I lost my hair about a month ago while undergoing chemo and have been looking high and low for good wig places. Shopping online is very daunting and you really can't get a good wig without trying something on. Philip was very nice, taking time to explain to me the differences in the wig cap types and letting me try on different ones so that I could feel the difference in the cap, weave and hair. He also took time measuring my head so that we'd find just the right size. The place has a pretty good selection of wigs to try as well, so we found a good fit for my head in a wig that really looked just like my hair used to, which is awesome. Cancer sucks so anything that can help you feel like your old self is a godsend. I can't wait until it arrives. read more

Finding this store was a dream come true for my mom who has alopecia. She had purchased wigs from a different store and was left not liking them, not understanding how to properly put them on, and generally sad with the entire experience. We talked her into trying a different store. We feel so fortunate to have found Beauty Atelier. Not only did the owner (Philip) provide an excellent experience for my mom but also the education and compassion that was sorely missing from the other store. He took the time to talk with us about what she wanted and didn't want. Discussed the pros and cons of partial hair pieces vs full wigs, exactly how to put them on and then let her practice while he gave feedback. We ended up ordering a wig she was so much more happy with than the first shop. If this wasn't enough the owner offered to look at the wigs my mom purchased from the other shop. We made a second appointment and Philip advised my mom on her previously purchased wigs. Wigs we once thought were awful, were suddenly, with the proper instruction and Phillip's styling, beautiful. I cannot tell you how kind, helpful, and knowledgeable this business is. My mom has been going through chemo, and this was our first experience with wigs. We were given so much information about how to properly fit a wig, how to wash and care for it, and tried on many different styles. We picked out two wigs that my mom is thrilled with. I walked in without an appointment, intending to buy a wig for a costume, and I was offered the same polite and respectful service that the ladies dealing with chemo mentioned below. The shop is very clean and the proprietor takes care to fit you with several styles. The wig I found was phenomenal and people thought that it was my real hair. It cost about $80. I wanted to buy a wig because I loss hair due to chemo for my cancer treatment. My sister helped me find this store. When she called, the owner, Philip, was very nice. He said normally an appt would be helpful but we can walk in as well. I can see why an appt is important because he spends time talking about the types of wigs, trying them on and caring for them. Philip knows his wigs and understood my needs. It also helps if you know what style you want. There's a lot to choose from. I got my wig and I feel great wearing it without always having to wear a hat. It feels very comfortable. The care is easy. They have hair extensions as well, lots of selection to choose from. Wow! I could not recommend this place enough. I am not one to write reviews but Phillip really deserves it. I went with my grandmother to try on some wigs after her first round of chemo. Phillip was so patient and went above a beyond by describing the benefits of synthetic vs real hair. We had a lot of questions and he was very knowledgable in all aspects. My grandmother tried 10+ different wigs and he was always happy to indulge us. He constantly stressed that we should sleep on our decision and did not pressure us to buy anything. The young man who runs this place was fantastic. Having cancer is horrible loosing your hair is horrible but you have to go through it if you want to live! After starting chemo a few months ago, we found this place while searching online and were thrilled that it wasn't too far from home. In the last few months I have been in this store a total of 4 times and bought three wigs. The first time I went with my mom, 2 best friends, and my 10 year old daughter. We were a large group with lots of energy and we were all trying on wigs even though it was just me that needed one. The guy who runs the shop was just as helpful to my friend trying on a Billy Idol type wig as he was to me trying to find something I could wear every day. Since then we have been back multiple times trying to find specific colors and styles. He is ALWAYS exceptionally patient and never seems concerned whether we purchase that day or not. We have been thrilled with the customer service and product and would highly recommend them to others who either need a wig for medical reasons or just want one for fun! read more
