I loved it at first but now I will not be going back. the woman who did my dip filed them so thin, that they are all breaking, my real nails included. one broke after 3 days so I went back, expressed my concerns and they fixed the one nail that was broken but would no address any of my other concerns. things are so expensive these days, I hate to waste money on something that can not last 10 days. read more

I just had a pedicure which was totally disappointing. I opted for a regular pedicure even though the manicurist tried to get me to choose a Spa Pedicure. I sat down at 3:05 and was completely done in less than 25 minutes. I said something to the manicurist that I came in and the person next to me was in the middle of his pedicure and it Was still going on when I was ready to leave. He told me the person next to me had a spa pedicure. In order to have a half was decent pedicure at Beauty Nails, you must opt for the Spa pedicure for over $50. Isn't it amazing that every other place I have ever gone for a regular pedicure, it was relaxing and done leisurely. My pedicure at Beauty Nails was anything BUT relaxing. I stood politely where I could be seen, plainly hoping to be helped, as usual. In the past, this has resulted in "pick a color" and a short wait- no problem. I was 100% ignored for at least a solid 5-10 minutes. I left. Since I've been a long-time customer and the location is convenient, I decided to try again today. It was as though I was invisible. I waited hopefully. Nothing. I tried to get the attention of the person behind the counter. She ignored me. Still, I waited. Nothing. I could and should have spent those minutes driving to another nail salon. I just wanted a pedicure but what I got was nothing but a dis. This is hard.. The review I didn't want to write. I'm reluctantly giving this place 2 stars after being a long time customer. Staff for the most part at this salon is nice and courteous and prompt. I've noticed that some things have changed since I started going here over 4 years ago. A little backstory: This place was once affiliated with the Creative Nails chain ( a HORRIBLE place to get anything done) and it thrived in doing so. Sometimes if you have been to Creative locations before, you can see some of the staff spillover from these other places. I was happy to see some of those faces. Reception staff is always warm and welcoming, and that is probably one of this places longstanding strengths. You are taken care of as soon as you walk in, no matter how busy it is or what you need, you are taken care of ASAP! Complimentary drinks in the cooler and comfy and relaxed reception area. If its really busy you can grab a bite at Sapporo and they'll even call you when your appointment is ready. Large variety of regular colors and gel colors, good brands too.. OPI, ESSIE and China Glaze . They always have at least one acrylic expert there that can do a full set in 25 mins and a blinding fast fill. I've had all of the nail and wax services but none of the spa services outside of a spa pedicure. The pedicures are no joke here. I've never felt rushed and all expectations are met and surpassed in this area. Spa pedi is about 45 bucks and I feel it's just about worth that. Now I'll say this now, all of the good things about this place absolutely break my heart when I think about never going back. Its SO hard to find a good nail salon and even harder to find one that suits your style, persona and wallet all in one. My number one complaint is inconsistency. Sometimes I just go there or a quick brow/lip wax and I end up leaving with my whole face burning and stinging. Why? because I'm asking for a brow wax but rudely told I need my chin or face or even Cheeks waxed?? Now its kind of offensive to tell a lady they have a beard but its not to say that they need to wax their chin? It's beyond rudeness. Its like they are praying on your insecurity And rely on your impulsiveness. So naturally each time this occurred I agreed and paid for tons more wax than was expected. And on a couple occasions I've been in the payment process and another 10-30 bucks was tacked on because they had to use more wax because my hair is thick and difficult to remove..? Look. I know I have Greek ancestors but I think that even the hairiest or hairy women would be offended by that. Put a bad taste in my mouth every time and I swore up and down the street Id never go back. But alas if return because of the conscience of having this place so close to my work and on my way home. In the time Thats passed, the prices have gone up noticeably and the cleanliness seems to have taken a nose dive. In July I got a brow wax after not being back in a while so it took a bit.i neglected to ask the her to not use oil afterwards cause it tends to make me break out, it was then slathered all over my face. The wax was also not carefully applied so she got it all over ,y eyelashes. Yeah... Getting that off was fun. Oh and he breakout? Was more than a little redness or spots. I looked like I was diseased. Hundreds of tiny hard bumps appeared and didn't go away for almost 2 weeks. I recently tried again with the same wax and specifically asked for no oil. I was given gel instead and results? Exactly the same. Its always a clean and nice wax and my brows look great but I'm still scratching at the bumps!! Professionalism here depends on who you get or encounter. I've had great service from the nicest and sweetest and funniest people here but also half assed, crass and intrusive from others. It really is like a turkey shoot and you take a chance every-time you walk in. I can say my experiences were mostly positive. I can't take another chance at a sorta maybe kinda good salon experience. The nail esthetician (I will not say his name because I'll feel bad) made three of my fingers bleed, and with each nail he painted, he used his fingernails to get the paint off of my skin. This salon offers a ten dollar discount after ten visits. I was a loyal customer until today. Last month I reached 10 visits and the receptionist denied me my discount. Told me that I would receive it on my 11th visit. Today was my 12th visit and the computer was obviously reset to show that I only had 3 visits!!! I was denied my discount!!! She was rude, pretended to talk to owner who is never around anymore. It's more about being scammed and the integrity of a business!!! As long as I am at it, the ladies room barely has a light, and the toilet hardly works. The plastic on the chair controls does not wrap around so that it offers no protection from COVID!!! Just had my second visit here, both for pedicures. First Visit: Nice people, clean facility, VERY professional. Included a very nice lower leg and foot massage, all for just $27. Didn't feel rushed, the technician was very detail oriented. Great massage chairs. Second Visit: All of the same except a new woman at the front desk really bullied me into not getting the "basic" predi, so I agreed to a $37 option. THEN at check out, it was suddenly $45. I got a full set of acrylics. My nail technician got up about 12 times to do other things. My appointment was at 11:30 I didn't start until 11:50. She didn't ask how long I wanted my nails so I had to tell her I wanted them longer than she assumed. While filing she was very aggressive and with the electric file she kept hitting my skin and burning me. I asked her to fix something and she rudely told me she wasn't don't yet. Truly terrible pedicure experience! The woman, Kim, was very rough in trimming my cuticles. She cut my big toe. Then, a very rude woman sat beside me and was making loud business calls for the whole time I was there. When I got home I noticed that the polish had been applied very sloppily and that portions of each nail were showing through the polish. Awful! Don't go here! And it was $28. I used to come here all the time and I never had a problem. Then a few weeks ago I went and this lady I've never seen before was working the desk. She was fine at first until I asked for her to help me find a matching color for my feet. She became irritated. The owner listened carefully to what I wanted, then they did one nail as a test. I love it - exactly what I asked for! These guys were so nice they charged me just for a polish change... I've visited this spa twice, hoping my bad experience were just caused by an off day- but I will be giving no more chances. The first time I went, my friend had a horrible experience with one woman who told refused to cut her nails shorter and ignored her when she asked for no pink tint. She yelled "I know!" And applied it anyway. She was horribly rude the entire appointment. It was in no way a relaxing experience. After trying again and requesting a different nail tech, we didn't find the experience any better. My friend's nails were completely uneven and I had polish all over my toes. Also, they will give you a hard time about sitting next to the person you are getting a pedicure with. They told me I had to move after finishing mine even though my friend wasn't done yet. The bad experience of this spa outweighs the convenience of the location. I would not recommend to anyone. read more

Went today for a pedicure and gel manicure with my sisters. The pedicure was decent, nothing special. But the manicure was extremely subpar. First of all, I had to ask the technician to file my nails to the same length. I kept thinking maybe she would go back and fix them but then when she asked me to wash my hands, I finally spoke up. Who wants their nails to be different lengths? I had to ask her to fix parts of my nails that weren't painted as I was getting the gel. She even dropped the brush she was using on the floor mid manicure. And I ended up with gel polish all over my finger tips (which I had another technician remove). Very sloppy. Only giving 3 stars because my mother swears by Tina. She graciously offered a gift card to make up for the less than satisfactory service. Clean, efficient and comfortable. I'm a nurse so I pay close attention to infection control practices at nail salons. This is one of the best. They use disposable liners in foot baths, open a new set of tools for each customer and disinfect well in between. It may be a bit more expensive compared to others in the area but the ease of mind is well worth it for me. They don't rush you and also deliver a great foot and leg massage as a bonus to the routine pedicure. My nails always come out looking great. read more

Within two days one finger broke and I did nothing to make it break I just happened to look and my finger and realize half of the nail was gone. I've been coming here for years because I live really close to this nail salon and always come because it's convenient but am always disappointed with both the nails and the service. Some of the people who work there are incredibly rude, I've had someone even get frustrated with me when I asked to not use an e-file during a gel manicure because my nails were really thin and she cut me twice while doing cuticle work. There have been other times where I come and they cut down all my nails even after I told them not to. I've had them refuse to paint my nails a color that I chose because "It won't look good on me" And the last time I went the guy who did my nails used an e-file on my natural nails and even after I asked him to stop he still continued and he ended up burning one of my fingers with the e-file so I will not be coming back. I can often joke with the staff and they are always talkative and friendly. I've been to most of the other salons in the area and have never been more satisfied than I am with this one. I've been a regular at Beauty Zone for about two years now. The manager Brian is a sweetheart and the owner Ashley is fantastic! Lots of the girls in here are very thorough with their work. I personally swear by Tina and Kayla. The technicians and management in here will remember you on a first name basis and take their time making sure their work meets your standards. new woman up front managing shop. today I witnessed a woman losing a toe nail, ripped right off, when fan inside was missing the unprotected cover. The woman next to the toe nail lady passed out because of how disgusting the injury was...then the manager had the nerve to charge full price for both customers. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Bad. Just bad. I went here for a gel polish mani and pedi to celebrate the start of summer. Yes. It was a while ago. The gel polish was put on too thick in some areas and uneven throughout. I had to go back three times in three days to get them "fixed". Finally after the third attempt, they were actually done well, and stayed for about 2 weeks. Fine. Annoying, but fine. But the pedicure, that's another story. First we were pushed to get a "better" pedicure. Fine. What's $10 more. And I don't get pedicures often. Then I was asked if I wanted designs on the nails. Another upcharge. Again. Ok - fine. During the pedicure, the technician nicked my toe right under the nail, and ran the emery board over it numerous times. The leg/foot massage was nice, and the polish job was pretty. I did leave the polish on for a long time, it did actually stay on well, to their credit. I took the easy way out, and just painted over the existing polish. I now have nail fungus in the nail right where she nicked my toe. GROSS!!!!! Now I am in for a treatment of months up to a year, and still not get rid of it all. Thanks beauty zone. NEVER going back!!! There are plenty of much better nail salons in Westborough. read more

i honestly don't even want to give them a star at all.. i just had the absolute worst experience at Beauty Zone Nails & Spa - Westborough, MA. i went in for a full which is $20. the man doing my nails completely ruined my nails. laughed in my face and took off half of my actual nail. i went to the manager and explained what happened and he told me that someone else would fix them for me. keep in mind i already had been there for an hour with the first guy. i had to get the nails removed for 20 minutes. a new set put on, which took another hour and 15. the manager charged me $40 for my "new set, getting the first ones removed and for shaping my nails." and then when i told him that it was ridiculous to charge me for it he started arguing with me and told me to get out. i got there at 11 this morning and am just leaving now. it's 2 o'clock. i will never go back there nor do i recommend anyone. (side note- met a woman there who was a saint and bought me a gift certificate, and gave me her email so we could get together. ) read more

Went there yesterday with my 8 year old. She was super excited considering it was her first time getting a pedi n mani. Her feet were not scrubbed!!! While drying her hand nails, she must have moved her hand and she ended up burning the skin by touching the bulb!!!! Upon telling the manager about it, his response was - she is not supposed to move her hands - My response - Did you guys tell her that???? She is a kid, how is she supposed to know that.. I have gone here for years when it was Creative Nails. I typically used the same person that gave me a great pedicure. However the salon has changed. I went in on a Sunday and when I found out there was a 25 min. wait, and I opted to make an appointment for the next morning at 9:30. I arrived for my appointment on time. After about 5 mins I was seated in a chair with water and told it would be a few mins. Then 15 mins later I was told a few mins more. At 10:05 I used my cell phone to search for another salon that could take me right away and found Posh Nails on Lyman Street. At 10:10, I got out of the tub and told the receptionist that I could not wait anymore. Waiting 40 mins for a 9:30 appointment in my mind is not good business practices. So, if you value your time, my suggestion is to find another salon to have your nails done in Westborough. read more
