Now I am not one to review much of anything but this salon quality of nails was so BAD!!! I had to get my downstairs neighbor to fix the set for me and give if anything close to my inspo. I went into VIP Nail not even 24 hours ago with an inspo and chrome finish. My first red flag should have been when the receptionist who actually was very friendly and inviting said" oh i have that color" when she saw my inspo. What do you mean color? its a pink fading to white ombre with a pearl chrome finish. 2nd red flag was the prep of my nails before applying the acrylic. Now i have been to several and I mean several nail salons and dont always have the best prep but this was so bad my cuticles are now in pain and bleeding because she drilled so close to my cuticle. All she did was file and the surface of my nail and apply glue immediately. I honestly thought she was rushing mind you there was only 2 people in there. Now I know the prep work of your nautral nail before applying acrylic and that prep wasnt it. She then applied the pink color but there was no ombre nothing and applied a light coat of chrome onto my nail. I was skeptical but she advised me to " trust the process" so i brushed it off 3 red flag and I mean 3 red flag and the final reason im writing this review and will never go back here was my eyebrows. I requested them waxed but they are not clean they are not shaped and looked like work i could have did at home and on top of that upon leaving the salon the color of my nails was nothing and i mean nothing like my inspo on final result. It looked like one opaque nude color with a hint of pink tint that i could do nothing but question both me and my husand on there was no chrome finish barely at all and they felt so heavy. Come to find out my downstairs neighbor who does nails had to fixed this mess of a set and even stated upon drilling that there was alot of product on my nail, I'm guessing from the powder mixture thing they use to blend the acrylic with your natural nail. She actually cleaned up my set beautifully with an amazing finish and only charged me 25 DOLLARS when VIP charged me 100!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! FIND ANOTHER ONE TRUST ME SAVE YOUR MONEY!! read more

I saw the 3 star Yelp score however, I decided to try this place anyways because there was no other place available in that area. Trust me I called 10 and all were booked. Anyways, they had an opening available for walkins. When I arrived the hostess was nice she assisted me pretty quickly. I told her I was there for gel pedicure and dip manicure I was seated immediately. My toes were good and the massage was amazing on my legs and feet. Now the reason for the 1-star is because of my hands. I paid $85 for both Gel toes and dip hands. ALL FOR MY HANDS TO START CHIPPING THAT SAME DAY. Its as if she thinned it out to much idk but the color started chipping. My nails under the dip started cracking. Mind you I've had dip on my real nails the last three months and this has never happened. She cut me three times in three different fingers. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE. This business is currently under new management/new owners and I love it. Lee and Lee did my nails and my pedicure and they got down. I was in and out of there fast and quick, my nails are fire and my feet are soft like baby ass. I love all the new employees they got in there, they really know there craft well and do a great job at it. I will be back in two weeks. I'm so happy the previous owners left. They were too damn slow before , I need that double action one do feet n one do hands get me in and out this bitch .they also do individual lashes / 3 n 1 and waxes .. they hooked my eyebrows up too, I'm so grateful to have them around the corner, there very polite, courteous, and fast. read more

have lived in Miami lakes for more than 20 years and had never been and I am very happy with the service... always have appts availiable , the ladies are super nice and they are not chatting out loud like other places, which I cant stand to hear that when you are trying to relax and get away from your own craziness... the host , is very welcoming all the time , also safety measures with the covid.. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. This place left me traumatized I'm not even trying to be dramatic but it was really bad. I did my nails , a full set of apres with design and a regular pedi and I was so disappointed that I didn't even take a picture of them. I called my mom immediately to cry and ask if we had acetone at home because I was going to take them off as soon as I possibly could. I have never experienced anything like this. The paint job was absolutely terrible , there was nail polish all over my cuticles , the nail polish was bumpy with air bubbles , even the shape of nail was bad. Needless to say , I took them off at home and I was able to re do them in a different nail salon. But now a week later and my toes nails are literally BREAKING and the polish is chipping off only after a week. This is ridiculous. read more

Love the time they take to do both mani and pedi and if you want to splurge a little and pay like $10 more get the deluxe pedicure which has the scented kit used.. I like the mango one. This salon is so inconsistent. I've come here plenty of times. Kim is absolutely amazing. She does a great job and she's gentle. I came on a Saturday and Kim was busy. A tech named Dada was available. This was the most painful manicure and pedicure I've ever had. I left with a half*** manicure and aching toes and destroyed cuticles. Her service was so poor. She also spends the entire time speaking on the phone. So a time that was supposed to be relaxing was full of pain and the nail tech arguing with someone on the phone. CUTICLES BEWARE! The lady doing my nails cut me on my skin and on my thumb while trying to clean up my cuticles. I spoke to the owner/manager idk what she was. But she told me that it's because my skin is sensitive when I KNOW my skin is not. I get my nails done all the time never had to write a review on a salon. The lady that did my nails said to call 9-1-1 trying to be funny when it was not. I don't care about the price of anything but when I get my stuff done I expect nothing less. Came here for the first time as a friend referred me close to my house since my usual lady was on vacation. Made an appointment over the phone easily on a Monday and within an hour I was having a mani &pedi done by Monica. Place seemed clean and well maintained. They offer a glass of wine while you're pampered. LOVED the VIP Special pedicure that included a foot scrub and mask. Left the bottom of my feel smooth and my legs silky. GO TO SiSi, Mei, or William! Sisi and Mei are my go-to nail technicians. They always get it right. I've been to VIP Nails at least 8 times. Every time I've been I get exactly what I expect or more! Nails techs take appointments and it is usually fairly easy to get an appointment too. I've only received mani-pedis and gel mani-pedis from VIP Nail. The mani-pedis often last til my next visit. Gel polish last 2.5-3 wks. Sisi is great, kind, and super accommodating! read more

If I could give the place a below ZERO start rating I would. Firstly the customer service is terrible. I went in for a gel pedicure and was placed in the seat with my feet soaking in water, the lady who put me there said nothing and left me sitting in cold water for a good 15 minutes. Once the lady came to do my feet she didn't soak off my previous gel the way they are supposed to, to avoid damage on the nail. She aggressively drilled it all off. At the end of my service my nails were extremely crooked and cut very short unlike what I asked. I ended up having to pay $45 for regular pedicure with gel. I never in my life have paid more than $30 for a pedicure with gel. My friend who got an entire manicure with gel paid $30. They are extremely over priced and NOT even the slightest bit worth the money. Worst experience at a nail salon ever. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Made a simple pedicure appointment for 1pm, got there 15 minutes early. At 1:20 a lady walks in and they saw her immediately. I asked the front desk dude why she was sat before me and they said I had to wait. Never coming here again. They are under new management so they have new perks. For example, coffee, wine, water and new pedi packages (special massages, feet mask, warm towels etc). The staff is usually friendly but I went really early and the tech wasnt the nicest. However she did a great job and was quick and efficient. The reason I gave it a 3, is because it had a very bad smell and they said it was due to the towels. It smelled like wet clothes that have been left out too long. The person said that the faster it would arrive, the better that they had availability. Well... It was that time again, time to get a gel manicure all because they began to chip on the sides. I popped into this place since I was in the area. At lunch they were completely dead only two people where they're being serviced. Apparently they had just got finished Remodeling and they are having their grand re-opening tomorrow however today they were able to fit in a few appointments. Luckily I got Amy she was fast and efficient. She is the cuticle Queen! I have never had my cuticles so cut and cleaned up, my nails and hands looks like they belong in a QVC commercial displaying hand jewelry. She is definitely my go-to for now on when I'm in Miami Lakes. I'm sure this place you need an appointment because when I was there the phone kept ringing for customers to make appointments my entire time there. The pricing isn't too bad I got a special manicure and it cost 40 with the gel. The hot towel made it all as well my hands and arms are still soft from the lotion in the scrub that they used on me. They've recently changed management and it's for the better! The last couple times I've went were great. They are very welcoming and sweet, while also being quick and always accepting a last minute walk-in. I usually bite my nails so I came in for acrylics for the first time and they introduced me to the dip powder treatment which has left my nails growing despite having the tips put on! I have gone here a good amount and every time I go I leave feeling different. It's just not consistent. My dip nails recently has barely been lasting 2 weeks. The pedicure I received today was halfa**. They put NO soap or cleanser in the foot bowl. Didn't use sterilized instruments I had to ask right before I saw her grab literal dirty tools. The first time I went I saw it was a bit busy so I let it be I got my acrylics refilled and they made my COFFIN shape look STILETTO. The second time i called a day in advanced (Sunday) asking if I can make an appointment for the next day (Monday) they said walk-in. I go the next day and the woman that was doing my nails kept complaining about how she wanted to go on vacation that she cancelled her vacation because no one went to work. Which I understand if it's a conversation starter however it was the entire time. She finishes shaping my acrylic and I was satisfied with the shape and expected her to continue because I was satisfied with my service until another person came in and she knew her so she wanted to get rid of me and go talk to her so she sent me to another nail tech in another station to do the painting. The second nail tech was watching videos on her phone while painting my nails and making many mistakes and cleaning it up every stroke of the polish. I still tipped both nail techs out of generosity but I wouldn't go again unless it was a last resort. read more

LOVE/HATE: Amy and Mei are the best nail techs I've ever gone to--so much so that I've always tipped above 20%. But THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO BAD, I will not be returning, even though I have been a loyal customer for 4 years. If the regular receptionist doesn't answer, it's the luck of the draw re: whether or not you will be exposed to rudeness and unprofessional treatment .
