First off: very quick, very flexible service. I was ten minutes late-zero problem. Only has to wait five minutes for an open chair on a Saturday morning. Barber was EXCELLENT (shout out to Timothy!) very attentive to detail and great friendly demeanor. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable; nothing "cool" or "hip" or intimidating. I actually liked the international flags hanging from the ceiling! Great caring vibe from all the barbers there. Prices were decent, but the end cut and trim was clean and made my kinda balding, middle-aged self look and feel a lot more presentable and not like a bum. Went on a Saturday at around 09:00 for a haircut. Was asked if I had an appointment. I did not. They were able to seat me right away. I worked with Anthony. Anthony was a very friendly and knowledgeable person. I explained to Anthony what I wanted. He explained to me it could be done but not to cut the hair too short otherwise it would not lay right. Anthony did a great job. He was very meticulous. By the end of my haircut, there were 2 more customers waiting. Both of them had appointments. So for my next haircut, I'm going to book an appointment to avoid getting shut out in case they get too busy. The store is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I had an appointment with Mel, and there is no other way to say this: the man is a freaking artist. I have never had my beard look this good. He did not just clean it up. He shaped it, sharpened it, and made it look better than I even knew it could. He also took the time to teach me how to maintain it and keep it looking fresh between trims. While Anthony was personable and friendly, he accidentally cut the back of my ear during the haircut. He just said, "Oh, it's just a little scratch." I have a high pain tolerance, so I wasn't sure how bad it was--until I noticed he kept having to wipe blood off. There was no real concern shown--no "Are you okay?" or even a genuine apology. What really bothered me is that after my haircut, he didn't clean any of his equipment before starting the next client--even though it clearly had blood on it. Probably not a lot, but still. That's basic hygiene, and it left me feeling really uncomfortable. It's not just about the $40, though that felt steep for a simple cut with no extras like a hot towel or straight razor for a "skin fade". It's about the lack of care and professionalism. As someone with years of experience in customer service, I would never put money first--especially if I had physically hurt someone. I'd be focused on making it right and seeing if they are ok. I left feeling disappointed and uneasy. I wouldn't recommend a business that brushes off injuring a customer and shows so little concern for hygiene or customer well-being. also, I think maybe he put something over it, but he didn't mention it or even ask if it's okay to put anything on the cut. read more

Fantastic experience while in the Torrance area. Called them and asked to drop in with me and my five year old son. The got us in immediately although I would recommend booking in advance. Might possibly be the best haircut I've had ever. Was immediately greeted by both barbers, promptly asked if I've set an appointment or not and was seated rather quickly. Pretty small barbershop (only 4 haircuts possible at a time) but the haircut was fast and efficient. I asked for a low taper and a little bit off the top which took around 20 minutes. Had some small talk and my barber Mel gave some pointers about my hair specially because it was curly. Some barbers don't account for the shrinkage so it was refreshing. Very great place to go to for a haircut or beard trim. Went in there as a first time customer and was very pleased with how the barber Timothy cut my hair exactly to the picture I showed him. I got the beard trim and haircut package and it came with a hot towel, massage and shave.
