I decided to give it a try because the trendy place I was going to wasn't consistent and the lack of hand washing as well as cleaning up between appointments was becoming shocking. My first appointment I was hooked. When I was laying there with my eyes closed I was hoping so badly I would love my lashes because Ivonne is the sweetest person and her hands were so delicate, she was truly caring making sure I was comfortable. When I opened my eyes my lashes never looked so good! Just that day I had 3 random people compliment my lashes and asked if they were real. Then the real test begins... how well will they stay. Almost three weeks later they still looked so good and I could've probably have waited a bit longer to get a fill but I prefer to go more often. I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes and when the owner came back it was the most awkward greeting ever. Not very friendly and very informal. We walked back to the room and she asked me to lay on the bed. No questions were asked about what kind of look I wanted, how long I wanted to the lashes etc. Every time I have ever gone in for extensions I have always had a 3-5 minute consultation and the employees always made sure to discuss the right look for me. I went ahead and just followed along. (My mistake). When I was finished, the lashes were incredibly long (I had asked by myself to look more natural) and they did not taper down as you got closer to the increase of my eye. I thought I looked way to glam for what I had asked and it did not follow the shape of my eye at all. As for the aftermath.... All my friends and family knew I had extensions the minute they saw me. When I have had them in the past people would notice something special about the eyes but never knew I had lashed until I told them. These just looked way to fake for my shape of eye. At all establishments I have been to before, the lashes ALWAYS lasted 3-4 weeks on my eyes. It has been 1/5 weeks and every single lash has fallen off of my right eye and I only have half left on my left eye. Not to mention that when I have been looking at the ones that fall out...they have 2-3 of my real lashes attached to them. Every lash specialist I have ever been to says that should never happen. Finally when I got home my eye was really irritated in the corner. I got close to the mirror and realized some of my bottom lashes were glued up into the extension on the top. The only solution was to pluck my bottom lash. PAINFUL! All in all, I am sad this place wasn't what I expected but I am now going to a different place tomorrow to get the few that remain removed and receiving a whole new full set....1.5 weeks later... Could have been an off day, but I wasn't impressed. :-/

I had recently moved and was looking for a new lash artist I could see consistently and build a long-term professional relationship with. Before booking, I reviewed Kelly's website, Yelp page, and booking requirements. I understood that she had a strict cancellation policy requiring the full appointment price, and I provided my credit card information to secure the appointment. I booked a new-client lash fill, brow wax, and brow tint. On the day of the appointment, my car repair was taking longer than expected, so I texted Kelly to give her a heads-up. She initially said she could be flexible by up to an hour, which I appreciated, while also reminding me of her cancellation policy. As we continued texting, Kelly informed me that she would need to remove all of my existing lashes, even though they were only about a week old. This was not clearly listed as a requirement on her website or booking platform. There was an optional add-on to remove lashes from another artist, but nothing stating that a full removal was mandatory. Although I was frustrated, I was willing to accept that. What ultimately changed the situation was learning that July 31 was Kelly's final day working in Seattle because she was moving to California. This was not disclosed on her website or booking platform. She told me she had announced it on Instagram, but I do not believe a new customer should be expected to search through every social-media account for such important information before booking. People who receive lash extensions are generally looking for an ongoing artist, not someone who will remove their current lashes, perform one service, charge a new-client rate, and then immediately leave the state. Had I known she was relocating, I never would have booked the appointment. I asked Kelly whether she would consider splitting the cancellation charge because this significant information had not been disclosed. She could have charged me for the lash service but waive the brow wax and tint--anything that demonstrated some accountability or willingness to meet me halfway as I understand the value of her time. She refused. I never disputed that I had agreed to her cancellation policy. My concern was that a material fact about her business--her final day in Seattle--was not disclosed during the booking process. Kelly could also clearly see that a brand-new client had booked an appointment on her final day and could have contacted me so I could make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I felt that there was no effort to acknowledge the situation, provide reasonable customer service, or take any responsibility for the lack of transparency. My experience was disappointing, and I feel like taking my money was more important to her than ensuring a prospective customer was taken care of.
