FYI, the ownership has changed, and unfortunately my experience here was not great. I brought in my wedding dress for alterations, and from the start, I didn't feel like a priority. Even though I had an appointment, she took another client at the same time and kept going back and forth between us. It was frustrating because her attention wasn't fully on my dress and she seemed distracted. We had agreed on a pickup date and confirmed the time, but when I arrived, the bustle hadn't even been done. I was asked to wait about 30 minutes while it was completed, which was disappointing given that I had a scheduled pickup. When I tried on the dress, it was still too loose and didn't fit properly, which I believe was due to the lack of attention during my first appointment. I was then told to leave the dress again so it could be fixed. When I picked up the dress for the second time, I had concerns about how poorly the bustle was done--and unfortunately those concerns were justified. On my wedding day, the bustle came undone immediately. I didn't even get a chance to use it. A large portion of the night was spent with my mom trying to pin up my dress, and at one point she even pricked herself, getting blood on it. After the wedding, I emailed the owner about the issue and received no response. When I later called to request a refund for the poorly done bustle, I was told they couldn't provide one, only that I could bring the dress back to have it redone. While I appreciate the offer, it doesn't help now that the wedding has already passed and I don't plan to wear the dress ever again. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and careless, especially for something as important as a wedding dress. I don't think it's fair to have paid for work that wasn't done correctly, particularly considering the stress it caused on such an important day. read more

I visited around 5 different boutique and showroom shops before deciding to go with Beautiful Day Wedding. It was a lacey mermaid dress with a lot of details, and they priced in the tailoring of it (an initial attempt and also a final touch) and the pricing still came out to be quite amazing. They also offer rental of jewelries and veil, although the selection was quite small and I also don't have my ears pierced which didn't help. When I went to return the veil, the owner noticed a slit on the veil, which was honestly probably my fault and she asked for me to purchase it for $30. I wish I knew how fragile these things were otherwise I would've taken extra extra precautions, a note here for anyone who's reading this review. But all in all, the experience was more than awesome, would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a wedding gown. read more

Ahhh THANK YOU so much to Joy and her team for putting together the dress of my dreams Before coming to Beautiful Day, I tried on dresses at a few other places but nothing seemed to really have the princess styled dress that I wanted. I also wanted it to be strapless, but also didn't want lace on my dress which is a very difficult thing to not find on a wedding dress these days. I made my first appointment for Beautiful Day about 9 months out from the wedding. As soon as I walked in I had a really good feeling about the place, but unfortunately a fitting appointment is limited to only trying on 5 dresses. There were 2 dresses I really liked from this fitting, but I wasn't sure if they were the one so I left and kept looking around. They also do not allow you take photos when trying on dresses so it was hard for me to decide whether or not I could picture myself in the dress. I think if they changed this rule it would really help brides make faster decisions. I waited about 2 weeks, but I couldn't stop thinking about those dresses, so I made another appointment to re-try them on. When I went back the second time, I found even more dresses I loved and I was getting closer to exactly what I wanted. During this 2nd appointment I actually did find "the one" and I was in love! And on top of that, the price was unbeatable and included alternations! At first I was scared because I was buying it off the rack and the size was much bigger than me. I worried they wouldn't be able to alter it down to be small enough, but there was absolutely no issue! They even had me wait to come in until about 2 months out from the wedding to take my measurements because they want you to be as close to your size of the wedding. Almost all of the other shops I looked at in LA told me they would need 10+ months to order and do alterations. But Beautiful Day knows their stuff and I am pretty confident they can get you in the dress you want even if you come in just a few weeks before your wedding. When I came back to try on the altered dress I almost cried I was so happy! It literally fit me perfectly and they removed the straps too just like I wanted. Now that the wedding is over I also plan to take it back to them to either preserve or alter to something else. Still deciding at the moment, but I know whatever I choose they will do a great job. The dress shop is where I bought my dress on sample sale, and they also altered it. The ladies there are so caring, kind, and real - not trying to scam you / sell you, but make sure you look great and feel comfortable. I had some bad experiences at other stores where there was fitting fees, they would say everything looked great (even though it wasn't true), but I felt here, I was really comfortable, and supported. As the groom of the wedding, I didn't have much input in the decision of the dress rental shop. We were looking for a Package Deal. Simply all I needed was a nice SLIM-FIT BLACK TUX with a CLASSIC BLACK BOWTIE. A James Bond look with a martini in my hand (shaken not stirred) was what I was trying to portray. However, the right dress for the bride is a lot more complex. A dedicated blog discusses 70 THINGS TO KNOW in choosing your dream wedding dress. Not 1, not 2, but 70! (Mindblown emoji here). However, my wife's WHITE DRESS with a VEIL received many compliments, and honestly, it was the perfect dress. They have an EXCELLENT PACKAGE for rentals, and hair and makeup, a one-stop rental that crosses multiple checklists. Beautiful Day also carries BRIDESMAID or MATRON OF HONOR DRESSES that we rented for our engagement session. I went to around 7 bridal shops and ended up getting my dress here. Service was great! The only thing I was not fond of was not being able to take photos unless you have decided on a dress, so definitely bring your friends to the fitting if you'd like other opinions! I'm very simple so I only wanted a simple, timeless dress and very few shops had such dresses. Luckily, Beautiful Day Wedding had the perfect one for me, and on top of that, it was much more affordable. Joy was such a pleasure and very friendly. It was very easy to book an appt over the phone and eventually they knew you by name. For my last fitting, I wasn't too confident with the fit so they happily let me come back last minute. I'm very grateful for this because it wasn't til the very last last fitting where I felt very comfortable in the dress. I highly recommend Joy and her team at Beautiful Day Wedding! They're kind, professional, and they really know what they're doing! My original vision was an A-line gown with long sleeves, absolutely no strapless mermaids. I had tried quite a few dresses at another store, even strapless mermaids just to be open minded, and was underwhelmed. Joy listened as I talked about my venue, details I wanted in a dress, and she brought me a Pronovias strapless mermaid anyway among others. I was shocked by how much I liked it and was even in a bit of denial, so I tried on the rest, but nope, that was the one. What made it even better was that I could rent this beautiful thing for a fraction of the purchase price, which also included alterations and accessories! It came in under budget and not having to deal with preservation and storage was a huge bonus. I had my first fitting a month from the wedding, and the second fitting on the week of. Honestly, I was nervous about the timing and felt like we were cutting it pretty close, but she assured me things would be fine. And they were! I think the only drawback to the experience would be that they don't allow photos during try-on appointments. I did a lot of dress research and had particular "wants." But my eyes landed on a Pronovias dress that had all the elements I wanted - business in the front, party in the back. I called around to some stores and Beautiful Day carried the dress! If you like honesty, you'll get it - the young girl helping me try on my dress commented it wasn't the most flattering - lol - it's fine, I can take the criticism. But the heart wants what it wants, so I got the dress anyway. I think their policy of "No photos" is lame, so I recommend trying on dresses at American places, which tend to let you take photos - and then coming here to see if they have the dress because their pricing is super competitive. My Pronovias dress was about 25% less than at retail stores. They ordered my dress pre-pandemic, January 2020, with an estimate of 4 months, but with COVID delays, I didn't get it until August 2020, which didn't matter since I had to postpone my wedding anyway. Joy helped me with my alterations and she was amazing. I was so happy with how the alterations turned out - the length was perfect, they took it in tight enough that it was flattering, but not so much I couldn't breathe. And my bustle - oh wow, my bustle! My dress had a long train, and they came up with a super cute and simple bustle. They did have a minor delay with my alterations, but I got my dress in time so it was fine. I would definitely recommend calling a week ahead of when you expect to pick up to kind of give them a reminder. read more

I was looking for the option to rent a wedding dress and so glad I made my appointment here :) The cost of renting the dress included alterations and even rental of accessories like veil and belt. They were so flexible and understanding with me as a COVID bride who had to postpone my wedding out an entire year. They were very understanding and picked up right where we left off. I was amazed at their alteration work and how they were able to make the dress work for me exactly how I imagined it! They helped me alter the dress to my size, add off shoulder sleeves that I tucked in during my reception, added a bustle, and took out a tiny bit of fluff. If you are like me and not wanting to spend $1k+ on a dress you'll only wear for one day -- look no further! A friend of mine recommended A Beautiful Day and I was SO happy to find a beautiful dress there to rent. Please note they moved to a newer and more modern building with better lighting! The staff was very friendly and kind. I rented the Casablanca. I asked if they could add lace to the top of the dress and they did an amazing job making it come true at no additional cost. Rental included dress, veil, alterations and dry cleaning. There was some confusion on what veils were available -- at first one associate told us they only offer one short style so I ended up buying my own off Amazon. However, when I brought my veil to the final fitting, the seamstress offered another veil option that was much better as it longer, wasn't as thick, and didn't hide the design of the train as much as the one I brought in did. So try confirming all veil options before purchasing your own. The only downside is they don't allow you to take photos of the dresses so it definitely makes it more difficult to pick a dress because you have to mentally remember which ones you like and narrow it down. After we put a deposit down they did allow us to take photos/videos but I wish they allowed customers to do so beforehand too. Overall, highly recommend saving yourself some money and checking out their selection. Our wedding was on Friday and we had to return the dress on Monday. If you're going on your honeymoon or spending time with family right after, I recommend having a someone else return the dress for you. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! These ladies are truly hidden gems in this city! I got married in July 2022 and inflation was really starting to spike up around this time drastically. Obviously, we were all going through it financially. Now throw a wedding in the mix. Calling it a tough time was an understatement. So to all the brides dealing with the financial stress, you got this and know it will work out! I went to 3 bridal boutiques total including a corporate one with the initials DB, and another high end boutique. DB was my first stop just to get a teaser of the experience. You could definitely find a dress on a low budget but it ain't gonna be what you want! I tried on like 4 dresses because that was all they had in trumpet cut and they just weren't it. I went to the high end boutique. I tried on at least 12 dresses and the service was terrible and the prices nearly sent me to the ER with the amount of panic it caused knowing my dream dress would most likely be insanely expensive considering their basic and kinda above basic would not burn a whole in my pocket, it would set the whole house on fire! And then I walked into this magical gem of a place!!! (Insert glittery stars shimmering down as you enter with harmonic music) I literally tried on 2 dresses and found the one! I was terrified because it was a trumpet, filled with gems and pearls and it made me feel like a queen! Not a princess, a freaking QUEEN!!! The only thing I wanted to add on were the off the shoulder sleeves. I asked her for the price, ready to faint and holding onto the ground with my feet for dear life because I was still wearing the dress. She said with alterations and EVERYTHING included, it would be under 2k... WHAT?! Ladies!! If you haven't shopped for dresses yet, trust me when I say that this was a steal!!! I'm sure the prices have gone up since then because inflation so please don't assume my price will be your price! They are a small family business and they need to eat too loll I went for a total of 2 fittings. One with the sleeves, I think it was a month or 2 before the wedding and another the week of the wedding. Thank God because I was losing weight like there was no tomorrow and I was eating fast food to try to keep the weight. This is not a brag, it's a warning! Wedding stress definitely has mental and physical effects! Thinking back I'm so humbly blessed and thankful for these women! They have no idea how much they helped me with this dress. I was strictly in attendance for moral support and to offer my unabashed opinion, but from what I could tell, this bridal shop had plenty to choose from, reasonable pricing and very attentive staff. Many of the used dresses for rent were under $1k. The shop was also willing to offer as much as a $1k discount for some of the newer dresses for purchase! Joy + her team were extremely accommodating. Since we hadn't used up the full hour for the first 5 dresses, they let our bride-to-be pick out a few more dresses to assess. We appreciated that the staff went out their way to scope out a few extra options based on our friend's criteria (mermaid style, a gradual plunge in the bust) as well. At the end of the session, Joy jotted down some critical contact information and sketched out the styles that had ranked at the top of the list. This was my 6th wedding dress store I had visited and they were very professional and quick with combing through the different dress options that were not only my style but within my budget. Eventually, I was between a dress here and in another location. They were very patient with me as I went to the other dress store to see if it would help me with my decision - which it did, and I ultimately chose my dress at Beautiful Day. With being a COVID bride during the pandemic, they were closed for a while, but have been very attentive and understanding when I needed my dress with a few weeks notice as I had my first fitting in early July and my wedding in August. The seamstress was very quick and skilled and was able to make all the modifications to my dress. I also appreciate9d how quick the tailoring appt was compared to other places like David's Bridal. This place has the best wedding dress variety out of all the places I visited in Los Angeles and the prices can't be beat. What really stuck out was how unique the different styles were-- you really get some options! Before the day of my wedding, I would of considered this place a five star business. BEWARE OF ALTERATIONS, even if they say they can customize the dress to your liking. I was so disappointed with how confident they were when accepting my dress alteration requests. I wanted layers removed to appear less fluffed, and they said they would thin out the dress by my next fitting. I also expressed my concern with how long the tail was for my dress and they said they couldn't modify it, but there was a way to 'button' the back of the dress so it wouldn't drag: The result: I show up to my final fitting with ZERO ALTERATIONS made. They played stupid and I tried on the dress. It was still loose and they offered dress tape to fix their laziness. Also, whatever they claimed would button up the back of my dress fell apart during my wedding and I had to walk around with the worlds longest dress tail all night, praying it wouldn't get stepped on with all the dancing and hugging. The complimentary jewelry they rented out was about the same quality as forever 21. So I guess what I'm saying is, as long as the dress fits perfectly during the first fitting, you should be satisfied. read more

Beautiful Day Wedding was one of a few bridal shops my sister-in-law recommended when I was interested in renting my wedding dress. Be sure to make an appointment prior to visiting because they are incredibly busy during the weekends, especially as you approach wedding season. Also, it doesn't hurt to call the day before to confirm your appointment still works for them. The ladies at Beautiful Day Wedding were kind, insightful but most of all efficient. They recommended dress styles that would work perfectly for a San Francisco City Hall elopement. I had originally had a wedding dress on hold at another bridal shop; however, when I found the perfect wedding dress at Beautiful Day Wedding, the associate was willing to sell me the new dress to own (not rent) including alterations for a price that rivaled other bridal shops I previously visited. Please note, photos are not allowed in the bridal shop UNLESS you said "Yes to the Dress." I had 3 dress fittings. I believe 2 fittings would have been enough if my weight hadn't fluctuated as much as it did. Each fitting lasted about 15-20 minutes with the seamstress. I went to almost 10 wedding dress places before I finally said yes to my dress here. The Korean lady who helped me was not talkative or full of expressions like in some other shops, but that was what make me comfortable because I could think about the dress and not feel rushed. The service I received was very good. When I was first looking, I was determined to get an A-line dress, so I tried on several A-line dresses but didnt find the right one. The lady was very patient in helping me choose some dresses from their collection. She suggested me to try on mermaid dresses and she was right. I looked more confident and nice in a mermaid dress, the dress helps me look thinner and curvier. I didn't say yes to the dress the first time I went here, and the lady didn't rush my decision. Luckily for me, I knew which style I was looking for and ended up choosing a sweetheart mermaid Casablanca with a nice train. The rental was close to $980ish after tax, but it comes with accessory rental, alterations, and cleaning. I came back for two fittings, one two weeks before the wedding and another two days before. If you're renting instead of buying your wedding dress, this is the place to go. You not only pay less, but there's complimentary dress alterations and accessory rental. I got fitted by Deborah, who was efficient and helpful for my three appointments. At my first appointment eight months before my wedding, I found the right dress with my mom and sister (MOH) in fewer than two hours. I also paid 33% of my rental fee as my deposit. At my second appointment three weeks before my wedding, I got fitted again but wearing my wedding shoes this time. This time, my sister and one of my best friends from grad school also came to help me find complementary accessories. At my final appointment, my dress fit perfectly. I paid the remainder of my balance and picked up my dress and accessory rental. I rented the dress for a total of 4 days, and my sister returned it within 4 days of the rental. I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses at this location in July 2023. Because I was planning my wedding I didn't have time to do immediate reviews and now that everything happened here I am. I went to the store on time with my mother-in-law, my mother and my sister to try on dresses that I had previously chosen on their website. When I arrived there were no greetings or smiles or good welcome like in the places I went before. They made me wait about 30 minutes to see me when I already had an appointment. When I had to try on dresses they only told me "there are dresses on the racks, look for what you like, you only have 5 options to try" from that moment on it seemed very strange to me because in the other places there were people who helped you find your dresses. Well, I followed the rules and looked for the dresses myself. When I went into the fitting room to try my dresses, there was a person inside waiting for me to take off my clothes in front of her, she was in a hurry and spoke to me rudely. I asked her nicely if she could wait outside to put the dress on in private and told her I would call her so she could help me when I needed it. She was very upset about it and she left the fitting room even more upset. After putting on my dress she was zipping me up, and with a sarcastic voice she asked me "what are you looking for? rentals?" and I told her no, that I was looking for a dress for my wedding, she asked again sarcastically "yes, but do you really want to buy it?" and I told her that I if like the dress, of course. She then asked me the same thing and the same thing between a sarcastic laugh. "Yes, but do you want to buy today? Do you agree with the price?" That's when I started to feel more uncomfortable. I'm Latina, I don't know if that's what made them think I can't afford a dress. But that's how I felt. After that, I went out to look at my dress and she almost yelled at me to put on the huge heels that were so unstable that I decided not to wear them for fear of falling. The lady almost started yelling at me "put them on" "put them on" "put them on" "put them on" then I couldn't stand the bad treatment anymore that I left crying because of the discrimination and the bad treatment. There was another client before me who was treated respectfully, so I don't understand why they were so rude to me. If you don't want to ruin an experience that should be beautiful, don't shop here. There was so many selection of dresses, ranging from many different styles as well. Joy and her team was wonderful and helpful. I had my eye on a dress, but left because I was not yet sure of fully committing. And when I came back, she honored the price she gave me when I was first there, and made sure my dress alterations fit my perception of my dream dress. She is very kind and spoke very sweetly, doesn't make you feel uncomfortable during the trial, and does her best to help you look good. My dress alterations took about a month. read more

This place was highly recommended by many brides friends who rented their bridal gown from here. I had to plan a wedding alone with no wedding planner so I didn't have any time to waste. I came into the store knowing what kind of wedding gown I wanted including the detailing and embellishment. They had the exact gown I had envisioned at a very reasonable price for rental that also included alterations. I only had to come in for 2 fittings (which the 2nd fitting was the pick up dress day) and they requested I return the dress the following Monday after the wedding weekend. I received many compliments on the wedding gown from many guests and the handiwork on the bustle (the bustle compliment was from the matron of honor who happens to be a seamstress enthusiast). I ordered a dress from another retailer and received an email saying it would not arrive in time for my wedding. I somehow found out about Beautiful Day, and figured I would give it a try since it seemed somewhat affordable. Joy was very nice and helpful at pointing me towards dresses that were within my budget and I put a $400 deposit down that same day. When I purchased the dress, Joy said it was final sale. Either the very next day or the day after, I was contacted by the previous retailer that my dress was able to be expedited and I would get it in the next 4 days. This was obviously great news but I knew I wasn't going to need two wedding dresses! When I contacted Joy via phone and explained the situation to her, she was hesitant about refunding my money at first, but when I told her I wanted to still give her business by using her tailoring services since I assumed my dress would need it, she said she would work with me and deduct whatever service she provided from the $400 deposit. During those weeks/months, I received my dress and thankfully, it didn't need any alterations. Even though I was happy about this, my gut told me that it was going to create some difficulty in me getting my money back. I ended up asking Joy to add sleeves and a bustle to my dress to give me different options for looks on the day of the wedding. I asked her to provide me with a receipt for the work so we could deduct the work she did from the $400 deposit I gave because I knew the sleeves and bustle couldn't cost more than $100. (It honestly probably cost closer to $50-$80). I ordered my dress from Azazie and it was pretty much ready made. Highly recommend for anyone on a budget.) Instead of being honest and following through on her word, when it was time for me to take my dress after a final fitting, she took back everything she verbally promised and said, all sales are final and I can't return your money. The unfortunate part is that I enjoyed working with her because she seemed respectful and attentive for each of the fittings I had, but this is extremely disappointing. We all understand that stores and businesses have policies, but as a business owner, you have the ability to work within those policies or outside of them. Joy promised she would work with me and be an honest business owner, and then decided not to honor that promise. And she knows that she told me she would work with me, not sure why she's acting like that conversation didn't happen. It's for that reason, I'm giving them such a low rating, and will tell everyone I know about my experience here. read more

I came here right after my appointment with Bella Bridal and I'd say my experience here was similar where I was told to come back once I had better idea of what I wanted and they would order a similar dress. But they had perhaps a larger inventory and the staff there was a tiny bit more accommodating and nicer. I didn't end up coming back, but I might have come back if the timing of dress shopping and my wedding would allow for me to wait for orders and fittings. But it was still demoralizing to not get to try on a lot of dresses due to my size. read more

My dress was a dream! My wedding was this past Sunday, and although it was a crazy blur, I for sure remember getting so many compliments on my gown. My flower girls even gasped and told me I looked like Elsa from FROZEN (hahaha) - which is the highest compliment! Joy was so nice in my fittings, and made sure all of my concerns were taken care of (suggesting I use fashion tape for gaps in the straps, and making sure I was comfortable with the - ahem, chest padding). The pics speak for themselves -- I loved my royalty worthy romantic gown. My best friends could not believe how beautiful the dress was considering the affordable deal. Important to note is how accommodating Joy was. Picking-up my dress the Thursday before the wedding was stressful, as due to LA week day traffic I was an hour late getting to the salon. However, Joy stayed open late so that I could try it on again and she made adjustments to the straps in only a few minutes and I was out the door. Also, I'm Chinese-American (not Korean) and had no communication issues - Joy speaks perfect English and although the woman who originally helped me find my dress didn't speak much English, she was so sweet and helpful. Returning my dress was also easy - it was quickly inspected and I was given the OK. I'm so happy with how everything turned out - I HIGHLY recommend Beautiful Day! read more

I wanted to rent a dress rather than own a dress I will only wear once. Beautiful Day offers both options, and though they are a bit hard to find, do walk through the flower shop on the bottom floor (everyone inside is very friendly and always smiling!) and give Beautiful Day a chance! I had my doubts at the beginning. I do not speak Korean so communication was limited at best. But these ladies are professionals. For the initial stage of my dress shopping, they made sure I had a young lady who was lovely, helpful, and fluently bilingual. She made suggestions but was also very open to letting me decide what I wanted to try. The one downside here is that they don't allow photos on dresses that you have not purchased/rented so you have to make do with mental notes. I found THE dress, and I said yes to my dress. Fast forward to one month before the wedding. The seamstress takes literally no more than ten minutes to take some measurements, and we're done. I don't know how she could make something fit so well with so little, but at the next fitting, I was astounded. It took two people to pull the dress closed, but it was a perfect fit! It's a strapless so the tightness was actually exactly right as it didn't slide down at all during my wedding. And did I mention the dress rental price includes all alterations as well as accessories? As in belt, veil, AND jewelry so all you need is shoes. I bought my own jewelry and skipped the veil, but the seamstress insisted I add a belt, and it was a beautiful last-minute addition. I thought I hated belts, but she convinced me otherwise. Whether you're a bride on a budget, a bride looking borrow, or just a person wanting to check out their well-priced options, I highly recommend giving Beautiful Day a chance.
