The place fills up quickly, so if you have more than a couple of people, I would go early or during off hours. Order at the bar and take your drinks to your seat. Be prepared to wait as there was a long line when we went on a Saturday evening. Once you get to the bar, service is quick and friendly though. Definitely decide what you want while you're in line. I personally love sours and stouts, so I ordered a flight to try theirs. They were good but nothing that really amazed me. I'm not an IPA kinda gal, but maybe you might like theirs. Came across this place when wandering Rodeo 39 Market. It's a great place to sit because you can grab a beer and bring any food you want to the bar too. I enjoyed a sour guava beer from here. To be fully transparent, I'm not a beer person and was only given a Mango Beer selection because The Huz needed a specific mug that can only be acquired through purchase. From what I could tell, this is very good beer although I would never get beer on my own since I personally don't like it. I am a new fan of the Blue Raspberry Seltzer from this Bearded Tang Brewing Company. Admittedly, I'm not much for alcoholic beverages, but I found myself immensely enjoying this place. Even though it has 6% ABV, the seltzer is very smooth and the raspberry flavor is gently present. I also love that brilliant aqua coloring in the glass too. Their mascot on the beer taps are pretty fun too. They remind me of the Cheep Cheeps fish from Super Mario's underwater level. Can't go wrong when you have a great drink in hand, sitting in a great spot in the middle of Rodeo 39, and chatting with great company around you. Looking forward to a revisit here. read more

This place in the back of Rodeo 39 is impossible to miss, since it's a longgg bar. The giant TV screen in the middle displays the rotating beer menu, and there's 2 sizes (I forget the specifics) but they're $6 & $8. They also have alcoholic slushies, if you're into that. The rotating menu has something for everyone, so it's a perfect place to stop by and grab a drink while you wait for your food. Plus, you can bring your drink around anywhere inside Rodeo 39. I'll probably grab a beer here every time I come to Rodeo 39 since it's so convenient. Beware though, the stage is right next to this bar, so it can get LOUD during live music nights. read more

Covid times, take out only and select beers are offered in 4-pack cans and others are offered in 32oz chug tubs. Kyle took care of us today and by the way he was working I believe he must be one of the owners or at the very least a manager. If he's not, then he deserves a raise because he was moving like he had skin in the game. We ordered a 4 pack of German Pilsner to go with our 2.5hr lunch adventure here, and before we left, we bought another 4 pack of German Pils along with two 32oz cans of the Dark Lager. Both beers are extremely accurate with tremendous balance and, for us, nostalgia. We travel to Europe twice a year every year and for obvious reasons, haven't been this year. We get our fix of European beers when we fly but this year we've been on a search for something that tastes like home, and after nothing short of over a couple dozen breweries and even more imports, we find Bearded Tang. We are very much looking forward to trying all of their beers because it all looks so interesting, and if their other creations are as balances as the two we've tried so far, then we will be very loyal customers in the future. Bearded Tang is a brewery located inside of Rodeo 39 in the middle of the market place. It attracts a lot of people and serves a variety of options: IPAs, ciders, mimosa and more. I came to try their Bestea Purple, but unfortunately, they didn't have it anymore. Since I like fruity beers more, I got the Peach Blvd. (16 oz - $7). It's a subtly tart peach and apricot wheat beer with a touch of sweetness. This was so refreshing! I like how it was sweet but still tasted like beer. My friend tried it and she liked it so much. I like the fact that you can order a drink and walk around Rodeo 39. As an adult, Bearded Tang is a must stop by when at Rodeo 39. I really enjoy how they are serving brews on tap for you to enjoy. Came here on a Thursday in November a little after 5pm and there were many workers there, so I was served immediately. So that was great! There's a lot of seating right in front and to the side of the place so you don't have to worry about walking far away to find a spot to sit down to have a drink or even potentially spilling it while holding things. The downside of the place is that you have to have a food receipt to even be able to be served. My boyfriend and I had already thrown away our receipts, so I had to go to a previous spot I ordered food at to get a reprint of our receipt. Once I came back, one of the workers took the receipt, marked it, and kept it. The alternative is that you can order online for to-go on their website. However, it's almost double the price. For example, we got the Peach Blvd and the total came out to be $7.61, meanwhile if you order on the website it's a subtotal of $12.00. Overall, the service was very quick, and the price for a beer was great. My boyfriend loved the drink so when we come back we will be getting many of it lol. read more

I rarely if ever leave poor reviews but as someone who works in the service industry, I feel strongly that constructive criticism is critical for refinement and improvement. I was at the Bearded Tang this past Friday night, 11/19, meeting up with some friends from out of town. As per my last 2 previous trips to this bar in March and June, the service that I received from the staff was very poor, with the exception of Hannah, who is always exceptional. The bartenders and Managers are indifferent, unfriendly, inattentive, and borderline hostile. I always get the vibe here that they would prefer to be somewhere else and not helping their customers, which is a shame because the beer and food here is great. I totally understand that the service, food, and hospitality industry is challenging and may not be a good fit for everyone. And if that is that is the case, then no worries, its simply not a good fit. I want to give Bearded Tang another chance, but I simply can't, until they address and improve their customer service issues. read more

( It right next door) so for all you parents on date night this is the place to be. The beer selection is good with a little bit of everything. The brewery is the central hub of the area so you can't miss it. If you're on Beach and what to see something other than promiscuous working girls or the occasional disparaged transient. Head into this location you will not regret it. We have the best time at this brewery located on the rear of Rodeo39, the Tank'd West Coast IPA is by far my favorite IPA to date. (And I drink a lot of IPA's) As Tustin residents, we never mind jamming down the 22 and following our favorite brew master, J formerly of TBC. Today I'm enjoying thru Carlos Danger Mexican Lager that just won a Silver at GABF this past October. They keep cans on deck for to go orders and fresh crowlers on demand too!! A perfect compliment to the Rodeo 39 food court off Beach Blvd. The true hop fanatics park on the backside of Rodeo39 so they can make Bearded Tang their first stop!! Great work to J and the Bearded Tang bros! Can't wait to sample the award winning Kristal Weizen next up!!
