I had an extremely upsetting experience here with K-tip extensions that ultimately resulted in…read moresignificant hair loss and thousands of dollars spent. During my first install, Mesut applied a keratin treatment over the K-tip bonds after installing them. When I questioned it, he assured me it was fine. Shortly after, the extensions started falling out. I returned and was charged again for another install. I was told the hair would be removed because of the keratin treatment and then reinstalled. By the third install, I was upsold to longer hair, which was noticeably thinner than what I previously had and ended up costing even more than expected. I told him I would actually prefer shorter hair if that meant the extensions would be thicker, but he assured me he would get better, thicker hair on the next install. At the fourth install, with new hair, instead of using thicker extensions, multiple K-tip bonds were melted together into large pieces during installation. When I noticed this at the end of the appointment, I became very upset and started crying. He told me he had done that to make the hair thicker, since I had said I wanted thicker hair. I returned the next day for the fifth time to have the problem corrected. He only removed the large fused pieces from the top of my head. The ones in the back were not properly removed -- instead the backs of the bonds were cut down because the large fused pieces were stabbing my scalp. Eventually I had to go to another salon to have everything professionally removed, and during that process a large amount of my natural hair came out with the fused bonds. This situation cost me thousands of dollars and resulted in the loss of a significant amount of my natural hair after multiple attempts to have the installation corrected. I will not be returning.

We did a full chop to shoulder length hair and did babylights. Looking at her portfolio, and consulting her about what would look good on me, we decided to do babylights with money pieces to really brighten and frame my face. It was a hair transformation I didn't know I needed! I've been hooked ever since and now only trust Tamy to work her magic on me. And obviously when I had my wedding in December 2024, I of course booked with Tamy to get me looking my best. I asked for my hair color to be close to my natural hair color, I didn't want anything too different for my wedding pictures. Tamy knew exactly what to do, and even cut framing pieces for me so that my hair/makeup artist would have pieces to work with for my up-do. I will continue to go to her because she is professional, her prices are very reasonable, and she listens and exceeds my expectations every time. For the salon itself, I've always had friendly interactions with the staff there. Parking can be tough on the weekends, but parking lots and structures are readily available for a few dollars so I always pay for the 3 hours that I expect to be in Tamy's chair. I had balayage highlights and a trim done on December 2nd, totaling $708 including tip. Within 4-5…read moredays I noticed my highlights turning brassy, and by day 7-8 they were extremely brassy. I reached out to Mola on day 8 to ask about coming in for another toner. Due to scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to come back until December 23rd. A toner was applied, which I assumed would be complimentary given how quickly the brassiness appeared, but paid $177 including tip. Unfortunately, within a week the highlights were brassy again. I reached out on December 30th to let her know. She suggested it could be due to hard water, but I do not have hard water, and the brassiness started appearing before I ever washed my hair. After doing some research, I learned that if highlights are not lifted enough, brassy tones can return very quickly. I asked if some of the highlights could be corrected, as this was a big financial investment and I was very unhappy with the result. After that, she completely stopped responding to my emails. Being ghosted after spending nearly $900 total is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I expected better communication and accountability.

At one point my hair was overly damaged from another salon (think bleach, damaged hair and lots of broken strands) and he was honest about how long it would take to trim and grow it back to my waist again. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes if he's wrapping up another client, etc. First part of the appt is going over what I want to achieve. Then hair wash. Cut. Blow dry and style. He's straight to the point and there's no chit chatting. I'm usually out of there within an hour or so. There's no bathroom available, so make sure you get your business done before your appt. If you need to go, there's Starbucks across the street. As for parking, there's plenty of metered parking. But if you're not sure how long you'll be there, there's 2 hour free parking across the street from El Camino. The salon itself is hidden and on the 2nd floor.
