Omg I'm mad AF. So yesterday I go to bebe nail salon to get a fill. The monster who did the fill had no clue what she was doing. She tore up all my cuticles. 4 fingers were like that. So I was super unhappy. I let the owner know when she was done what happened. So she gave me a discount 50% off & told me to come back this morning to get them fixed for free. Even though the experience of getting the fill with that woman was painful and my nails came out looking crappy, I felt like some good customer service was given because they told me to come back in the morning and she would fix them. So I was like ok cool. So I come back this morning & decided, well since we are fixing the nails and nail polish I'll pick another color. No big deal right ? The lady finished up and I was all happy and then I was just gonna tip her for helping me out. And she goes the owner says it's 15$ for a color change. I was like uh wtf. I wouldn't have done the color change then. So I paid her the 15$ and she goes, Well she said she gave you a discount yesterday so basically with the color change you paid full price for a fill. I was like well somebody should have told me before I did it. And actually NO I paid 27$ Instead of 25$ And I walked away and left. I then called the store back and told 1 of the owners about how unhappy I was and that I was told to come back this morning for it to be fixed. And he goes, "well not for free." I said, "why would I come back to pay more then???! Somebody should've communicated better." I said, 1) the woman who did my nails yesterday shouldn't be working there if she's grinding up people's cuticles and making them bleed. And I said I came back for them to be fixed and he said, well they are fixed right ? I was like actually no I still have scabs under my nails that isn't fixed to me. So I said I wouldn't be coming back and neither will my mom and I will be writing a yelp review about this. Funny thing is they called me back while I'm writing and I didn't pick up the phone. Another time they left me sitting waiting for my nail polish to be put on my toes during my pedicure for 25 minutes ...... I kind Of liked this place, it was close to my house, and Hanna does a great job. But this experience really pushed me over the edge. You go somewhere for a good experience and a good product. 0/0 happened here. & over the phone all the owner said was I am sorry to hear that.... Wow. I live probably two blocks away from Bebe, and since it's opening have meant to go by. I don't get my nails done very often, but I feel so bad for neglecting them for so long that I had to treat them right. I must say, I'm an acrylic virgin and don't plan on popping my cherry any time soon. I didn't have an appointment and went in, and every employee there was already working on someone. I sat down and the girl nearest to the door was very friendly and just asked me to wait. It was very cutesy, lots of magazines, I got done with the newest Glamour by the time one of them was free to help me out. I got a french tip on my natural nails, but the lines are so straight and they're buffed so well that they almost look fake! I was very impressed. It was so nice to get a short massage on my hands and arms. The girl who did my nails was very polite and worked very meticulously. She was really good at massaging my hands, I was so chill by the time I left. Another plus is that they use OPI, and that, according to my homegirl obsessed with nails, is the best you can do. I'm not that into nails, but I'm trying to take better care of myself, and I decided that includes investing in having cuter hands (as well as eatting more veggies... I guess). So after I get this awesome mini-massage and great manicure, how much is it? $15. SWEAR. I thought the sign said $18, but I got charged $15 (I left a $20, that was awesome enough that the tip should reflect that). I have been getting my "nails did", for over 10 years and have had my fare share of the good and the bad. Bebe's is by the far the best out of all the little Mom and Pop nail salons I have experienced. Cece, the Owner, is super sweet and has kind eyes. She takes her time and has pride in her work when she sculpts the acyclic on your nail bed. It is like an art piece for her and she has mastered her craft. Other salons treat you like a number and do not take pride in their work. They are either rushing to get to the girl who has been waiting in the pedicure chair or they are sloppy with the acyclic and make your nails look deformed and then blame you that you nails are crooked! Not only does Cece take her time, your nails look incredible. She airbrushes the pink and white and then paints Gel on them to make them look extra shinny. Everywhere I go, people compliment my nails and ask, " Where do you get your nails?" I have been going to Bebe's for over a year with my BFF and Cece even did my nails for my wedding. We rented the place out for a few hours and had a mini Mani & Pedi event with the whole wedding party. The only suggestion I have for Bebe's is to offer champagne or Cucumber Water to guests to make the place a little more plush! I stopped going after my favorite girl who had the best hand for foot massage and kind heart... I have been going to Bebe nail since they first opened. As everyone says, Cece is great. Not just her skill but she is always pleasant to be with too. As for other staff, it is hit or miss. All the girls do a fine job but depending on how busy they are or not, you may have a different experience there. If you want a great service, go during the day on weekday, obviously because it's slower. They try to give you a spot whenever possible even if you walk in. They have a great selection of Gel nail which lasts longer even if you do tons of house work. I personally like Hannah who also tries o do a good job consistently. She listens to what you want and tries to accommodate. I like putting some design on my gel nail and she does a good job. They also give a great food massage too. Very impressed by the cleanliness of the salon and the service. I took 4 family and friends here to get our nail did. I got a little worried as it seemed that they didn't have enough staff to accommodate our party as they were also working on other customers when we came in. Fears were set aside as yes, some ladies of our party were soaking their feet a lot longer than others but the chairs had really good massagers, they had a nice assortment of gossip magazines, and they provided a nice leg and arm massage. The only downside was that my massage did not last as long as the other ladies. I guess I should have "oohed" and "aahed" a lot more to encourage her to continue massaging. My nail polish on my fingers lasted quite a while - 1 week before it showed significant chipping. Spa pedicures - $20; Manicures - $10. This is my manicure 5 days after it was done! I work in healthcare and have a baby so I am very hard on my nails. Because I work in healthcare I never get gel, because once it chips it needs to be removed. This is the only place where my nail polish doesn't chip like crazy 1-2 days later. A few months ago, I would have vowed to never enter another Salon except Bebe. But all good things come to an end! My friends always trust me to tell them about all the good places to get their hair, make up and nails done. And usually when I find a great spot my friends starting going there as well. Unfortunately all of us are on a hunt to find a new place. Anyways so why did I give this place such a low rating? Let me start with why I will go to Bebe's occasionally........ CECE! Yes, CECE she is AMAZING. She does the best acrylics hands down! Seriously I've never received so many compliments since Cece started doing my nails. The acrylics topped with gel last a very long time. And she is a perfectionist. So whenever I need to get acrylics I will have to go to Bebe's! If this review was all about Cece and her work, she would receive beyond 5 stars. So why the low rating? Well the other staff SUX. Ever since they started hiring new staff the quality of the salon has just gone down. I did give the new staff some time but a few pedicures later I found myself always disappointed. A few months ago, a girl named Kelly would always do my pedicures and she was a perfectionist as well but I was disappointed when I found out she no longer worked there. Anyways, I did try to give the other pedicurists a chance but I was unhappy with the experience. My advice to Bebe: Cece does an amazing job on acrylics, the place is sanitary, the spa chairs are pretty good, the nail color selection is plenty to choose from, BUT you need to employee some nail techs that know what good customer service is and overall know what they are doing. I would seriously love to do my acrylics and pedicures at the same place and not have to find another place but Bebe you have disappointed me too many times! read more

Here's what, I've been frequenting this business for many, many years and overall I have liked the service, especially pedicures by Tina and massages by Tom, but (and it's a BIG BUT), what does not work for me is over booking. I consider my time very valuable, as do most people, and unfortunately, this salon seems too often to take their customer's time for granted. If you call and make an appointment for two people, then one would expect that two technicians will be available to serve you - not one stressed out tech who does one patron while the other one waits the better part of an hour for her service. In this instance the other person was my 86 year old mother who cannot sit for long periods. Ultimately I had the tech stop in the middle of my service so she could take care of my mother. While all of this was happening the woman next to me who had also been waiting the entire time threatened to leave ... The icing on the cake - when the owner tells you it's your fault because *you* were unclear about the type of service to be performed (what does it matter, there was one tech for two patrons) and charges you nearly full price when neither one of us received the service we booked. It was a giant fail and not the first time. So sadly, after more than 5 years, I'm over it. Time to find a new nail salon. :( read more

Nothing to complain about at all! I absolutely loved it here. Clean, OPI nail polish, and a REALLY good food/calf massage. At other salons you have to pay for a long and good massage, but here it's a given! No complains, will return! As for the price! I'm used to paying double the amounts for manicures and pedicures that aren't have as good as the ones at Bebe. I think it is $30 for a mani/pedi, but welll worth it! Pretty cheap! read more

I followed Cece from another salon in Walnut Creek so have been going to her for over five years. I have now driven from living in San Ramon, San Leandro, and now Pittsburg to get my nails done. So that can only speak to how AMAZING she is. That and the fact that getting your nails done in my family is right behind going to church and praying the rosary, its that important! Been getting my nails done for nearly 20 years and she is by far the best. Extremely meticulous with her work, I am constantly being asked where I get them done even by others in the business. Also very warm but professional, no gossiping in this salon. She is a considerate waxer (may not sound important to the uninitiated but it is lol). For manis/pedis you can usually walk in but I would highly recommend an appointment for gels or a wax. And their foot massages (included with pedis) are bomb. I have tried so many mani-pedi salons in El Cerrito, Berkeley, Kensington and Albany area and Bebe salon became my favorite. 5 star for cleanliness, 5 star for ladys' smiling and friendly service. They are also very perfectionist, do phenomenal mani-pedis. Why I gave them 4 star? Because I love Essie colors but they carry only Opi so I bring my fav Essie color. Waiting time was little long last time but it was a busy sunday which is understandable. Pedicures are fairly priced and you can expect the foot tubs to be thoroughly cleaned. Sterilized tools are used for each new client and you can make an appointment to avoid wait times during peak times. Enjoy a long foot/leg massage and friendly service. Just wished they would update their color selection. Bring your own if you can for easy touch-ups. My sister and I frequently visit this place and have been very pleased with Viviene and Tina. I was in the neighborhood and used yelp to find this place. The main reason I get pedicures is because I have a lot of callouses and dry skin on my feet. So once or twice a year, I get a pedicure. I really liked the ambiance and felt at ease right away. It was comfortable and very open and clean. The person who worked with me was very friendly and nice, and while the pedicure was going on, I felt like she was really going to town on my callouses and putting in extra effort to really deal with my issues. After I got home though, I realized that I had several areas of my foot that were REALLY raw, and a few areas around the nails that were bloody. It didn't help that I had chosen a red nail polish, so it took me a little while to realize what was going on. A few days later, and a few spots on my feet still hurt! I always have their "Signature" pedi that includes a few extras: Longer foot reflexology/massage, an incredible "Mango-Tangerine" foot exfoliation that smells and feels wonderful and ending with a blue-green mint foot mask that makes your feet feel as if they were brushed with Toothpaste . This is a review that is long over due. I have been going to this nail salon for years and they by far give the best pedicures. All of the ladies that I have sat with, and that is most of them, have provided the most relaxing experience and beautifully painted nails. When it is busy, the male owner will also give pedicures that are equally relaxing. He does not paint nails that well so be sure to ask someone else to paint your nails. I no longer get tips, but when I did CeCe would do them and she was great. I have only had two other people there do my tips, and I cannot remember their names, but one did a good job while the other only did a so-so job. The so-so job is part of the reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5. Although I have seen other people get tips and manicures by someone other than CeCe and they seemed satisfied. The facility is clean and well maintained, but this is not a retreat or spa atmosphere. You will not be offered wine or fruit drinks, and there is no complimentary tapas. At most, you'll be offered a paper cup of filtered water to enjoy in the company of the friendly staff and even the patrons are nice. I know many people who regularly get pedicures have their favorite spot, but I would urge everyone to give this place a try. It will be so worth your time and your feet will thank you. read more

For me this is a typical nail salon, nothing special. The decor needed some help however it was quite spacious inside which was nice. I got a pedicure there and was mildly satisfied. Reasons being that the polish isn't f great quality and chipped soon after. Also, my massage was so so. I kept telling her she can press harder but she did not. This is the best nail place around! I've gone to a couple other places on Solano & this place is right around the corner from Solano & 100x's better! They give you this AWESOME foot massage at the end of your pedi that is to die for, its not just a couple seconds either & its part of their standard pedi that's only $20. The hot towel wrap at the end is nice too. The average pedi time is a bit over an hour long but make the time for yourself & enjoy. I usually go to Nail Today in grand ave, oakland but the wait was way to long that day for me to wait so I tried this nail salon that my friend used to go every two weeks.. I did a pedi, which didn't even last for two days! Not mention that the person who was doing my pedi really hurt me... 10 days later my toe still hurts.. I also did a gel french nails.... THEY DIDN'T LAST FOR EVEN A WEEK!!!!!!!!! I paid $60 dollars with tip for NOTHING! I don't mind paying for my nails when they last at least two weeks..... BeBe is freaking amazing. I took a chance on this place as I had been a devout Nail Shop-er, but I could never make it to E'ville after work (I work in SF) before it closed, so I thought 'Wouldn't it be nice if this BeBe place that is so much closer to my house and open til 7pm on weeknights was even better than the Nail Shop?' and it was! It far exceeded all of my expectations. They give THE BEST and LONGEST foot massages I have ever had, and they don't ask you for an extra $10 for it either. My toes always look impeccable and everyone that works there is so, so friendly and is always happy to see me. I have also had my eyebrows waxed by CC and she does a great job. I always come to Bebe because they never let me down! They are always adequately staffed; I have never waited longer than 5 minutes to be taken care of, with or without an appointment. They give the best hand and feet massages! They make sure every client gets roughly the same amount of time (they use timers) and if it's slow, they spend more time on you. Equipment is sterilized, massage chairs are up to date and working, and if you forget your flip flops, they provide disposable ones for you to wear to the drying station. I usually get a French pedicure, which lasts for quite a while. My manicure lasts pretty long (at least 2 weeks without a single chip) considering all the typing/washing dishes/filing crap that I do on a daily basis. For a regular mani-pedi combo is about $30-$35. The ladies are really sweet and always makes an effort to make you feel welcome. read more

I went with 2 other friends today and 1 of my friends had a great experience and 2 of us were not really satisfied with our pedicures. Here's why I gave this place 2 stars: 1. The guy who did my satisfied friend's pedi took his time with her and gave her a wonderful leg/foot massage and her nail polish looked great. 2. My other friend asked for the "signature pedi" ($35) and she wasn't satisfied at all: 1. the nail polish was sloppy 2. the massage with the scrub was painful 3. the young lady left the scrub on her legs even after she was done....she didn't wipe it off until we asked her for a clean towel! 3. I was seated way after both of my friends were seated, although we all had appointments for 4:30pm (so, they were late). Then, the young lady who was doing my pedi seemed rushed. She exfoliated my feet for 2 seconds and gave me a quick (5 min) leg/foot massage. When she was done I noticed that my big toe didn't have nail polish on the edges (sloppy and rushed). The place looks okay and the fumes are not that strong but with my experience I wouldn't go back. O....and if you leave tip on your card they will charge you and extra $1 (WTF!) The price is right and the place is pretty clean. I docked a star because the ventilation in this place is not the greatest so it kinda smells like acetone and acrylic, as well as the service not being consistent between all the workers. However, generally, they were all good and did not rush through the pedicure. We had a party of 5 and it took awhile to get out of the place because there were maybe only 4 of them working. They have a variety of colors for your nails and their massage chairs still work, but were kinda confusing for me to use. I do need to rave about Cece though. She fixed my poor nail job from LA and gave me a brand spanking new pink and white gel set with dried flowers in two of the nails. I paid the same amount for the set with flowers as I would have for just a "fill" at my old place. She was also great at shaping them and made them thin enough to seem like my natural nails. Wow. I am shocked by the horrible service at this establishment, and as a native of the East Bay and former peon of the service industry I didn't think that was possible at this point. The first time I came here I waited a fair bit before getting service, and when I finally got it, it was alright. The gel manicure peeled off in a few days and the pedicure chipped quickly. I hadn't been back until today when my regular nail shop was closed and a friend recommended this one. When I walked in on my lunch break, there were three customers already there, with two employees. One didn't look up. The other curtly asked what I needed. I asked for a mani/pedi. She started to walk away and told me to come back later. When I asked when to come back, she looked back at me and made eye contact before just walking away without saying another word. Being busy is one thing, but being rude and dismissive is quite another. Obviously, I won't ever return to this awful place, and I encourage you to patronize another business that will appreciate your business instead of taking it for granted. read more

I love the fact that I'm now a "regular" here because I check in on Yelp so much. I am ecstatic about this place and the quality of work that they put out for such a reasonable price. Recently I have been getting Acrylics put on, and I went back again today for a fill. Cece (one of the owners) took one look at my nails after taking off the polish and asked me where I got my nails done last time. (I had a full set put on here about a month ago, and was out of town when I needed a fill, so I went somewhere else) The fact that Cece was able to recognize a bad fill right off the bat is amazing. She takes such pride in her work, and is very meticulous about it. And I think the best part is, at Bebe they are not the type of salon to turn the rotary filer on "high" and tear up your nails to get the job done faster. I feel like the motor is always on low or med, and they take the time to file carefully, so as not to hurt your nail, or catch your cuticle. They also have never "heated" my nail with the friction of the file, which other places can hurt like a Beach. I had Cece trim down my nails, a lot, this time, so much so that they almost don't look like acrylics. She does such a good job shaping the nail bed that it looks like I just have a nice manicure on my natural nails. This being the reason I get acrylics, I like the way they make my hands look. My pedi was great. So relaxing and I love that the foot/calf massage is so long and relaxing. Today I had a pedicure and a fill, and my bill was $35. Totally reasonable, especially when the place I got my "bad" fill was in a town where a pedi is standard at $30. This is my nail spot. Point. End of Discussion. My pedicure was decent and the girl gave me a looong, really nice leg rub so +1 star for that, BUT my manicure (done by the only old lady who was there- so avoid her) was soooooooo horrible. I mean seriously, my nails looked better before I went in. She spent a split second on my cuticles, barely pushing them back so they ended up all jagged, uneven and nasty looking. She was soo engrossed in her conversation with the woman painting my toes that she gave me a half-assed arm rub, during which she proceeded to stop a number of times to make her point or gesture to the other woman. Then she proceeded give me the crappiest paint job i've ever had done on my nails, i mean seriously a child could have done better. I removed the polish the next day. I was so pissed. I went to this salon today and was so turn off. The shop is too quit for me . The staff did not talk to each other or their clients. The young lady that did my nails did not listen to how I want my nails done. I do not like being told "I know I know" WTF . I feel like if I am paying for a service than they should listen my concerns. The worst thing about this place is the fact that the staff ignored me when I ask them for Toilet Paper and paper towels. The staff handed me a rage that looked dirty . I am not going back to this place. I think you should avoid this place because it is a disappointment. read more
