Our stylist was great and gave a good haircut. Unfortunately the store is guilty of false advertisement. I took my 12 year old daughter for their 12 and under haircut at $32. Paid to reserve a spot for $15, which was fine. At the end of the appointment we're told because she had a lot of hair it would be the teen pricing at $65, double the cost. I don't mind paying a little more for having thick hair, but double??? No where on their website states that they would possibly double the cost at will. This is why I stopped going there for appointments personally, because they would nickel and dime you for every little thing. Thought I'd give them a try with my kids, but needless to say we won't be returning. I do not recommend going there unless you like to be surprised with being up charged. On top of that, expect to pay a 3% charge for using a credit card. read more

My daughter has gone to this salon many times for a updo and haircuts. She made an appt online for an updo her prom. 20 minutes before her appt they called and cancelled and had no other appts available to cover for their mistake. They said the stylist couldn't do an updo even though the appt app said she could. The hair stylists are nice and do an awesome job BUT always call the salon and confirm the stylist can actually do the service...if not you will end up without an appt before an important event! Have been using L'Oréal at this salon for a few years now. She does excellent color and cuts and is a sweet person in general. The salon offers other services as well. I've had facials, nail services and massages, although not recently. But always had a great experience. Definitely suggest L'Oréal for hair, though. You won't be disappointed! read more

My teenage daughters bought me a gift card for $170 from this salon. I changed wallets at some point and the card remained in the old wallet where I re-discovered it today. I could not remember the balance so I called the salon and was told that the cards expire after one year and so the $170 was no longer available! I have been a customer for many, many years and my daughters have also used their services and that is why they bought the gift card for me knowing that I would enjoy it. I am giving this place 3 stars because of a few things I believe need improvement. My girlfriend and I received a spa package as a Christmas gift from our brother in law and we decided to put it to good use this weekend while everyone else was bombarding the department stores. I called ahead and booked 2 packages that retailed for $155 a piece. They included a 60 minute massage, mani and pedi and lunch, advertised as "Spa Cuisine" these turned out to be an option for the guest between Thai Cottage and Olive Garden. We weren't able to get an early appointment and had to settle for a 2:45 instead. The package is said to last about 3.5 hours. When I called to book, the receptionist sounded extremely annoyed to be asked to do her job. She asked me what food we would like and I replied " Thai Cottage" please. After hanging up with her she called back to tell me that Thai Cottage would be closing about 15 minutes after our appointments started and asked if we would like to have Olive Garden instead. I politely said no seeing as myself nor my girlfriend like Olive Garden. I upgraded my manicure from a classic to an acrylic refill since that is what my nails are. I agreed to pay the difference and was told this wouldn't be a problem. My manicurist/ Pedicurist Annie was exceptional, as well as Julie my girlfriends manicurist. Now on to the not so good stuff! 1. Although we did not take part in any lunch we were not discounted for the lack of a meal or given some incentive to make up for it. 2. I gave the check out girl 2 $20 off coupons I had printed from their website. My total was still $335 before tip. Now my math isn't great but $155X2 is $310 add in the hot stones that I requested and the difference between my acrylic mani and a regular mani, you still shouldn't be above the total of our gift cards $340. The coupons were not applied. 3. When we arrived we were not greeted. One of the staff members actually walked right in front of me and said nothing when I said hello. 4. Although I was assured on the phone that acrylic manicures were possible, when I sat down to receive mine, they had maybe 3 acrylic colors, all various shades of pink. My manicurist was actually confused on how to file off the acrylic I had and refill with another color. 3 different staff members came to check on us periodically, but it came off more like a teenager being asked to dance for auntie June, rather than professionals who are actually concerned about the comfort of their clients. All in all I had a decent experience here. I really enjoyed my massage and my mani pedi. I hope that they can get these few glitches in order so that people who drive over 50 miles to partake in their services like we did, don't leave wanting something more. read more

I love the people that do my hair for color and cut, but even though I am a regular every-4-weeks customer, the front desk manages to mess up my appointments almost monthly. I have a back up color & cut person at the salon, but today they led me to believe I would get her, but she couldn't do my cut and I didn't know that until I am standing there with wet hair. I paid for my color and walked out. It takes a while to find a good cutter and when you do, you don't want anybody else. I do not want to be switched around every month because they can't manage their appointment book. By the way, I am booked out until December, so you might ask what went wrong? I am asking myself the same thing! I have been there for 2 years. The last place I was at was 7 years! L'Oreal is a really great stylist. She has been doing my cut/color for many years, and I trust her for consistent high quality services. She's always on time, friendly, and attuned to my needs. Also, she doesn't push the product line, but if I mention a problem that an Aveda product might help with, she'll give me the pros and cons of that choice. I do love the Aveda products though. There is one in particular, a "smoothing lotion", that I use before air-drying my hair. It really stops the frizz and smells so good! read more

I give 4 stars to this place. Couple of weeks ago I saw Joe to colour my hair. I showed him a picture (see pic 0) and explained what I wanted! As you can see in the picture I asked for a balayage and all he did was a single brown colour with an orangish tone. He didn't ask me anything about the color and I thought, since I showed him the picture, he knows what he is doing! He was so proud that he could do my hair in less than half an hour but that's not what I wanted or asked for (see pic 1). As you can see in pic 0, the model has dark base color with brownish highlights, and what I got was very far away from that. He is so rude, nasty, just unprofessional and curse people like nothing! He called me F...ing Bit...!!! Today I saw Amy to correct the color. She is such a blessing, she listened to what I told her carefully and did exactly what I asked for! She is so professional and excellent in colors. We went through the hair color chart and selected the base and the Balayage highlights together. She spent almost 5 hours on my hair to do a perfect Balayage. She used multiple hair treatments to not damage my hair. To get that orangish nasty color off my hair she color it all black (see pic 2) and then she bleached the ends and used the toner (see pic 3). She was so nice and her recommendations for getting that picture look exceeded my expectations. She did care about me, she made 100% sure that I am happy with what she did. She did care about the result rather than finishing my hair quickly and have somebody else on her chair! Her price range is very reasonable too. After all Amy did for me today, she thanked me for letting her do my hair! She is just an amazing stylist. I love love her! read more

I will never go here ever again! The absolute worst customer service in the world! Shaida the bratty "manager" has NO idea how to talk to a customer. During my service with Sunny a stylist next to us flung color and it got on my brand NEW jeans. Sunny said she would discount my service the price of my jeans so she could take care of it. My first thought was that's very nice, well because they can make up any price they want she just tacked on an additional $80. They charged me $190 for 10 foils!!! My color was terrible and now my jeans are ruined. At the front counter Shaida approached me and just started telling me this is what I had to pay for. I simply asked her for a breakdown of my services trying to find out why it was so expensive and they kept stuttering. I left almost in tears! Prior to this incident I was planning on writing a review leaving 2 stars and now if I could give 0 I would. This salon is DIRTY and looks nothing like the pictures on Yelp. Don't go to L'Oréal for extensions or cut! She's obviously not had enough training to work on her own. She needs some extensive training to get to where the other more experienced stylists are. She will butcher your hair and lie to your face that she didn't cut anything when the hair is lying right there on the floor. I went in to get my extensions move up. She haphazard put them back in and then had to cut about two inches off them b/c she didn't align them by length. But losing the extension length wasn't ever the worst part. She cut over and inch and a half to two inches of sections of my own hair WITHOUT even asking. I thought she was combing it until I saw huge clumps of my hair fall to the ground. She then said she was dusting the ends like last time. I told her to stop because she had cut well over an inch of my own hair. She lied and said no. I told had that the big clumps on the floor were not "dusting." There wasn't anything that she could say to that. She had cut my hair without my permission to blend it into the shoddy job she did on the extension placement. AVOID her! read more

I used to work next door at the teahouse and I thought it was really convenient to go get haircuts with L'Oreal after work! She is the ABSOLUTE best and every time I sit in the chair, it's never a dull one. I don't trust my haircuts with anyone else. She is almost always booked and that says something! I recommended many of my guy friends to her and they are all still regular customers. L'Oreal is always flexible with whatever look I want and is so sweet. She even offers advice for my skin and life as well! L'Oreal is definitely someone you want to meet and have in your life-- and cut your hair! I also get my eyebrows done with Paige! Paige goes above and beyond with my eyebrows and goes the extra mile just to make sure they look sharp and natural! A few months ago, my eyebrows were non-existent and had so, so many strays. But after 2 appointments a month, my brows now look full, healthy, and natural! I even have tails! Paige remembered exactly what to do with my eyebrows with every appointment WITHOUT me even reminding her and I think that really tops it off with her amazing customer service. Just like my haircuts, getting my brows done is never a dull experience and it is never too painful! She's really easy to talk to and really takes care of you! Massage therapist was good until she missed my left leg while on my stomach, but she was really nice and meant well. Facial was good. I went to check out and they don't let you add a tip to your credit card... what?! I was told it has to be cash or I could write a check. How many people actually carry checks with them any more?? The Yelp community must think I'm a princess that gets pedicures all the time, judging from my many spa reviews. I'm not addicted, I'm not! In any case, my frequent trips to various places simply means that I can be a better contributor to Yelp. So that justifies the expense, right? Right! Anyway, Beauty Indulgence is one of the few full service spas/salons that I found in Sugar Land on the internet. When I arrived for my 10 AM appointment, the place was bustling from all the activity -- there were at least a dozen women already there, getting their hair done. Beauty Indulgence's pedicure gets two stars because -- while the pedicure was $40, I was asked when the pedicure started to spend $2 more to purchase a new block for callous removal. Otherwise, an old one would be reused. Can we say, disgusting? The $2 cost should be folded into the price. I'd rather pay $45 or so and not have to know that they actually save used materials caked with other people's dead skin cells. Hygiene and cleanliness didn't seem to be as much of a priority again when my nail technician was comfortable using her gloved hands to open the trash can to throw something away ... three times. Don't get me wrong, the service was otherwise wonderful. The ladies were very sweet and gave GREAT massages. In fact, I think I got three separate massages during the hour pedicure. The nail room is beautiful, with a very calming decor and windows. It's just unfortunate that sanitation doesn't appear to be emphasized throughout the treatment. With all the risk in bacteria being transferred during a pedicure, I won't be visiting Beauty Indulgence to get my nails done. read more

I recently went on a quest of sorts to find a great place for a mani-pedi for my elderly father, who suffers mid-stage ALZ, and me. I tried several in the area. Most were busy, crowded, smelly places with a rush in, rush out policy, & nail techs treated by owners as assembly line machines, leaving them tired, dour, and impatient. I decided one afternoon after shopping at Kroger, to walk into the Beauty Indulgence Spa that sits in a plain brown strip center caddy corner to Kroger. As I opened the door, I was immediately impressed by the tranquil, upscale lobby. Don't let the dour little facade of the center fool you. Inside is quite lovely, selling Aveda product and trendy jewelry. But what MOST impressed me was the lack of chemical stench that permeates most nail salons. Of course, this really IS a full service Aveda spa, which means one can also get anything from a haircut to massage. I explained to the receptionist that I was looking for a tranquil spot for my elderly father to relax while having his nails cared for. That is when I was introduced to bubbly Julie. She was all smiles and so pleasant. She took me on a small tour of the well decorated spa, including the private nail area. Now, this is a small, intimate room, with only four manicure desks and three top of the line massage/whirlpool pedicure chairs. It is quiet enough to actually hear the tranquil music wash over you as you are pampered. My father and I are now regulars, addicted to the friendly and capable Julie, and my tech, Wanda. I love the fragrant heat packs to relax your neck that the ladies greet you with, along with a beverage. Dad and I enjoy our 2 hour spa mani-pedi's ($75.) that are not rushed from one step to another. (there are shorter packages for those in a hurry!) The paraffin actually stays on long enough to work! As does the Aveda relaxation oils they use to massage hands, arms, calves and feet. The shiatsu massage chairs are new and wonderful! Customers are given the choice of hot mud or exfoliating scrubs depending on need and customer preference. This isn't a one size fits all process. The hot lava rock massage is heaven! Julie and Wanda make a fuss over my dad, who happily sips his wine and basks in every minute of their kindness. They take great care of his hands and feet for which I am very grateful, but they also care for his spirit with their happy chatter and smiles. He really looks forward to our spa days! As for me, Wanda is a great nail artist, including crystals, and knows how to paint nails quickly and well. I don't know what that other reviewer meant by being asked to pay more for unused equipment? I have never had this happen here, so I have to assume they mistook this salon for another in the area. I get other services done there and I was limping and even had to stand up while getting my hair done and Michael is their masseuse, he saw me limping and asked if I was ok and I said I cant sit and I hurt, he said he knows how to fix that and I made an appointment and after he worked on me i was able to walk, I also did a Swedish massage after I was better and was so relaxing. I had a back facial, because I wanted a good exfoliation due to there being places on my back that I can't reach. For the price of $90.00, I expected more. My back was soft and smooth, but I felt like I could of had my boyfriend do the same thing for me at home. Staff was very friendly.
