A great stop for any meal if your in Blissfield. Staff is friendly and service is top notch. Food variety is awesome. Lots of homemade options. And the bakers Goods are a bonus!!

Stopped in here on a Friday evening for dinner. Ordered the BBQ fried chicken dinner because I had heard they were known for their chicken. This dish is a half of a chicken with two large side dishes. It was probably the best chicken I had ever eaten. The meat was moist and thick. The BBQ sauce was a little on the sweet side, which is how I like it. There was enough food for two meals but I couldn't stop eating the chicken into it was gone. If you like fried chicken and BBQ sauce, this is an amazing meal.

Made a detour while heading back to Ann Arbor.... their fried chicken was calling me, but I was also intrigued by their pies! Plenty of parking, walked in and was told to seat anywhere I liked, the waitress provided two menus - breakfast and lunch/dinner. While I reviewed the menu, I got water and black coffee... after a while I went with: - 2 pcs dark meat fried chicken with green beans with bacon and Mac-n-Cheese and it came with a bread, went with apple cinnamon. - side order of bacon (got 4 pieces) - $4.99 for side order of bacon Food: 3 out of 5 stars Service 4 out of 5 stars - Apple cinnamon bread was excellent, served hot with butter. The only draw back, it was way too sweet for my tastebuds. - Chicken dinner, be prepared to wait min. of 20 minutes, as it's cooked to order. The chicken was brined, cooked perfectly and the chicken was moist and juicy. However the flavor of the chicken did not penetrate inside the chicken, but this can be overcome by use of the hot sauce! If you get mashed potato and gravy, then gravy will do wonders. The green bean with bacons is not worth it, it's not seasoned at all, so make sure to add some salt or a different side item. The Mac-n-Cheese was excellent, definitely would recommend this by itself. - the side order bacon was good, cooked to crisp, salty and yes very unusual side item to fried chicken. This place is also known for their pies..... so I had to order some... I bought two whole pies - pecan and cherry, but did not consume them myself. The pies were present for others, so I can't say how the pies were, but they are$13.99 each. The visit set me back $58 with two pies, chicken dinner, coffee, side of bacon and tip. It is a bit out of the way for me, but if I'm in the area again, would stop by again. Have to try their fried fish and bbq rib offerings.

Raspberry White Chocolate sweet bread! Sooooo delicious! Free with your meal!

Love the food here. Had my first fried green tomatoes here and they were fabulous. I like the country fried steak also.

All of the service staff has changed, and their waitresses are no longer friendly or inviting. Our recent visit (in a long time) resulted us having a waitress who was just completely clueless. She asked for our drink orders upon sitting, she came back with one persons drink, and the others were sitting there for at least 15 minutes without their drink. When she finally came back, she forgot the order (that she wrote down) and had to retrieve the remaining drinks. She then took our order, but was just really rude. When asking about a menu item she laughed in our faces and talked down to us about it (we wanted to make sure that the eggs were actually poached for the eggs Benedict). About 10-20 minutes later, she walked back to the table, clearly flustered, and asked "okay, what do you guys want to order?" To which we replied that she had already taken our order. She looked blankly at our table, and said "who, me? Or someone else?" It was genuinely concerning. At this point, we've been at the diner for about 30 minutes, finally have drinks, but no food. When she finally returns with a tray full of food, the order is correct, but, lo and behold, the eggs on BOTH Benedict's are essentially hard boiled, and to top it off, there were bits of egg shells throughout the dishes. Overall, our experience was so much less than desirable, and I can honestly say that we will not be returning. Bring back the old City Limits diner, get rid of the really bad waitstaff, and improve the kitchen practices.

Not complaining though -- I've been to Cracker Barrel before and I genuinely love it. Comfort food, rocking chairs, and a gift shop you accidentally walk through every single time? Sign me up. If you have ever been to one, the place is very comforting, and reminds you of taking a wagon train out east. We placed our order and quickly realized our server was probably new. I actually admire anyone jumping into the trenches and figuring things out on the fly, because we've all been there. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to have much backup, and things started slipping through the cracks. A few forgotten items here, a missing thing there -- nothing malicious, just very clearly a learning curve in progress. I do give him credit for the effort and staying polite throughout. When the food finally came out, it was the usual Cracker Barrel situation: portions large enough to feed a small family. We ordered a variety of items -- baked potato, side of broccoli, a NY steak, and I went with the pot roast skillet. Flavor-wise, the skillet was good, but wow... it leaned hard into the salt. Like, one more sprinkle and we'd be in ocean territory. That said, the pecan skillet completely redeemed the experience. Absolutely delicious. Sweet, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're eating at a place known for comfort food. Overall, classic Cracker Barrel vibes: big portions, familiar flavors, a bit of chaos, and at least one dish that makes you glad you stopped. I'd still come back, maybe just with a glass of water ready for that pot roast. Oh and of course to the gift shop that has everything under the sun. I made it out with some candy sticks, some bit-o-honey, since i haven't seen that candy in ages and some other classic candies.
