    They have a few Gf/vegetarian friendly options but the up charge is quite a lot. The ambiance is beautiful and it has an upscale feel. The food was good I enjoyed their olives, pasta, and crème brûlée. I also got quite a fun key lime flavored cocktail. I don't think the food was worth the price level though.

    Amazing food and good service. The amuse bouche they started us off on was cheese, honeycomb, and hazelnuts. It was very good and a cute bite. We tried the grilled bread plate. The bread was an olive ciabatta bread that was so delicious and some of the best ciabatta and olive bread I've ever had. The olive oil and balsamic was also very good. We also had the burrata and that was very good as well. There was arugula, butternut squash, kumquat jam, and apples on top and the combination was amazing and the perfect amount of saltiness. The cheese was soft and fresh and was great. We tried the lamb pasta and it was so good! The noodles were fresh and were clearly made well in house. The lamb had great flavor and was very tender. I would've preferred more cheese as someone who loves cheese but overall the dish was amazing and the chunks of meat were perfectly sized. The ribeye steak we got was cooked perfectly! The chilis cooked with it were amazing and complimented the steak super well. They cooked it to a perfect medium rare. Some parts of the meat felt more fatty and a bit chewy but was great overall. The polenta was also so creamy and good. I felt that overall the food could've come out hotter but not a big complaint. For desserts we had the cannolis and the rosemary citrus crème brûlée. The cannolis had a perfect shell and the cream inside was chocolate. The garnish was chocolate pearls. Everything went perfectly together and wasn't too sweet. Never had a cannoli that didn't have a mascarpone cheese filling and I really liked it. The crème brûlée had great rosemary and citrus flavor. The sugar on top was perfectly torched. Interesting presentation of it since the dish was shallow, but was amazing. Super thick and rich. We had the mezcal cocktail which was smoky and sweet and we had the gin cocktail which was super booze forward and strong but was so good. I loved the cherry at the bottom. We also got a glass in limoncello which was so good and I love that limoncello flavor. We tried the barbera and the chianti. Both went well with the steak and pasta and were decent wines. Nothing too much to say here as I don't drink wine often. The service was good and the food came out at a good pace. They were out of the lasagna, we had a reservation on a Saturday at 8 pm. Highly recommend this restaurant! Definitely probably the most high end restaurant in Golden, but worth visiting at least once!

    I wasn't aware of Bella Colibri until recently. It's def a date night spot. Their dishes are awesome! Beautifully plated and they taste amazing! The staff was amazing as well. The most memorable was this Watermelon on ricotta bread. Get this! It's so wonderfully good and different. In the appetizer section. The lasagna was described as homemade. Fruit di Mare was loaded. We had the following: Entree: 1.Fruti Di Mare *maltagliatti pasta, halibut, clams, mussels, prawns vodka red sauce 2.Lasagna Bella beef lasagna, whipped ricotta & mascarpone, parmesan, and buffalo mozzarella. Cocktails: 1.Toronto - Four Roses Bourbon / Fernet / Demerara Simple / Bittermen's Transatlantic 2.Violoncello - Los Vicenos Mezcal / Caravella Limoncello / Lemon / Agave / Bittermen's Orange Bitters 3.Bounce Back - Four Roses Bourbon / Fernet / Lemon / Pineapple / Simple / Bittermen's Transatlantic Dessert: Tiramisu-Rich & creamy layered Italian classic, espresso-dipped lady fingers, mascarpone, brandy, and amaretto. What a find! Make time for this wonderful spot in Golden! You won't be disappointed!

    We were a group of about 10 for a 6:30 pm weeknight reservation, the big table was ready and we were seated and offered water immediately. Granted it was a bit slow that night but still, a good start. And then it became spectacular. A beautiful, elegant and comfortable setting as I'd heard about. And up front I'll say, I see reviews here of bad service and other complaints, and I know even the best businesses screw up on occasion, and more often these days. They can't get, or keep, good staff - same with my company so I can really relate to that challenge. But our evening was perfect. We were recommended a very nice Chianti which we ended up polishing about 3 (???) bottles of, very happily. And a bottle of white and, well, some other drinks. Things got a little fuzzy at some point in the evening and I lost count. The food - the FOOD - amazing. An appetizer that was tomatoes and squash and, other stuff, I just know that the table gobbled up two big plates of it in no time and were all raving about it. Then, the entrees - everyone loved their food, I got the lasagna and that is a great choice! You see photos of the lasagna here from others, it was the envy of the table, a huge serving and it came with it's own special silver spatula, which for some reason I fell in love with, it was just a really fun cool touch. The cheese and pasta and sauce and meat in this dish were just amazing, but I was forced, begrudgingly, to share some bites of it with my table mates as they could see how much I was enjoying it. Next time I'll eat alone! And then two huge dessert trays, too varied to describe but all just sumptious. Especially the CANOLI, I mean seriously, just spectacular. Not overly sweet, just the right balance and a chocolate/cocoa flavor that was mouth watering, in the perfect shell. Really, really dangerously great dessert that could become habitual so, be forewarned. Anyway, yes we'll be back, I want to do the Chef's table seating, I would love to watch them prepare their amazing food and try some of their other dishes. Highly recommend.

My husband and I went here to celebrate his birthday and Father's Day this afternoon. We were promptly seated without a reservation at one of the table on the patio to enjoy the fresh air. We started off with an order of garlic knots and Italian /chicken lettuce wraps. We asked about the honey dipping sauce and were told it was on a spicy side, so we skipped paying the extra $2 for it. However, our waitress wanted us to try it, so the honey was on the house. And, boy, that honey dip sauce was indeed very spicy! And the wraps? It was delicious! Fresh cherry tomatoes with diced chicken breast and bean plus seasonings. We loved the dish and finished everything on the plate except for the 3 sauces. We ordered our main entrees after finishing our appetizers. I had the Linguini & Clams, while my husband ordered the Rigatoni & Sausage. What a disappointment my Linguini & Clams dish was to me. The lack of flavor from one of my favorite dishes made me sad. I was looking forward to it. Adding hot pepper flakes, then black pepper, and the worst was adding salt. If this dish were to be prepared correctly, I would have been happy to eat it all. However, I gave up after adding my own spices. The Rigatoni & Sausage dish? OMG, out of this world! The red sauce with the meat sauce smothering the pasta was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. I'd wished I ordered that dish, but at least I was able to try a couple of bites. When the bill came, our waitress said she took off the clam dish because I didn't like it. THIS, this! is how they gained a new customer! I'll come back and will give them my business. Thank you for treating this customer right and making sure my eating experience will be different the next time I dine here.

After entering the building, the hostess approached with a tepid "what's up." Our server acted like taking our order was a favor, and she was so eager to walk away I had to get her attention TWICE to finish ordering what I wanted (hey, can we also get an order of pepperoni rolls, HEY, can I also get an IPA). Zero attention paid to water and drinks that needed replenishing. The manager needs to pay more attention to the level of service and professionalism of the staff, a lot more. This may be why they tack on a mandatory 20% surcharge with a little lecture on the receipt about how it provides a living wage, because I doubt they'd ever get tips at that level with this style of service. Or maybe the service is that way because they don't feel any need to work for a gratuity. Under the circumstances, calling this a "hospitality" charge was just plain tacky. I didn't feel like there was any hospitality, certainly not enough to warrant a 20% fee.

    Solid 5 stars for a buffet (probably a solid 4 just as a pizza place)…read more This is our second time stopping here on vacation -- going back to Woody's was actually one of the reasons we wanted to hit Golden again. It's on the south side of the main downtown drag. It gets quite busy even at off-peak times, so there's usually a wait of some kind. Head up to the door, get on their list, and they'll call you when your seats are ready. We got a little lucky since there were only two of us and there was open bar seating -- we sat at the bar, had a beer, and did the pizza buffet from there. It's not just a buffet, either. You can order off the menu, get your own personal pizza, or do a two-slice-and-a-salad deal, which is a cheaper version if you don't want the unlimited all-you-can-eat. They also have a full-service bar with cocktails, beer, and everything else you'd want. Salad bar -- one of the best buffet-type salad bars I've found. It's not the largest -- the salad section doesn't go on for miles, it's actually a pretty small setup -- but everything is fresh and the range of ingredients is big. Fresh salads, multiple dressings, several crunchy toppings, a bunch of vegetables, black olives, peppers, and two or three different proteins to add. Really, really like it. Also included with the salad bar buffet is their beer soup -- kind of a cheese soup. I skipped it this time since I didn't want to get that full, but I've had it in the past and it's super solid. Definitely something to try on a cold day. Pizza buffet, under $20/person -- there's a window with all the pizza sitting out, usually four to six at a time, right behind where they're making and cooking them. You can walk up and request whatever you'd like -- the chefs are right there, so you can say "hey, can I get a barbecue chicken pizza?" and they'll put one together and set it in the window. The range is usually about three normal pizzas -- pepperoni, supreme, plain cheese -- and three odder ones, like a buffalo chicken or a beef barbecue cheddar. I also saw one with ricotta and prosciutto. So they're not just doing standard pies; there's a really big range to choose from. The pizza quality is good. I wouldn't call it super thin crust, and it's not super thick where the toppings are -- but the edge of the crust is a thicker, doughy handle you can grip and gnaw on, and it's very tender and flavorful. If you're a crust eater, you'll like this crust, and you can dip it in sauces or dressings from the salad bar. Service was top notch and everybody there was friendly. One thing that stood out: the bartender asked the guy sitting next to us if everything was good, and he said he was just waiting on a buffalo chicken pizza. She called straight over to the kitchen and had them cook one. They still put it out on the buffet, but he got exactly what he wanted. Pro tip: Under $20 a person might sound like a lot, but come hungry and it's a steal. I ate probably fourteen slices -- I drove down here with the intent to get full, and it wasn't a bad full. Highly suggest going, and I'd return if I find myself in Golden, Colorado again.

I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!
