Was on the second leg of our trip; left Gettysburg on our way to Lancaster when our 2001 Coleman popup started making a squealing noise on the right side. I looked up to see us passing Beckley's RV in New Oxford, so I turned around and pulled in and asked if they had someone that could look at it. Found out that we had a bad bearing hub assembly etc. Tim and Jeff got to work removing the bad parts and called the Thurmont location and they had the parts, so we jumped in our truck and picked them up. By the time that we got back, Tim and Jeff had the right side prepped and ready to receive the new parts plus they checked the left side as a precaution just to put our mind at ease. The whole staff was very friendly and made a stressful situation better. We are grateful for Tim and Jeffs efforts on getting us back up and rolling! They were a God send when we needed it most. Beckley's has a good reputation, especially their Thurmont MD location. We purchased our travel trailer at the Timonium RV show at a competitive price. I'm handy and expect to find some faulty situations after purchase, but soon realized today's RV's are thrown together without quality control before leaving the manufacturer. I fixed numerous issues, from several water leaks to stripped cabinet screws and loose ball hitch. Our RV only 7 months old. Make sure you check to make sure the washer on top of the ball nut is fully compressed and tight before heading down the road! I drilled a hole through the hitch bold & inserted a cotter pin with no play so the bolt can't back off. My frustration lies in the fact that the Beckley's New Oxford location is subpar. You have to consistently call or email their maintenance personnel in order to get results & followups are out of the question. My wife and I did them a favor by fixing most issues on our own, but some needed their intervention. We wanted to square away every issue possible before the year warranty period expires and didn't want to be inconvenienced by making numerous trips an hour and a half drive one way from our home. We had such a quick and easy experience purchasing our 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie. We stopped by on Wednesday (in the rain) to look at it in person. There was no pressure and we were able to look on our own. We decided it was the RV for us and left with the promise it would be ready to leave for our camping trip Friday morning. We arrived shortly after they opened on Friday morning - did our walkthrough with the salesman (Brett was very thorough), signed the paperwork,and were on the road a few hours later. Called and ordered a toilet valve from Cris on Sat said it would be in first thing on Tuesday Morning and they would call me. Not only did they not call Cris never followed up with his staff as he was off on Tuesday but I stoped there at 3 :00 and they knew nothing of the order. THANKS CRIS A SO CALLED Manager FOR NOT DOING YOUR JOB. POOR EXCUSE FOR SEVICE. I hate to say it but you would be better off going down the road 10 min to Camper's World. I give them 1 star because it's the lowest I can give. Again thanks for nothing CRIS. Update on review was told by office that the part went to there other shop after long talk they brought it to me at the campground I was staying at. No charge. Only problem was the person who delivered it stated the other shop had that part in stock. So even though I got the part free (26$) I was still miss lead on what had occurred. Hence I do not upgrade the 1 star if any thing I would want to down grade. read more

I was a new customer to Beckley's RV. Trying to find a better local place to purchase all my RV needs. As well as other needs for plows, etc. My first experience was great. Prompt on the phone, taking info and saying they would look into the setup for my camper that I was looking for. After that conversation I was promised a call back. Never happened. I called several days later and spoke with the same woman who again just said oh yeah I remember now. I'll call you back this afternoon once I talk with the tech that does that today. Never happened. Again I call a week later and same situation. Lady on the phone guarantees me we will get a call back by Friday, it was currently a Tuesday. They never called. We have decided that this is one of the places like many that are only focused on initial sales and nothing following up after the fact. I again have started a search for a reliable local rv place as this certainly was not. read more

We visited yesterday to look at some small camping trailers and were surprised to see no Covid policy notice posted outside the office and salesmen inside not wearing masks. This continued when we visited a couple of campers - my husband and I sat inside with our masks on while the salesman had his head in the door talking with a mask on but under his chin the whole time. It was quite unnerving as salesmen must come into contact with a lot of people. It was quite different from what we are used to in our home state of Delaware. read more
