I'm sorry I hate to write bad reviews but this was truly the worst dip manicure/mani pedi experience I've ever gotten. The ladies were so nice, but they had me sit in a swivel chair and then did my pedicure - so no massage chair - and then had me rotate my torso 90° to the right for them to do my nails at the same time. I kept sliding back in my chair unless I fully engaged my core and legs to hold in place, which is not the relaxing vibe I was going for. It was physically uncomfortable to be twisted so far to the side, and the manicure is very bad. I got a dip manicure and they left the nail polish remover on my nails for too long so my nails kept and keep breaking. Additionally, they did not file down the sides or bottom of the dip, so it just looks really bad. I would not come back here. The French pedicure was good, but I can get that anywhere. read more

Sally and Cathy did a lovely gel manicure on my nails. I like to experiment with my nails and decided on a beautiful mauve color (#094) with silver chrome. They have a great selection of colors. The first and previous time I visited Tsume Nails was February 2024 and they had Korean jelly nails but I'm not sure if they offer that selection anymore and didn't ask. I hope to get jelly nails next time if it's still available! I'm happy with my nails this visit (as I was the last time). The silver chrome gives my nails a more festive feel. After having such a great experience with their nail services before, I decided to try their lash extensions this time and wow, they did not disappoint!The technician was super patient and took the time to make sure every lash was perfect. It's extremely disappointing that the quality of service is such trash since I work down the street and coming here to get my nails done would have been so convenient. Either they don't have an esthetic eye, or they have no standards and pride in their work. In my opinion, being in the beauty industry myself, without these qualities you have no business doing this kind of work. Please for the sake of having some dignity, find a new career. I came in for my fist time and after 2 hours got the results of the fist pictures. After showing the owner herself, she apologized and did my nails again saying she will do her best work and take her time (1 hour and 20 min). Her work is in the last picture. I've been coming here for a long time and my nails are always looking healthy. I've made a mistake going to other places and they thinned my real nails, but not at Tsume nail salon, it took me awhile for my nails to grow because my nails were so thin. Now graduated from college, I consistently see Sally and my nails are always great. Before I come home to visit I always have a appointment set up for when I arrive and before I leave. The pedicures are wonderful as well, you can choose from different scented scrubs and masks, there is always paraffin wax, and great massage. I grew up in Los Gatos but I didn't get into fake nails until a few years ago after I moved to downtown LA. I'm visiting my parents here in town to recover from a surgery I had in LA last week. I didn't have a chance to deal with my grown out nails before I left. I got so pissed I just cut all my acrylics off last night thinking I could deal with them all ripped up and short and rough even after filing and buffing. It would only be for a week. I didn't even last 12 hours. I called Tsume Nails today around 12pm to see if I could come in. They said yes and I was seated in there 20 minutes later. I'm used to sitting in salons silent, eyes averted like a lab animal being experimented on. I was attended to by Kayla, who was so sweet and friendly - she even asked my name! I'm not really a micromanagement salon ogre but I still appreciated that Kayla was very attentive to me throughout the process, checking with me to make sure I was happy. My whole life my nails have been incredibly weak, brittle and thin to the point of it being painful so I have to get acrylic on my nails to protect them. I'm a nurse and cannot have chunky big fake nails, and I have trouble with other methods of protecting my nails such as dip and gel don't last but a few days on me. Sally does the most beautiful set of acrylic every time I see her without fail! They always look so clean and natural! AND without fail, can last up to 3 weeks if I need! Hands down the worst gel manicure I've ever had. Length and shape is uneven, gel thickness is super thick, I have paint on the fingers, missing paint along the French tip and the clear coat doesn't cover the nail bed at all. I went in as a walk-in wanting an acrylic fill-in and a design which the staff agreed they could do. This appointment took over 2 hours ending with the woman who was originally working on the design being replaced with another. I wanted yellow but the polish seemed to be giving them trouble so I asked if I should pick another color for the first woman and she said no even though the design was turning out pretty choppy. Once the 2nd woman stepped in it did not get better it looked nothing like the picture and I noticed she was putting on a top coat when the nails weren't done. She said that we have run out of time and that if I wanted it to be done nicer I need to make an appointment. I am seriously displeased as I wish they were honest about not being able to do this design in the first place within the time constraint that I didn't even know we have. The appointment ended with 2 nicks to my fingers and a bad paint job. I had this exact design done somewhere else where I needed the whole acrylic done and it took under 2 hours and came out great. I am going to a different nail place tomorrow to get this fixed. *The owner has been in touch, and I will post another review in July. read more

It's very hard for them to understand their customers and vis versa. They had me look through all kinds of nail polishes to tell me 10 min later that I can only look in the number 400 and up because they are gel. Thanks for telling me that earlier... What a waste of time. One worker who I think is on charge is rude and walks away while I am talking to her. Thanks...The owner actually came up to me just now and explained things, which was understood, but again, nobody else can really communicate with me. So frustrated and don't need this hassle and confusion. High End? Funny, not at all high end. No water offered, no greeting.
