Kasie recommended I try laser hair removal since I have coarse, curly hair, and it has truly been life-changing. As someone with dark skin and 4C hair who has always struggled with ingrown hairs, scarring, and irritation, the difference has been incredible. My hair BARELY grows back now, and when it does it's very thin. I no longer deal with constant ingrowns or dark spots left from scarring. Kasie is extremely attentive, communicative during every appointment, and always makes sure I'm comfortable and know exactly what to expect. Getting a wax is painful enough, but visiting Studio Wax is such a painless experience. I'm so happy I found this gem, as I don't imagine getting a wax anywhere else. You have to try it! I was in desperate need of a wax, so I saw the positive Yelp reviews and it just so happened I was having dinner with friends at Monsoon where nearby was Studio Wax. I decided to just walk in and make an appointment. I wish I had found this place sooner! The very friendly employee at the front desk easily helped me make an appointment to a time that worked well for me. Until my appointment, I received reminder e-mails and texts, which was helpful, given how busy my schedule is. The day before my appointment, I even received a text message saying there is a parade during my appointment, so they provided detailed instructions on how to avoid traffic and get to the parking garage. Amazing! The parking garage for Studio Wax is located in the retail space of Courtyard Off Main, which is a short walk across from the building where Studio Wax is located. You can also find street parking on Main Street. The studio is right next to Monsoon and Sweat Circuit. I saw Julie for my appointment and she was absolutely wonderful. She was super friendly and I could tell she really took her time to get all the hairs out. She checked in with me throughout my time and made sure that my waxing job looked good to me before doing anything more. I highly recommend making a waxing appointment with Julie. First of all, the women here are sooo wonderful and helpful! The studio is also always so clean and I can usually get an appointment within a couple of days. Shout out to my girl Kristen, she has been doing my eyebrows for a little over a year and a half. I was consistently getting waxes with Kristen until I had to switch to tweezing because of using tretinoin and various harsh acne products. At first I was sort of weary of tweezing but Kristen does such an amazing job, she's gentle and so good at carving out my brows.
