The assistants also did not seem well-informed or organized, which made the overall experience even more frustrating. I hope the office can improve its communication, organization, and respect for patients' time.

But I was eating dinner and it broke and so I had to make an appointment with my dentist. They are absolutely wonderful here, everyone here is so sweet and caring. They truly care about their patients and their teeth. I had to get a root canal done on my broken molar. I have had my share of dental trauma while pregnant for 7 months straight, so it's scary for me to go to the dentist now but you gotta do what you gotta do. I had a panic attack cause I was so nervous. They tried to give me laughing gas but it made me even more anxious so just did it without, ended up getting through a 3 1/2 procedure. They turned on a movie for me and gave me a blanket and even a massage chair with heat. They are wonderful at making you feel comfortable and cared for! I highly recommend this dentist office for dental work. My friend actually referred me here and I am so grateful he did. Thank you guys for everything for working with me and helping me calm down during this visit. So sorry I was so nervous but it's been a journey for me all around. I appreciate you guys. I will be back so I can finish everything but I am happy it is fixed for now! Thank you again so much for your caring hearts and for taking care of my broken Molar for me today. He showed me a booklet explaining root canal, went over every page with me, and did the work the following morning. He is compassionate, explains procedures thoroughly, keeps himself educated on new techniques, and is a perfectionist in his work. He utilizes computer-administered local anesthesia and does laser dentistry. His hygienist is tops, and the office staff is friendly and helpful. We have been going to Dr. Lewis for at least 15 years.

Not only is their office clean and quiet, but everyone there is extremely friendly and personable. Everyone makes you feel at ease and you don't have to wait forever to be seen. Dr Shea is very knowledgeable and kind when he explains what treatment you need to have. I really liked how he took the time to show me what was wrong and how he likes to complete the work in the same day (rather than having you coming back multiple times for the same thing). I have already referred many friends and family there!

Disclaimer: This happened back in 2019…read more At this point I had been coming into Genesis Dental for a few years and had already been somewhat unhappy as it seemed that my dental work was being rushed. Fast forward a bit, and I had just changed jobs and thus had a new insurance policy. I called the office ahead of my appointment with my new policy information and was assured that it would not be an issue. After my very rushed appointment I went home and didn't think much of it until about two weeks later when I got a bill in the mail saying my insurance was declined. I called the office and spoke to the receptionist who assured me that they made an honest mistake and would update to my new policy. Low and behold a week or so later I get another letter saying I have an unpaid balance and that they were threatening to send me to collections. Furious, I called them and told them I'd be coming into the place to make sure they update their systems because this was just unprofessional and unacceptable. I came in, physically watched them update my information then correctly bill my insurance. I then asked them to pull my record so I could provide my file to a new dentist that I was already in contact with. They seemed surprised and I told them it was bad enough I needed to remind them 3 times to update my insurance, but threatening to send me to collections for their mistake was the final straw. Sure enough, my insurance settled the bill and I never had to deal with this awful dental practice ever again. Also my new dentist informed me it took her three attempts for them to actually send my record over when I shared my frustrations with her. Also she found a cavity that was pretty decayed at that point proving my earlier preconceived notion that the dental work was being rushed.

Dentists cannot just leave patients high and dry without trying to get them care or their records and x-rays. This is called patient abandonment and it is against the law. I am also forced to contact my insurance to tell them what has happened because they will not allow another claim for additional x-rays for 1 year. I understand Dr. Wolf suffered a heart attack but now that he is stable he should be trying to do the right thing and get his patients their records that they are entitled to *******Update****** I received notification that Genesis dental is the longer in business. Unfortunately, Dr. Wolf suffered a heart attack and is in need of a double knee replacement, and was forced to close the doors. Also unfortunately some of his patients had procedures that were still being completed, as well as others, who paid upfront for their procedures. At this point Dr. Wolf's patients have no access to their dental records, x-rays or anything else. I was told Dr. Wolf is locked out of the business. First of all, this dentist is now in Palm Desert on Country Club Dr. It's called Parc Center…read moreDentistry and the dentist we saw was Kourosh Dianat. He was on our list of insurance covered dentists and was the one closest to home, so I made appointments for my husband and myself for exams, x-rays and cleaning which our insurance provides for free twice a year. They wouldn't make an appointment for the cleaning which should have been a warning. When we went in for the (free) exam and x-rays we were each told, separately, that we couldn't have a cleaning because we needed periodontal cleaning and that wasn't provided. He then proceeded to find $12,000 worth of work that we needed (although there is nothing wrong with either of us as our teeth have been very well cared for). Neither of us has a toothache or any dental discomfort. My husband is 85 years old. So we took the meeting with the woman in the office who tells you prices (Denise) and we told her that we wouldn't be making any appointments at this time but would think about it. She then told us that we owed her $20 each. $5.00 each for the office visit and $15.00 each for the exam. I called to check that with my insurance company the next day and they told me that there was a $15 co-pay for a cleaning (which we didn't get). So I paid $30 which I shouldn't have paid, but I guess I'm grateful to have gotten out of there that cheaply. I've gone to other insurance dentists who operated this way, but this was the most blatant, most money-grubbing place I have ever been to. Trust me, we'll never go back, or to any other insurance dentist. The next one will come with a great recommendation from a trusted friend.
