We stopped in today for a late breakfast after a trip to Cabella's. It's a hop, skip and a jump from there. While the entrance was unimposing the diner inside was inviting and had lots of seating. Our waitstaff and the other staff we interacted with were so nice! The portions were really generous! We opted for breakfast. Hubby had the #3 and instead of hash browns got a yummy bowl of peach slices. I had a veggie and cheese omlette that was full of flavor - the veggies inside were all nicely sautéed. We both chose the raisin toast at a slight uncharge and boy it was worth it. We're already planning our next visit (and we live an hour away!) We ended up here after the original place we wanted to go to was a 45 minute wait. I honestly didnt even know it existed, but im so glad we found it! We were able to sit right down in a comfy booth, our server was working her butt off, and she was the only one on the floor! Our food came quickly and it was delicious! I had a chef salad and my partner had the mushroom burger. The only thing i missed was egg on the salad! Prices were reasonable, a great experience! Will be back! read more

This will be my new breakfast stop when traveling south! It is only slightly off the highway, and not advertised with a highway sign. Filled with locals, but still no waiting for a table around 1/ am Sunday, the service was a truly remarkable team worthy of comment. There were pmalmost a dozen workers for about as many tables and booths. Mostly very young and blonde, the waitresses were attentive but not bothersome, giving the sense that some of them are close relatives. WooHoo! they have grits on the menu. Everything was served quickly and just happened to be exactly the way I like it. Given the high quality service, it would be reasonable to assume they can cook eggs and prepare toast exactly the way you want, so be sure to make requests when ordering. There were young children there, but very much under control. The gravy on my chicken fried steak was really good and definitely homemade. Goff cheese used in the eggs. Nothing greasy and very clean and fresh. Floor a bit messy, but this was peak time. read more

The food here was pretty good. However, they are not very covid friendly. No one wears masks (owner or customers) , so it's very uncomfortable as a guest. The wait staff does wear masks at your table but take it off in the back. It's disappointing because Michigan just opened their restaurants and they can't even follow the simple rules put in place. Stopped here for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy was pretty good, hash browns were great. A bit expensive at $13+ including soda. But the horrible was our server completely disappeared. No extra napkins, no refills, no check. We say near the register and all these wait staff walked by snd said nothing to us. We went to the register and mentioned that we did not have a bill. Once we ordered I thought everything would be fine. 10 came around and no food. Others were waiting also .... Finally the waitress came over and said our food is up next. Then we watched her serve food to 3 or 4 other tables that arrived after us. Owner was rude to us .... 'Do you want your food or not'. ..... Once we placed the order we waited patiently, and eventually took until about 10 o'clock before we were addressed by the waitress stating that ours would be next, this was the farthest from the truth because 3 to 4 other tables got their food that arrived after us at the one hour mark still waiting for food, I made eye contact with the owner or possibly the manager. Another solid restaurant found on Yelp. Was meeting my daughter on her way back to Cleveland and Dundee seemed to be the best locale. We met at the Bricktown Diner for a Sunday brunch. The restaurant is spacious and had several large tables to accommodate our group of five. We all had breakfast items and all were very good. My only complaint was, as with most breakfast spots, they could not seem to make soft scrambled eggs. Oh well. Everyone in our party enjoyed the ample portions of good food and coffee. The restaurant is also very convenient to US23 so my daughter could continue on her journey. Thank you fellow Yelpers for a fine suggestion. What a super find! We got off the highway looking for the Bob Evans...turned the wrong way, and wound up in Historic Dundee. Saw this cool looking diner, and our minds were made up! The interior is welcoming: lots of locals having breakfast, hardwood floors, exposed brick walls (so apropos!) Tea/coffee were tasty. Breakfast special was 2 eggs; choice of hash browns, home fries, canned peaches, or grits; choice of sausage, ham, or bacon; and toast. All this for $3.99! I upgraded my hash browns to include onions and green pepper--with no issue at all. It was soooo good! Spouse ordered the ham & cheese omelette, with peaches on the side. He said the ham was very tasty--definitely real ham, not lunch meat. I was glad he ordered peaches, because my mound of hash browns was way to much for one person--after moving all my onions/peppers to the "keeper" side (let's not get crazy with generosity!) I shared half my potatoes with him--still had a hard time finishing this delicious breakfast. Service was friendly, accurate, and welcoming. We order from here once a week. Every other order seems to be messed up. They don't seem to care to turn out and serve bad food. Today we ordered three items. My husband ordered a burger that should have had a sauce. It came with nothing but the toppings. I ordered two of the burger lo cal plates. Both burgers burned on both sides. GREAT CONEY DOGS! The buns fresh, the dogs natural casing with a good snap. The chili was flavorful and the fries were thin and hot. My wife loved the homemade chicken soup and was very impressed that the club sandwich was made with whole grilled chicken breast and thick bacon. My son had a bacon cheese burger and liked how the bacon didn't pull out as he bit into it. Fried Ice cream for dessert. I will stop in again sometime read more

Great find on a weekend getaway for the Michigan game. I had the basic, eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuit. Always order my eggs medium and hope for the best. They came out exactly how I wanted them to. Wife is picky about her biscuits and gravy. (She likes Bob Evans the best) They gave her a sample dish to try and she loved it! Also had an order of pancakes. Everything was exactly what you'd want for a traditional breakfast. Service was great and food was served timely. Gave me a large "to go" coffee and we hit the toad. Trying a new place for dinner, not real impressed. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. Never got back with me on the vegetable. The salad was definitely clean as it had lots of water. Ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup as well. For some reason they bring the soup and your meal at the same time so you can decide which you would like to eat hot. Both were good when they were warm. The wife had the loose burger and fries. She liked the fries but the loose burger she did not like because of the sauce. Could see why things were slow. The crew were having a talk fest in the back and tossing something at each other. Small town diner in Dundee, it had a good crowd for a Sunday night. My sister ordered the walleye and loved it. I got the 20 piece shrimp dinner and was underwhelmed. The pieces were parts of shrimp, deep breaded and fried. The cocktail sauce had little horseradish, it was mostly vinegar. I ended up using the watered down ketchup instead. read more

Simply inedible. Ordered a chicken hoagie and fries extra crispy for delivery. Food arrived promptly which was great. Could see right away fries were NOT crispy but likely undercooked. Sure enough first bite was a partially raw fry. Remaining fries were barely better. Soggy and tasteless. Hoagie looked good but first bite of chicken is mostly gristle or god knows what. Second bite no better, same for third and fourth at which point I pitched the entire meal. As I said inedible. Highly recommend you look elsewhere if your looking for a delivery meal at the very least. read more

Wow! I wasn't expecting much since I had quite a miserable trip to Dundee's Splash "Universe" but this breakfast more than made up for it!!! My daughter's french toast was to die for!!! And thankfully she's only three so mama scored some extra bites! My country omelet came out looking like a mound of heart attack inducing juicy, deliciousness. The sausage gravy was savory with the slight bit of pepper you love. It covered my omelet and oozed into the egg, onion, cheese, ham, and hash browns to create a creamy, flavorful comfort-of-home experience with each bite. I don't recommend eating this each weekend but when you need a calorie packed feel good, pick me up breakfast-- this is it. Service was great and very gracious with my two, beautiful yet messy princesses.
