Needed to use a fair amount of ClassPass credits before my monthly renewal and decided to check out Beauty Innovations. I chose the mini facial + infrared sauna. Parking: plenty of free parking although I came around 5:30 on a weekday so it may have been emptier because of this. Service: Blanca was amazing! You start in the infrared sauna, which is in a private room. You're in the sauna for about 30 minutes, and there's a towel laid down for you in the sauna. You can choose to sit there naked, since no one will come, although I came in a bathing suit so I sat in my bathing suit. They also provide you with a cool towel to wipe off after since you'll be sweating a lot in the sauna. Bring a water bottle or the spa has water. You can connect your phone to play music but I had brought a book so I read in the sauna. It is a bit smaller compared to other infrared saunas that I have been in. The light on the door gets hot, so if you're larger or taller, this might feel a bit cramped especially because you'll need to avoid touching the light on the door. Next, you'll get your mini facial! Blanca focused on extractions for me, as well as a charcoal mask and oxygen infused with antioxidants. I 1000% DO NOT recommend Blanca/Beauty Innovations. I started coming here last year when coming across all these "great" google reviews, which I believe are likely fake or purchased (check Yelp and you will see the reality of many other negative experiences other clients had, but are somehow not present on google ). I was in a rush to get an appointment asap & her salon was the only one with availability &now I know why. Blanca comes across as kind &pretending she cares but all she cares about is $$$. I purchased facials & Blanca recommended some products that would supposedly help my skin. My skin started to get worse after coming here. I experienced significant breakouts around my jaw. She herself realized. But she didn't care instead she said she was so busy & she would call me back when she was available to see me. She had already charged me a package of several facials. She didn't care because she'd collected all the money upfront. I told her I would go somewhere else to have them help me get my skin under control. She said I had one year from date of purchase to finish using the remaining and refused to give me a refund on remaining facials. She didn't care about my skin at all clearly just keeping my money. I then tried to re-gift these facials to friends and who have decent skin, as I figured at least someone would get use of it rather than my money go to waste. She refused as well, then told me "I'm not going to text you back anymore." What a JOKE!! I then went onto yelp and saw others with similar horrible experiences. If you're having a good experience, consider yourself lucky because if something were to go wrong she will gaslight you &become vengeful. I had to get multiple parties involved to try to get my money back including the BBB which she refused to cooperate with as can be seen from the unresolved claim on the profile. She also saves credit card information without permission. She "accidentally" charged me hundreds of dollars on my credit card &stated that she had "no idea" how that happened. She said she would Zelle me the same day for the mistake. She did not. It took me over a week to get my card refunded. I've also aggressively been getting marketing texts for sales and offers I did NOT consent to. To me this is a low quality salon. I'm now going to 1000% better studio. I was also informed the products she recommended were unnecessary, & was told to not use them anymore so that money went to waste as well. She is all about the $$$. Lesson learned - DON'T rely on reviews, go with a family / friend referral that's been going somewhere for a long time. After this experience I got referred from friends who have been going to someone for years and I'm just upset I didn't ask sooner. Also quality salons don't have constant sales and aggressive messaging begging for clients. The salon I go to never has sales because she doesn't need and is in high demand. Really dig deep and make sure you look at lowest reviews on yelp. They are very similar to my horrible experience with Blanca. Really do your research!!! This is literally just a slicing of the cake. There's so much more I can share but I'll keep it short. This woman wasted so much of my time & $$$. Sharing my experience so that no one else has to go through it. read more
