I was provided a towel to cover myself, given privacy while undressing, and the sugarist clearly explained the sanitation process before starting. She also let me know wipes are available in the bathroom or at the front desk upon request. It is super easy to book an appointment with them. I did mine online and everything was very straight forward. I went in for the lips and had never done sugaring. Bianca worked with me and she was absolutely wonderful. I had done threading and waxing in the past, but not sugaring, so Bianca was great in telling me what the differences were, and what made sugaring special compared to the other two types of hair removal. She was very knowledgable and was able to answer all the questions I had. Basically, it's easier on the skin. The place is very clean and pretty cute! I loved the purple themed rooms and tints. I've been coming to Sugar Plum for close to 8 years for Brazilians and will never venture away. They are always so kind and respectful and make me feel really comfortable. The facilities are really clean and super hygienic. Kiara is my go to gal. When I moved from Seattle to the Eastside, my gal at the Ballard studio recommended I see Kiara. I used to see her in the Kirkland studio and now I've followed her here to Bellevue. She is hilarious and we laugh my entire session. Staff is friendly, service is subpar. 2nd time trying this chain, went in for a Brazilian -- afterwards, I noticed a missed area and brought it up to the tech, and she took me back in for a touch up. However, I went home and saw she still missed other areas. Disappointing service-- feels like they do the minimum to get you in and out. They also have you strip down in front of them which is a little awkward and uncomfortable... A little shocking too that their base price ($90) is more than I pay in NYC (for better service)! I had 3 services today with Kali! I love coming to see her! I met Kali at the Kirkland studio and have continued seeing her at the Bellevue studio. I have learned a lot more about caring for my skin working with her! I have not had my brows done in a long time and was nervous from past experiences, but Kali took the time to talk with me thoroughly about what I wanted for my brows, checked in before she was done and shaped them so beautifully! I want to start off by mentioning that I ended up getting the dates wrong and missed my scheduled appointment but when I called they were able to get me in for the very next day. The customer service was amazing. It was my first time getting sugared so I was pretty nervous leading up to it but after I met my technician Missy I felt way more comfortable as she explained everything and told me what to except which helped so much. She was very thorough and answered any questions I had as I was getting sugared. Missy was very easy going and super supportive and I am very grateful that I had such a positive first experience. Avery is literally a miracle-worker. I am a middle eastern woman with a lot of dark hair, and she manages to make me look airbrushed. If this would the 1300s, she would be burned as a witch. Once upon a time, my friend and I dared each other to go get a Brazilian wax because we thought it was something so wild to do and check off our bucket list(we're pretty boring so this is considered exciting, lol) and happened to found Sugar Plum in Wallingford near where my friend went to school. It was indeed painful being first timers, but the staff are so professional and empathic that it made it easier. Sugaring was a new concept to us but we got educated on why it's better than waxing and it really is! Throughout the years, Sugar Plum expanded to many more locations, I was so happy when they made their way to Kirkland because I really hated driving to Seattle and finding parking, but I still went out of my way for Sugar Plum. Now it's even more convenient for us being in Bellevue!!! This location is in the same parking lot as Mercury's Coffee flagship store. Avery helped me today and she is very pleasant to work with. They are doing 50% off as a grand opening special until Halloween. It is very easy to do online booking to see what is available, something should match your schedule. If I ever needed anything last minute, there is always availability at other locations also, they are all consistent. Cons: Service was sub par. They didn't remove all hair for brazilian Charges are more expensive than others. Even VIP pricing.
