3 pc fried chicken, Fries, and Mac & Cheese

Always awesome food. Some food takes time to cook, so pack alittle patience. It's worth the wait! Their 3 pc friend chicken is my fave. Never a dry piece of chicken how they make it.

We were blown away! My family comes from the south, and I haven't had a meal so close to home ever here in Washington. We stumbled on this place after hiking in Olympia next to the beach, and suddenly craving fish and chips. To be so lucky to find a place so great was a real treat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This black owned business catered to an ambience that was casual and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were immediately greeted with a smile and invited to seat ourselves before they brought us a menu. Our server was kind, and answered any and all questions with a happy heart. We had... the large catfish basket, gumbo, collards, fried okra, coleslaw, and hush puppies. The catfish was generous and had a salty, perfectly crisp breading. The collards were a salty brine with vinegar, with what I assumed was a turkey leg/meat base. The hush puppies were large and hot, paired with a creamy, and slightly sweet coleslaw. The gumbo felt right at home, with a strong roux accompanied by all the right components! *Refraining from revealing every little detail so you can go ahead and try yourself ;) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The spot is clearly popular, as we sat with a full house, surrounded by families, couples and singles picking up To-go order after To-go order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean, family friendly, and inviting. Plenty of light chatter, laughter and great music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sending anyone and everyone to try out this little slice of heaven. We can't wait to return sooner than later ;)

What a GEM!!! First time here and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I can't wait to go back and try other things! Very friendly staff and owners. Food is seasoned well and not overly battered. They were very busy and our food didn't take that long. I only wish they had their bread pudding available that was on the menu! Hush puppies beautifully done! Coleslaw wet and yummy! Red beans and rice could have been a tad spicier for me, catfish was very good!!! I loved it all! [[HIGHLIGHT]]AND the Blues playing in the background![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10/10

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beau Legs is a restaurant that feels like you're having dinner at a friend's house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is warm and inviting and the menu is a top hits list of southern comfort food. The gumbo, jambalaya, and po boys are my go-tos but their fried chicken is also amazing! Bc everything seems to be made from scratch, it can take a little more time to get your food if the restaurant is packed. But all good things are worth waiting for and Beau Legs is definitely worth it.

Catfish and Shrimp Basket and Surf & Turf

2nd time visiting this place and they didn't disappoint! There was no wait when we arrived so we got to sit down immediately. Our waitress was great and personable. They had some specials for the day that sounded really good but we decided to just stick with their usual menu options. I got the Catfish and Shrimp Basket and my husband got the Surf & Turf. Their catfish is always great and well seasoned, and I loved the shrimp (breaded in panko and deep fried). Their coleslaw is made sweet (personally, I don't like sweet coleslaw) but it was not too bad. Their fries are perfectly fried and lightly seasoned with Cajun seasoning. My husband enjoyed his meal as well, though he became a bit regretful and wished he ordered one of the specials haha. Definitely will return here again in the near future when I get my next catfish craving and so my husband can try their ribs next!

The shrimp was good, through the seasoning was inconsistent despite my best efforts. I ordered the spiciest option, and the shrimp was the only part I got the spice from. Sometimes I'm there was no heat, other times it felt like it was trying to kill me. My biggest gripe with the food was the lack of potatoes. Why get stingy with potatoes? There were only 2 in the boil I got. It was a generous amount of food overall, but I feel like potatoes are the weirdest part to skimp out on. The restaurant looked nice and had good lighting. My biggest complaint overall was the choice of music. Objectively, it was not appropriate for a family joint. It was Kanye West, Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator, and other similar artists. The songs were explicit, and there were many families with children in the restaurant. I can't rate it too low because all the food I tried was great, and I hope to come again in the future.

The decor is very similar to what it was with a splash of sea decor. They had some summer specials so we opted for one. We asked for the Cajun seasoning and I wanted extra spicy but the waiter thought spicy was enough. Get. The. Extra. Spicy. I like to feel the spice inflammation and where the food is in my gi system. I wanted to sweat. I had maybe a slightly sweaty upper lip but that was it. Wear all black. The sauce gets EVERYWHERE. All in all, it was good but everything was slightly over cooked for my liking. It comes in the large steamy bag I'm used to at restaurants but it's definitely not like my house where the pot gets poured out on the table. The portions are literally just enough to be completely satisfying and the service was superb!

Surprised the chicken was in strips usually it's shredded but that's fine by me! I order my burritos as a "bowl" usually without tortilla, cheese, sour cream. Top it with salsa and mix it together. The chicken breast had good seasoning and flavor, a little dry but not bad. The rice was fine but a little moist and not super flavorful, salty. The refried beans were thin and way to salty. I could taste salt after every bite. The lettuce and salsa were fine, nothing special, a sweet red enchilada style salsa rojo I requested, it usually comes with a green salsa verde.

We have been loyal customers of The RAM since 2019 and regularly visit the Lake Stevens and Marysville locations. We genuinely enjoy the food, atmosphere, and service, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated, exactly as the host advised. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, both of which arrived within a reasonable timeframe. From the time we sat down until we received our drinks and appetizer was roughly 15 minutes. After that, however, the experience quickly deteriorated. It took another 15 minutes or more before our server returned to take our entrée orders. The server apologized for the delay, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the delays only became worse. We then waited approximately 45 additional minutes for our main entrées, nobody checked in on our table. By the time the food arrived, our patience had run out and what should have been a special Father's Day meal had become frustrating and exhausting. I immediately asked for the bill and boxes. To make matters worse, not all of our food was delivered at the same time. We continued waiting for our pizza, and when it finally arrived, the center was soggy, undercooked, and literally falling apart. At that point, we chose not to send it back because we simply wanted to leave and salvage what remained of our family's celebration. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and leadership throughout the entire experience. When I asked why service had been so slow, our server explained that several employees had called out. While staffing shortages can happen and are understandable, the responsibility for managing those situations falls on leadership, not on the frontline staff. The restaurant did removed our appetizer from the bill and provided two burger vouchers, but that does not address the larger issue. Despite obvious service issues throughout the restaurant, no manager ever came to our table to explain the delays, apologize for the experience, or demonstrate any concern for my family who was being affected. The only acknowledgment we received was from our server even though she didn't check on us or give us updates on our food. The real failure here was not the staffing shortage itself--it was the management response to it. If leadership knew they were significantly understaffed, guests should have been informed before being seated or before placing orders. A simple announcement from the host explaining that food service was running substantially behind would have allowed customers to make an informed decision about whether to stay or dine elsewhere. Instead, my family was left waiting without information, while expectations remained unchanged. What made the situation even more confusing was watching a larger party seated after us receive their food, eat, and leave before our entrées were ever served. That only reinforced the perception that the restaurant was not effectively managing its operations during the shift or worse, our family was less important than other families seated there which would be heartbreaking if it were true. This is directed at the leadership team that failed to properly support an obviously understaffed staff and failed to communicate honestly with its customers. And making my family feel very less important than others. I have always enjoyed The RAM and hope this was an isolated incident. However, on one of the busiest dining days of the year, management's lack of preparation, communication, and customer care turned what should have been a memorable Father's Day celebration into a disappointing experience.

How it works: Select your tier ($35/$45/$55). The whole table needs to be on the same tier. Pick two broths. Select five meat/seafood/tofu/noodle options to start. Go to the self serve area and get your veggies. Go to the self serve sauce bar and make up your dipping sauce. Cook your food. Value: three people, with soda/tea was $135 and I tipped $15. We got the first tier only. Hot food like egg rolls and pot stickers are extra and we didn't get any. Soft serve ice cream and cookies are included at no extra charge. I appreciate the pricing model but I found it expensive. This is more than we spend on sushi.

And if you want something a little fancier, they do have mocktails at $8. I spent $185 including tip and taxes for 3 people. The set up is nice as you can grill and have soup on the next grill. They do have a few booths and then some tables. But if youre a larger party, you might get split up if they're busy. I'd recommend reservations if you have a large party. But getting to the food. For the Hotspot portion, you can pick 2 broths and its set up in a yingyang formatted pot. Then you go to the "buffet line" to get your veggies, meats and etc. They do have some hot foods like chicken wings and some type of fried roll. Hotspot was just okay. I was hoping for more flavor. The kbbq was just okay too. But one thing to keep in mind, this spot does not have the exhaust pipes/hood like they do at kbbq to help with the air, so prepare to smell. Leave your fancy/dry cleaning clothes at home. When my friends and I went, it got pretty hot inside, and there was only a box fan. So being next to a grill and no A/C made it more hot and uncomfortable. Maybe its changed now hopefully. The staff was nice and service was decent. Oh, and they do have an ice cream machine, so that's what made this spot like a 3.5 out of 5.
