Still the best nail salon I have found over the entire South Bay, even after trying other highly rated Yelp businesses. + 5 -star pedicures but... - 3-star manicures I usually don't get manicures as they chip within a day & aren't worth the $ to me, but I opted for a french shellac manicure, which I am told will last several weeks. It started chipping the same day once I got back to work. Within 2 hours. I paid $25 for the shellac, +$5 for french & a $5 tip. For $35, I was really disappointed, especially since I was looking for the same level of service as they do with their pedicures! There was no lotion, no hand massage, & even after I specified that I wanted my nail length as is & repeated the request, my nails were still filed down too short. As a regular, they know me, & I should have gone back to fix it, but since it is such a far drive for me to Los Gatos, I didn't want to return. I am beyond impressed! Beauty Lounge is small; only two clients can be seen at any given time. I love that it was delightfully quiet and peaceful. My pedicure was absolutely fantastic-- impeccable attention to detail, flawless polish application (OPI colors), paraffin, and the most amazing hot stone/ massage ever! It was about an hour, and only $23! These ladies need big tips-- the value of their services is off the charts. I also get a gel manicure/shellac/axxium/whatever you want to call it. Simply put: the best pedicures I've ever received. And that's saying quite a bit, since I've paid lots more and gone all over the world. Granted, it is more expensive than other neighborhood places, but it's very quiet and relaxing here, and the hour-long experience is fantastic. Plus, and most importantly, the end result is better looking feet than you'd get anywhere else. Since the owner gives you the treatment, there is great attention to detail. I feel sort of bad breaking the whole 5 star a thon, but I have to preface my review with that I really really liked these people a lot. I was the first appointment of the day, on a week day, and a rainy day at that. The tile floors made it pretty cold inside, though the ladies were accomodating and hospitable enough to offer me tea and a warm lavender wrap for my shoulders, also pointing the space heater right on me. I got my first gel manicure which has held up really well! Granted my nails are short and brittle, but I can't seem to grow them for the life of me due to constant splits. I got a nice pale shade that basically looked clear. They don't seem to have a vast selection of axxiom shades but probably will as gel catches on more. The nail shaping and gel application was flawless and meticulous. I didn't get any massage for the mani, nor did she soak my nails/trim or push my cuticles back. I saw a lady after me get a regular manicure and she got all of that, so I wonder if it's because the nail needs to be completely dry for a gel manicure? Also, she cut my cuticle and made me bleed with the dremel thing. Completely unintentional and she was very apologetic when I pointed it out, but I noticed that she didn't apply disinfectant or care too much if I bled on her. I would be concerned about that if I were her. She doesn't know what I could possibly have (which is nothing, but still...) The pedicure was AWESOME. I got the BEST massage ever there. The only drawback I can think of to this pedi is that with so many products (lotion, oil, paraffin, etc) that it does something to the nail bed that prevents polish from sticking. I'm only 2 weeks into this pedi and it's already chipped-something that never happens in 4-5 weeks between pedi's at other places. All in all, I'd recommend. I have had many a facial at high end spas but after being introduced to Wencke through a friend I knew I found the best place to get a facial. Wencke is very thorough and uses Eminence Organic Products and Jan Marini. My skin feels like silk when I leave. The facials usually last about 1.5 hours! The manicurists are also great. I think a mani/pedi costs 35 now but still a deal for a 1.5 hour service! read more

This place is AMAZING. My mom and I went here for her birthday recently, and neither of us were disappointed. Her manicure only came out to $12 and my pedicure was only $15. Great prices for the amount of labor that went into making us look and feel fabulous. The treatment lasted for about an hour, I got a hot stone foot massage and a wax with my pedicure which was completely unexpected. The service is great. The two ladies who work here are both Vietnamese and very very nice and thoughtful. It's been almost a month since I got my pedi and my nails still look great. Can I just say..yum yum!! You can actually eat some of the stuff that Wencke puts on your face...it is that pure. I can only do a 1hour facial & get my eyebrows done, otherwise I cannot get off the table I am so relaxed! I've been looking and experimenting with nail salons for the past year and have not found one that has been satisfying in all categories: atmosphere, price, quality of polish, quality of mani and pedi and a location near where I live. So I turned to Yelp and the site is spot on! Beauty Lounge is great. It is small so make an appointment. The prices are amazingly low - so ladies tip well! The pedi includes a through spa bath and scrub, a salt scrub, serious pumicing, trim, file, oil, hot lotion and stone massage, paraffin - they actually leave it on for several minutes and a perfect polish! This was a wonderful pedicure place. They only have two chairs which I really liked because it is more private. The price was $23 - less than it said on the website. That is a great price for what was included: soak, pedicure, scrub, hot rock treatment, foot massage. I think this is best pedicure I can remember having and I would have paid more for it. Sweet ladies, but seriously this place is too small (1 nail desk, 2 pedicure chairs......that's it), they told my friend and I we could get joint manicures together and then we showed up and there's only room for 1 manicure to be done at a time, and they did a horrible job on my shellak manicure. I came home and immediately soaked my nails in acetone and plan to get them done again tomorrow. They look awful.....and they never once touched my cuticles so I have hangnails and bad cuticles although I just paid $25 + $5 tip for a manicure. not good....go someplace else. read more

It had been long since I got pampered with a mani/pedi. I'm usually worried to have them done because my feet and hands have been cut/bruised many times. This time I was a little worried as I went in. Asked them for a french manicure. The service was awesome. My finance and I come here for pedicures and always have a great experience. The pedicure includes hot wax & stone massage, which is usually extra $ at most salons. They always have cute design ideas for the holidays. I've had spider for Halloween & snowman for Christmas. The massage chairs are very comfortable and since there is only two foot spa chairs and one nail station it has a very intimate/boutique feel. I feel terrible writing this review, because I really liked this place overall. Very cute facility, very nice ladies. So far my pedi is great. BUT - and this is a huge BUT - they appear to not sterilize their tools. She took the tools she used on me directly from a round container (like a pencil holder) - not sterilizing solution. In fact, I didn't see any kind of sterilizing solution. But what soured me forever was that as I was waiting for my polish to dry another client came in, and the pedicurist used the same utensils for her without cleaning them!!! I'm sorry, but there is simply no excuse for unsanitary procedures. I thought about walking out at first, but didn't - I will hope that nothing will happen. read more

The most thorough and relaxing mani/pedi I've ever had at any price, but truly a bargain here for only $45! Your pedi starts with a warm spa bath soak, then comes salt scrub, thorough pumicing, oil, and perfect trimming and filing. Then she gives you the most glorious hot rock massaging known to womankind! Then she does all this to your hands, while your lotioned-up feetsies soak in bags of warmed paraffin. Then everything gets buffed and polished to perfection. I'm sure I forgot some steps, but it is all so very relaxing, who cares! Han Le is not only meticulous in her work, but she also happens to be the sweetest of ladies. Her small salon only has 2 spa chairs (both of which happen to be Tru-Touch, the "Rolls-Royce" of spa chairs!), a mani table and the most relaxing of atmospheres. Go and Enjoy! read more

Tried this salon out on a whim... they happened to be open on a Monday (rare) and I was just dropping off a package at the UPS store who shares the same parking lot. I first yelped them and found high marks... then walked in and asked if they might have an opening. They did and boy was I lucky. Thanks to the spot-on reviews of those who have gone before me. The two girls who do mani-pedis are so friendly and do a fantastic job. I see a number of people visit the facialist who is also on staff there who look fantastic... I need to book an appointment with her too! Probably the best hot stone massage with the pedicures I've had in LG or anywhere else for that matter. I've been to a couple other nail salons in LG and this one is the best for your weekly mani/pedi - relaxing and thorough in a calming, quiet salon. It would be be perfect except for the Wencke woman who does the facial services here. She has an attitude problem and it's simply unpleasant when she is aroun. I would never go to her for a facial, she has such a horrible vibe that if affects the mani/pedi staff. Who knows what her problem is but she definitely has one. For a fabulous facial by really welcoming, nice facialists, try Timeless Skin Spa just down the street. The staff are wonderful and the facials are miraculous with fantastic products. And don't let her put you off coming here for a mani/pedi, thankfully she is a one-man-band so spends most of the time in her facial room. read more
