We came here several months ago for my aunt's retirement dinner. It is located in the Hilton Hotel in Fairlawn across from the mall. I found the decor inside very cozy and formal, perfect for a nice dinner out with family or a significant other. We started off with the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were by far the best I have ever had. The breading reminded me of a light wonton wrapper and the gooey cheese was out of this world, they are obviously homemade! The marinara they came with for dipping was delicious as well! I got the shrimp carbonara for my entree and the portion was huge! I never take food home but it was so much that I couldn't finish! The shrimp was sautéed nicely and they gave a generous portion of bacon and veggies with the pasta as well. My entire party got an array of mixed drinks and wine and all were spectacular. We've never sought a restaurant inside a hotel before, but there's a first for everything and we are SO glad we found this flavorsome little spot! From start to finish, our visit to Beau's Grille was fantastic. The service was truly top tier and began before we even arrived -- after indicating in our reservation that we were there for date night, the staff arranged their secluded and incredibly comfortable crescent booth just for us! (Pro-tip: if you want to try out Beau's Grille, do be sure to make a reservation). Being in a corner booth, we didn't get to experience much of the atmosphere and we'd love to go back and sit out on the terrace. To drink, we got the watermelon and garden cocktails. The watermelon cocktail was a bit on the strong side, but The Garden was pretty tasty! It comprised of cucumber vodka, a spritzer, and some cucumber and basil garnishes and was quite refreshing. To start, we decided to try the Funky Tuna Tartare and WOW was it wonderful. We'd never had tuna tartare before, but this dish sure made us glad we have. We highly recommend this if you enjoy sushi -- they have very similar flavors! For our main dishes, we went with the seasonal Lobster Ravioli, as well as the house favorite Black Pepper Ravioli. Friends, believe us when we say... these are definitely not like your average ravioli dishes! The lobster ravioli was fresh and creamy, and the sun dried tomatoes added a nice bit of flavor. Additionally, the black pepper ravioli was chock-full of colorful veggies and had some of the most wonderful flavors we've had. All in all, we highly recommend that you check out this cozy little spot in the Hilton hotel. You'll be treated with such kindness and your taste buds will thank you for days to follow! read more

We were looking for a great place for dinner and conversation with friends on a Saturday evening. It was pleasant weather but not warm enough for outdoor seating, then we remembered the outdoor space at Beau's. Warm fire, overhead heaters kept it cozy for our dinner. The food was good, wait staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect to have a conversation over dinner and not feel rushed or need to screen out distractions like TVs, noise from music or other tables. I had the seared tuna but wished I would've gone for the pork chops as tuna didn't bring the bold flavors I was hoping were packed into the dish when reading menu. read more

On my recent trip to the Akron area I was told to try Beau's Grille. It was the a complete treat and it was so good I went there the next night as well. Love this spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Their patio is so beautiful, its hard to believe you're near busy road. Cocktails are so fun and yummy. I get the tuna tartare every time because if I don't, I regret it. It really is the best in the area. Also don't leave this restaurant without trying their homemade mozzarella sticks. read more

First of all the waitress was exceptional. Great service. I had the half chopped salad, also very good. My problem was with the mussel's. They were VERY fishy. I was close to sending them back, and I probably should have. The marinara was also very sweet. My husband had the perch dinner which he said was very generic. We met a friend for a drink here and man what an atmosphere. Everyone is having a great time here. I had never been there before but it was easy to find just enter to the Hilton and go left and you'll meet the host stand. The drinks were generous in their pours so you won't feel jipped or get a watered down drink. We enjoyed ourselves for so long there that we ordered some appetizers. We went with the mozzarella sticks and fried green tomato blt. Both batters were incredible light and enjoyable. You seriously can't go wrong here. I'll be dreaming of those mozzarella sticks for a long time to come. read more

I am a regular customer, until now. I usually eat in the bar. The waitress is not attentive at all. The last three times I have gone, I went without any follow-up at all. Honestly wasn't impressed at all and wouldn't recommend this place. The other photos of this place on here make Beau's look amazing, well-lit, and elegant. However, this wasn't my experience. The food was honestly sub-par or even a little worse, aside from their PB pie. We went in for lunch on Sunday around 1pm, and it was really dimly lit inside. We were seated in the corner by the bar. The waitress was nice and attentive enough. The inside didn't really impress me, and doesn't look at all like the pictures online, as it's really dark inside, almost depressingly so. I ordered the tuna steak sandwich, which was just okay. The bread was greasy and I ended up just picking the tuna off the sandwich and eating it. The french fries that came along with it weren't very good, kind of limp and oily. My mom's stir fry was also really salty and there was something off about the sauce. The only thing that was delicious and something I'd come back for was their home-made PB pie, which wasn't overwhelming in terms of PB overload, but the perfect blend of light, fluffy, and creamy. The pie is the reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1. The hotel that Beau's is in certainly has an amazing lobby, with a wonderfully clean and elegant bathroom. (Is she seriously commenting on the bathroom?) Yes I am, due to the fact that I went to Beau's a week ago and the most memorable thing about my experience there was my pee and the beautiful glass sculpture chandelier in the hotel lobby. All in all, I think Beau's is a place best experienced two or three (or four or five) drinks in, ordering drinks and dessert only. My boyfriend and I attended on a Saturday night in which we had a reservation. We sat in the outside, covered, heated patio which was nice in the beginning. However, we grew tired of the atmosphere when hotel/bar guests began standing behind our table gathered around the tv screens and loudly chatting as if it was a sports bar atmosphere. Although the entire wait staff was very friendly and hardworking, there was at least 10 or 15 minutes between when we were seated and when our server came to take our order. I do understand that the service industry is not currently fully staffed, but I do think it's worth mentioning. Lastly, our food was not appetizing at all. We ordered the crab cake and compared to other crab cakes we've enjoyed, the one at Beau's was far too moist and dense to be an appealing appetizer; the plating presentation, however, was neat. My boyfriend's sirloin came in a deep plated swamp of dark, stew-like broth which made it look unappetizing. Although he ordered the sirloin steak, even if we were to judge his meal as a hamburger patty instead of a steak, it would still make for a chewy, chopped, charred burger. Overall, I think Beau's would be a suitable place for drinks on the patio, but I would not classify it as fine dining. read more

I've been coming to Beau's for the last 5 years for Sunday Breakfast with my husband and parents. Every meal is amazing, the service is outstanding, and the ambience is great! I usually will opt for the breakfast buffet, but today I went with an omelette....amazing! Cooked perfectly and HUGE! My husband always gets the waffle or the eggs Benedict, which he says is exceptional. The prices for breakfast are great, between $10-$16 for a huge portion. My breaded lake perch was good, as was the portion. My veggies were cooked properly (still a bit crisp), but bland and barely room temperature. In fact, I don't think they were seasoned at all. The scallops tasted fine but were kind of rubbery. They were served over a corn concoction that contained some kind of pork bits, which I don't think were mentioned on the menu. Disappointing in terms of being open and honest with the customer. Not everyone wants pork. Pretty good wine list, and the rolls were good. Some comments about the atmosphere: walking through the hotel on the way to the restaurant, it felt like we were in a senior citizen housing facility. Too quiet and sedate. We were then seated in an awkward booth right next to a serving station, adjacent to a loud bar or patio area, segregated from the rest of the restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. The calamari appetizer may have been the worst calamari I've ever had. It was smothered in oil, making it soggy, and served with a bunch of soggy bell peppers. It was inedible! I ordered the walleye entree, which was also fried, and it was also soggy and oil saturated. The coating fell right off and the sauce did not resemble the description, but the fish was cooked well. It came with rice and vegetables (broccoli and carrots), which were both an afterthought and something you would expect from a third rate diner. I had lived in Akron for a few years after living in Chicago and Southern California for most my life, and I'm not surprised by the more positive reviews from the locals, the food scene here is awful. Fried sauerkraut balls are a thing here and they put "chili" with cinnamon over spaghetti noodles. The culinary revolution has not hit this part of the country. read more

We wanted some late night dessert and this place did not disappoint. They are open until 11:00 and quickly made our order to go. We got 2 huge pieces of ( possibly the best I've ever had) peanut butter pie, huge serving of excellent Mango sorbet, and quality coffee for well under $20. Staff was very nice and helpful. I don't usually eat in hotel restaurants because they are higher priced than if you would go elsewhere (as this one is), but it was convenient after our meeting. I ordered the salad with goat cheese, fresh beets, pistachios, fresh berries, butternut squash, and Caribbean mango vinaigrette. It was outstanding! I ate most every bite of this large salad because it was loaded with delicious enormous blackberries, sweet strawberries, blueberries and a generous amount of goat cheese. They were sitting on top of a fresh mix of greens. In this particular case, I would say the salad was a bargain at $9.95. I highly recommend this salad if you like fruit salads with goat cheese. I should also mention that I started my meal with a cup of the soup of the day which was ham with lentil soup. Yum! Went to Beau's for a random night out because I didn't want to eat at home. We ordered: 1) Fried tomatoes with crab as an app -Fried green tomatoes were really good -Crab was obviously canned which was expected, however the taste was somewhat metallic. -The lighter colored mayonnaise based sauce tasted appropriate, but the ketchup based sauce really cheapened the dish. Would recommend it on the side. -I would probably order this for dinner if in the mood for something light 2) Eggplant/artichoke/hearts of palm salad with balsamic vinaigrette (upcharge from house salad) -YUM! Best thing we ordered. Artichokes were great (but there were only a couple). Would go back for the full size portion. 3) Reuben -Classic, good, nothing special but was a good reuben. 4) Filet petite portion (6oz med rare) -Good quality meat, enough marbling to make it melt in your mouth. -Good crust, even cooking. -Waitress was very accomodating, she provided the lunch size filet during dinner hours because I mentioned I like smaller portions. Unfortunately, the kitchen might have been used to cooking the dinner sized portion at the time and mine came out medium to medium well instead of medium rare. 5) Chocolate cake with rasperry -More like a flourless tort, good, chocolatey, did what it needed to do We also ordered 2 cocktails, 3 beers and a coffee- total with tip was approx $100.00. As far as service- we got some attitude from the hosting staff for not having a reservation which didn't set a great mood for the night (easily rectified by the earlier mentioned cocktails). Our waitress, however, was very good and made up for the 'tude we got earlier. All in all, we would go back, but probably be more frugal about our choices since things add up ($$) at Beau's. read more

I recently came here for the first time after it was recommended to my by a friend. We sat on the patio and happened to be one of the later tables of the evening. I generally feel bad about being the last table as I know the staff probably wants to get out of there, but our server "Pat" was extremely friendly and made us feel completely welcome. We had a couple glasses of wine, a few appetizers, and everything was great. I'll definitely go back and I'd recommend it to friends. Also, the patio had a great atmosphere. We recently held our rehearsal dinner at Beau's and the experience was just wonderful. We were able to pre select four apps and the menu had 6-7 different items for our guests to choose from along with an open bar. The food was delicious and everyone kept raving about it. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Been here numerous times and I am always satisfied with their food and services. When it comes to their services, their servers are fantastic and accommodating. They don't have a kids menu but they offered my toddler chicken tenders, fries and even cheese sticks. I had their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. But by far, my favorite is the dinner menu. I have tasted most of the appetizers and they are all superb. The ahi tuna, buffalo wings, beef carpaccio, chicken sausage, banana peppers, crab cakes, calamari, lettuce wraps and tuna tartare are my go-to's. We decided to order tapas style with the appetizers and it was the best idea ever. Now for the entrees I have tasted the grilled salmon, panko crusted chicken parmesan, and the grilled boneless chicken breast are to die for! If you want fantastic food, try Beau's. read more

This can be a good place, and should be...but our experience at the hostess stand is just so frustrating. Every time we go here. It feels like your invading her space and then the whispers start about your reservation. Just seat us based on the reservation we made! The grill is empty but they try and sit you in the main area even though your reservation clearly states the grill. Our waitress was great and accommodating but the whole experience gets lost by the lady at the hostess stand. We try to like this place and in today's economy you would think it wouldn't be that difficult...but clearly it is. read more
