That shifted my IG algorithm to include things to do...and I've never been happier. I saw a video depicting their Hammam treatment where you hang out in steam, they soap you up, and then exfoliate you. Never done it, asked the wife, and I booked it. Glad we did, phenomenal experience. Detailed step by step of our experience to help the uninitiated know what to expect. 1. Online booking. Simple, fast, requires 20% deposit. 10/10. 2. Confirmation text to check if I needed to reschedule. 10/10. 3. We arrived 10 minutes early. Front door was locked but the desk attendant let us in quickly and relocked the door. Considering the level of undress we were about to be in, 100% on board with that. 10/10. 4. Check in and sit in these awesome high-back padded chairs while we wait. 10/10. 5. Quickly greeted by the staff who will be providing our treatment and led to a small changing room. There they instruct us to strip down and put on disposable underwear, a nice robe, and slide on sandals. I'm a big guy, so they switched out the 3 items for bigger versions. I was happily surprised they had a 4XL robe and sandals to fit my size 16 feet. The paper underwear was made of the same material as a dentist bib/disposable surgical gown, and covered what boxers would cover-down to mid/lower thigh. Wife's paper undies were more like a string bikini bottom. We were not quite sure what to expect, but it provided for an appropriate level of modesty. The room contained multiple lockers with keys so that we were able to secure our belongings. 10/10. 6. We were then led to a steamy room, removed our robes, and carefully helped up onto the padded platforms. Once seated we were rinsed with warm water and soaped up. Then they got us bottled water (cold or room temperature, our choice) and left us to steam in the the 103°F room. Sweat, sweat, sweat. They checked in a couple of times to make sure we were okay, which I appreciated. That steam was no joke. 10/10. 7. After maybe 10-15 minutes, we moved into another room that looked identical, rubber mats on elevated platforms. But this time we laid down and the treatments started. Warm water poured over body, light scrubbing of face, and some treatment painted on my face. Then it was really same thing over and over with different parts of the body. Pour water, scrub with the mits, and exfoliate years of dead skin. Years. 10/10. 8. The women who provided our treatments were great, social in response to our talking but not trying to talk the whole time. Gotta love that with any kind of spa treatment, let the client decide the talking level. At some point, she rinsed off the face treatment and scrubbed my face a little more. 10/10. 9. So they keep doing their thing, having us move arms, tilt neck, roll on side, etc., so that they can get to all of our parts. We'll, most. Going back to the distinct differences in our disposable underwear, wife got way more of her upper legs/buttocks scrubbed. My scrubbing stopped just above the knee and resumed above the waste. And honestly, I get why-guys can be/are creeps. It did leave, however, a large area of me unexfoliated. 9/10. 10. After that, had us sit up, more water pouring to rinse off the dead skin and touching up spots that needed a little more scrubbing. Once rinsed and cleaned, got a scalp treatment/shampooing. Nice touch. 10/10. 11. They helped us put our robes back on and we were led to our changing room were they did a rose water spritz and argon oil serum face treatment. We were then left alone to get dressed. 10/10. 12. Ended the experience in the Tea Room where we enjoyed wonderful hot Moroccan tea and some baklava. What a wonderful treat! I went here with a friend for a couples massage during a midweek spa visit, thinking it would be a…read morerelaxing experience since it was not very busy. I had actually been here a few years ago and remembered it being decent, which is why I suggested it. Unfortunately, this visit was one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. Before the appointment, we both clearly noted that we wanted strong pressure and listed the areas that needed attention. I specifically mentioned knots in my back and neck, and my friend noted pain and tension in her shoulders and upper back. Despite that, there was almost no pressure during either of our massages. I even asked during the session for more pressure, but I was ignored. The entire experience was uncomfortable. During the hot compress and hot stone portion, one of the therapists kept placing the hot stones directly on the massage bed near me. Because of that, I kept accidentally touching them during the massage, and they were hot enough to burn me. More than once I reacted because it hurt. My friend even asked me if I was okay because she could hear me reacting. At first she thought maybe it was from too much pressure, but I told her it was actually because the hot stones kept burning me where they had been left on the bed. The therapist was aware this was happening and still did not move them or put them somewhere safer. That was not only uncomfortable, it felt careless and unsafe. When it came time for the actual massage, very little oil was used, to the point that it felt rough and uncomfortable on the skin. I asked for more oil more than once and again was ignored. Since it was supposed to be a quiet and relaxing environment, I did not want to make a scene, and I assumed maybe my friend was having a better experience, so I tried to get through it. Afterward, my friend immediately said she also had a bad experience. She mentioned that she usually relaxes enough to fall asleep during massages, but this time she could not because it was so uncomfortable. She also said she barely felt like she received a real massage and that her problem areas were not addressed at all. We both had very specific tension points, and neither of us felt that those areas were worked on in any meaningful way. What made the situation worse was how it was handled at the front desk and by the manager. When I politely explained that neither of us had a good experience, the first response I got was asking whether I was paying for both services together or separately. There was no acknowledgment of the complaint itself. When I asked if there was a manager or owner I could speak with, one of the front desk staff walked away without explaining what was happening, while the other just continued processing payment. When the manager finally came out, her response was dismissive and defensive. Instead of listening, she basically implied that even though I requested strong pressure, the therapist may not have been able to provide it because of my body size and because the therapist was smaller. That was inappropriate and unprofessional. If that was truly the issue, it should have been communicated beforehand instead of giving me a poor service and then explaining it away afterward. I also specifically mentioned the issue with the hot stones burning me and being left on the bed, and that concern was completely ignored as well. That was one of the most upsetting parts of the experience because it was a legitimate safety issue, not just a matter of preference. I also got the impression that the therapists were inexperienced. The manager's attitude only made things worse. She kept focusing on the payment and mentioned that she could have given 10% off, as though that addressed the actual problem. I was never refusing to pay. I simply wanted the business to acknowledge that the service was poor and handle the complaint professionally. Even the refund and recharge process for the discount turned into an awkward and unnecessary ordeal. On top of that, the manager suggested bringing the therapist out to question things directly, which felt confrontational and uncomfortable, especially since we were calm and respectful the entire time. Overall, the massage itself was poor, but the customer service afterward was what really guaranteed I will not return. There are too many good massage places in Houston to spend money somewhere that provides such an uncomfortable experience and then responds with attitude instead of accountability. Mine were way too large and kept coming off down the hallway. The massage I chose lasted 1 hour and the best part of course was when they walk on you since they get a little deeper that way. It's just a completely different feeling than a masseuse using their hands. Overall, customer service was excellent throughout the entire visit from all employees. Michelle is very experienced (17 years) and she prepped the room with essential oils/aromatherapy and talked to me about what I needed and wanted. Then she actually remembered what I wanted and needed and delivered it! (So many people have not done that). At the end gave me some great tips for: self care until my next appointment, a way to prep right before my next appointment, and good information that I should avoid working out after a massage to avoid injury (workout before hand if it is not a rest day). I told her I wanted deep tissue/heavy pressure and she did just that but in a manner that wasn't over bearing and still got deep into my muscles. I can't wait until my next appointment.

This is why I stopped going there for appointments personally, because they would nickel and dime you for every little thing. Thought I'd give them a try with my kids, but needless to say we won't be returning. I do not recommend going there unless you like to be surprised with being up charged. On top of that, expect to pay a 3% charge for using a credit card.
