttercream is thick and creamy. Overall tastes like light Earl Grey. Love the rainbow sprinkles throughout the cake! Chocolate Black Sesame - The black sesame whipped ganache and vanilla buttercream is so good! Moist, rich cocoa cake. Not dense like the last time I've tried it. The thin layer of caramel between the cocoa cake really brings the nutty black sesame and buttery caramel flavors together. Without the dark, buttery caramel flavor, this cake would not be as fantastic as it should! The cocoa cake was slightly dry when eaten separately, but with the buttercream, I could not tell and it was delicious! Hazelnut Blood Orange - Tasted a bit of hazelnut flavor. Cannot detect the blood orange. Had to double check my order to see if I got the right cake. Can only taste cocoa cake. A little bit of deep tea flavor or caramel. Hard to detect. Some kind of dried yuzu or blood orange peel on top. It was a bit hard and unpleasant to chew on. This was my least favorite. Favorites: Chocolate Black Sesame, London Fog Birthday. I'm glad I've got to try both types of cakes, but I love the signature cake slabs! They do have a…read morepick-up location in downtown LA in the Arts District, but they do occasionally venture out to the public at Farmer's Markets or special events. I placed my order online on their website, which was a seamless process. You choose the cake you want (options and flavors are always changing), choose a pick-up date and time, and pay online. You will get a text or email (depending on the option of communication that you choose), the owner will message you to confirm the order and provide pick-up instructions. There's limited free street parking. Once you arrive, just send them a text and they will bring out your order straight to your car ... all packaged nicely :) As for the cake itself, I ordered the a custom Pink Glazed Mousse cake with Hojicha flavor. The marbleization design of the cake was stunningly beautiful and the flavor was robust in Japanese Hochija tea flavor - just how I like it. The mousse part is where the Hojicha flavor is at and the texture was nice and smooth. I liked that it was not too sweet. The base is a thin layer of dark cocoa cake, which contrasted the Hojicha perfectly. Chocolatey and roasted tea flavor ... just warms my heart and soul.
