I was visiting from out of town and had limited time in the area so I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

I came in on Thursday for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. My appointment was for 5:15 and I got a text that my nail tech was running 15 min late because she was backed up. I go there at 5:30 and the front desk tells me that my nail tech will be done in 10 min. I was already a little annoyed. I didn't get seated till 6:30!!!!!! I work from 6am-4pm, I am exhausted by the end of the day. For them to have someone waiting an hour and 15 min after their scheduled appointment is very disrespectful. There policy states that after 10-15 min your services might not be guaranteed......well how about how long my nail tech takes. If they're only taking appointments and no walk-ins then I expect to be attended at the time I reserved. The service of this place is so great, the staff is nice and the owner is very sweet and front desk is very attentive.... but it's such a shame that they have no concept of time or care about how valuable someone's time is. . I went into VIP Nail not even 24 hours ago with an inspo and chrome finish. My first red flag should have been when the receptionist who actually was very friendly and inviting said" oh i have that color" when she saw my inspo. What do you mean color? its a pink fading to white ombre with a pearl chrome finish. 2nd red flag was the prep of my nails before applying the acrylic. Now i have been to several and I mean several nail salons and dont always have the best prep but this was so bad my cuticles are now in pain and bleeding because she drilled so close to my cuticle. All she did was file and the surface of my nail and apply glue immediately. I honestly thought she was rushing mind you there was only 2 people in there. Now I know the prep work of your nautral nail before applying acrylic and that prep wasnt it. She then applied the pink color but there was no ombre nothing and applied a light coat of chrome onto my nail. I was skeptical but she advised me to " trust the process" so i brushed it off 3 red flag and I mean 3 red flag and the final reason im writing this review and will never go back here was my eyebrows. I requested them waxed but they are not clean they are not shaped and looked like work i could have did at home and on top of that upon leaving the salon the color of my nails was nothing and i mean nothing like my inspo on final result. It looked like one opaque nude color with a hint of pink tint that i could do nothing but question both me and my husand on there was no chrome finish barely at all and they felt so heavy. Come to find out my downstairs neighbor who does nails had to fixed this mess of a set and even stated upon drilling that there was alot of product on my nail, I'm guessing from the powder mixture thing they use to blend the acrylic with your natural nail. She actually cleaned up my set beautifully with an amazing finish and only charged me 25 DOLLARS when VIP charged me 100!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! FIND ANOTHER ONE TRUST ME SAVE YOUR MONEY!!
